Can anyone reccomend me an aftermarket manual transmission for 95' C4 Corvette? I tried to google but nothing comes up. Ideally we want to swap out the stock ZF6 with somethig modern.
As the title says what are pros and cons and which one is better
Hi all, I’m looking to get a new stereo for my car that enables Bluetooth as the adapter is driving me crazy with static and interference. How can I find one that will fit my car? Thanks
So I recently had the lost communication with TCM,( p0700 code turns out it was resistance in some wires with now the codes are clear) but first hand i thought it was a votage issue because I had it tested the battery and alternator and I was only getting 12 volts battery... So I put in a AutoZone after market alternator and battery from O'Reilly's. And a negative battery sensor and positive battery terminal sensor both from Amazon.... Now when I come to a stop and the start stop feature kicks in and my votage meter read 12.3 I get the service charging system message and a battery light but it goes away when I give it gas .. but a po621 code is stored... Can the after market parts be causing my issue.
Please help and thanks in advance
Chevy Malibu 2019 lt
Looking for a new mom mobile (1 kid). I put on ~ 20,000 miles a year (60% interstate, 40% city). I need AWD (ice and snow) and live on a dirt road. Do you think the blazer is a good, low maintenance choice? Thanks in advance!
Looking to buy a 2022 Chevy Malibu LT with around 60k miles. Thoughts? Looking for a reliable car that will last me 6-8 years. Thanks!
Hi all, I saw a 2020 Chevy Traverse LT Trim, All wheel drive for 30k CAD with 72kms mileage on it available at a Chevy showroom.
Is it a good buy ? How about the price ?
How is it in terms of reliability if I want to hold on to it for the next 10 years ?
I plan to do a test drive tomorrow.
Hello all! I have recently acquired a 2013 Chevy Malibu LT for my first car, and I love it. It is used with around 200k miles. While cleaning the car, I noticed that when I open the DRIVERS side door, the lights do not come on. When I open any other door, (passenger, backseat, etc) the lights do come on. I also noticed that when one door is open, the screen next to the odometer shows that said door is open. This works for all doors but the drivers side door, that does not register as opened when I open it. Is there a fix for this? Please help me if you can! Thank you!
I have a 2013 Suburban 2500 which I am replacing the floor underlay as it had some terrible animal smell when i bought it. The truck has rubber floor (ex RCMP vehicle), I have found a good fire resistant 10mm foam underlay which i can cut to size. I wanted to add a little extra either under the foam or between the foam and rubber floor to make the interior a little quieter, I keep coming across sound deadening mats like dynamat type products but i dont want to use that stick on stuff and its quite expensive. Has anyone considered using or used hardwood underlay as an extra sound deadener and moisture barrier?
So I took my 17 Tahoe to the dealership parts and service because I have been having issues with shifting gears and pulling off or reversing also started to hear like a loud fan noise. After googling before taking it in yesterday I read that the transmission was the issue and it’s a known problem once you get to about 120k miles in. I’m at 129666. Well this morning I received a call back from the shop and was told it Looks like a glitter bomb went off and one of the gears was loose and pieces of metal were clogging up everything and not letting the fluid get through. $6200 glitter bomb!! Can someone explain just exactly what that means? What exactly happened?
Hi new to this sub and this will be my first Chevy purchase! The Tahoe has been around for a long time, so do you think with the new design in 2025 I would be good to buy it out of the gate or should I wait for kinks to get worked out as I might with any other car?
My 2019 Volt hit 5 years so I took it to have the coolant changed. The service advisor didn't know what I was talking about when I said I needed the coolant changed and mentioned the three different loops. As expected they called and said the car was ready and only charged me for 1 gallon of coolant. I asked the service advisor if he could double check that all 3 loops were changed, and I mentioned the coolant capacities listed in the manual. He called and said I was right and that they only did the ICE, and that the amount of coolant was correct for that because it was half coolant and half water. This is of course wrong because the manual says to only use the premixed coolant which already has the water. The part number on my invoice is the premix though, so I'm not sure what to make of that.
So now they're supposed to be changing the other two loops and I'm terrified of them doing it wrong. Mostly that they'll use the wrong mix of coolant. Has anyone had any experience dealing with this and have any suggestions? Is there a way for me to test the coolant in the reservoirs to see if it's been diluted.
Also if anyone here works at a Chevy dealer feel free to DM me.
I bought a Chevy Blazer EV and it was in an accident. Quarter panel, LT Light assy and Bracket needs to be replaced.
Car drives fine, but wiring is exposed due to damage (holes) I cannot use it when raining (rains at least 2-3 days/week in my area).
