Best Tablet for Gamers?

I play cod mobile mainly and hate the fact that devices overheat, dim the screen... I currently have s24u and want to upgrade to a larger screen. iPads are a no go, cuz the M4 has 3:4 aspect ratio. Currently considering legion y700 and red magic nova. Any help is appreciated!

Samsung S9fe to external display?

Hello tablet experts! I am in the market for a tablet primary for work travel, and during on call shifts. I hate lugging around my heavy laptop.

For the tablet to be a viable travel solution, I need to be able to connect it to HDMI projectors and external displays for presentations. Bonus points for extending the display not just cloning. Casting is not a viable option in all scenarios.

I will happily purchase a USB-C to HDMI converter device.

I have been researching and materials online are unclear. Some say I need Samsung Dex which the S9fe does not support. Others say with the adapter, the S9fe can be extended, even without dex.

Has anyone actually tried using an HDMI adapter with the S9fe to extend the display? Was it successfull? If not, I will have to extend my budget for a dex enabled model.

Smooth tablet for fiancee

Hey, I have a question, I'm looking for a tablet for my fiancee. Her requirements are low: smooth video playback (YouTube, Netflix, Disney), smooth writing on Discord, a browser, maybe some mobile games? I know she plays Honkai: Star Rail. And now the fact, everyone recommends iPads and even older generations, but although they are okay price-wise, the keyboard for them costs as much as the tablet itself. That's already a big price. Can I find something around 350€?

Which tablet for university?

(I’m sorry, this is going to be a long post, but I hope you can help me. Also, sorry for my English, it’s not my first language).

Hello, I'm a space engineering student and am looking for a tablet that can help me with my studies. I would use it primarily for note taking and watching lectures recordings. However, any good hardware specifics could be useful for running some calculation programs (like Matlab Drive) or even cfd post-processing (but again, it is really an additional feature). Therefore, I’d need a tablet with a good battery, given that I would use it for at least 6 hours a day, durable over time (I mean, that doesn’t start slowing down after not even a year) and that doesn’t overheat easily; above all, it should have a good compatible pen and a good app (which allows to take advantage of the features of the pen) for note taking.

My maximum budget, considering the price of the pen too, is around €650, but I would prefer to spend on a good product rather than, for instance, an iPad which, in my opinion, costs too much for what it offers.

Among various products, I found some interesting tablets, although I have troubles deciding which one is best for my needs. OnePlus Tab 2: this one seems to be the best in terms of hardware specifics, even the pen seems ok but the main problem is (at least according to reviews dating back to a few months ago, I don't know if anything has been improved since then) the lack of a good app for notes. HONOR Magic Tab 2: like the previous one, it has very good