Been waiting for parts for 1.5 months now and no ETA and I keep hearing that it could take 6-8 months at least.
What is the best way to get traction on this? I really hate to let the car sit in the garage (most of the days) and I am just paying the lease.
I’m floating in a strange limbo, nearly two months in, still waiting for a replacement HUD windshield for my 2020 Corvette LT3. GM says the part is backordered and offers no ETA whatsoever; the dealer repeats the same line, and when I reach out to GM directly, they just send me right back to the dealer. Has anyone else been through this surreal cycle? Is there a better way to approach this process?
I always thought the Equniox sport 6 speed 3.6 and the 2010-2012…. Ones Because of a clutch wave plate also I never hear this about the torrent or vue and they had the same transmission
I have a Chevrolet Cruze LTZ Manual and all of a sudden there is "Error code 2" that car is fully serviced with new filters and new fluids like brake fluid etc etc not been damaged what so ever and does normal city driving any help?
Howdy All, I have a 2006 chevy impala LT that I've owned for the better part of 2 years and she's proven to be the most reliable sedan I've ever had!
However, merely 2 months ago or so, she started leaking power steering fluid 20 miles away from where I live. I limped my impala to a nearby shop where they told me (and I had visual confirmation) that the rack and pinion was disconnected and leaking fluid. I live in a rural state so reliable mechanics are difficult to find (plus I had a history w/ that shop) so had them top off my power steering with fluid then I limped back to my town where I live and my trusty mechanic built his shop.
My mechanic inspected my impala and determined that the rack and pinion were cracked, likely due to driving it 20 miles with near non-existent PS fluid. He replaced the rack and pinion with brand new parts but as soon as he took the car off the lift the r&p popped! The r&p were ok but the O-ring was damaged and needed replacing. He inspected her again and found that she was building too much pressure so a power steering pump was to be ordered. He installed a new pump and replaced the O-ring once more but once again, once she was off the lift she popped. Pressure built up, r&p disconnected and leaking fluid, and the O-ring destroyed. He tried one more time, replaced the O-ring, double checked the pump, this time he flushed out the pressure lines and refilled the fluid. But alas, 10 seconds after that car was off the lift the r&p popped again. My mechanic has given up and isn't even charging me for the 16+ hour job that he's done on this car and says I should scrap it. He's convinced it's either a faulty PS pump or something else that he's not seeing. I'm about ready to take her to a certified Chevrolet/GMC dealer to see what they can do but I'm curious if anyone here has some thoughts.
I've checked for recalls and my car has none, I can't find any information regarding this particular problem. Has anyone heard, seen, or worked with this before? What are my options and what do you recommend? I will attach the damaged O-rings to see if they will help irradiate this issue easier.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Saw an incredible 67 Impala in a parking lot. I took a bunch of photos and then did this illustration. It was a gorgeous car!
Well, I do know he was the founder of Chevrolet.
I also learned that he was more than just a company founder, but also a race car driver, from the early era of motorized race cars.
He cemented his position in the auto industry, in addition to the history of it.

Needing some advice!
Got a sick 2011 Cruze with 130k mileage for dirt cheap, car is great!
My phone is paired up and connects. I know 2011s can do bluetooth calling but not bluetooth music, that’s all good cus I got an aux cord.
My issue is with the hands free calling, I press the call button on the wheel and I state “call ____”. It then asks to confirm that I’m calling from my phone, I say yes.
Then it asks to say the name or number of who I’m calling. No matter what I say it always says “pardon?” LOL
So I tried pressing the call button on the radio, it has an option to input numbers, I tried putting my buddy’s in, and pressed the phonebook icon. The message “No Phonebook Available” pops up.
What’s a good way I can fix this so I can use handsfree and be able to just say “Call ____”?
Thanks all!
I just bought a 2025 Tahoe. My state does not require front license plates, but I bought in a neighboring state that does and so every car on their lot already had the front bumper bracket drilled on.
I am not interested in a vanity plate. Has anyone used bumperplugs.com or anything similar to remove the bracket and fill in holes? Any tips to not mess this up so I don’t make it worse than if I just left it on?
I’ve noticed also that if I put it in a second gear and press on gas it also jerks a bit unless I change the gears very gently.
I got a new leased Equinox 2024 sport package. I think the tires PSI were lower than recommended when I got it (low 30s, should be 35) and when the weather got cold where I live they all dropped to 28-29 so I filled to recommended 35. Now we had one warm day and they are too high at 37-38! Should I wait it out as it’ll soon get cold again or do you think it needs to be taken in? I’m not sure if them now being too high will cause issues. Is this a common issue with these tires? I understand small fluctuations in tires w weather but don’t know if I should be concerned. Thanks
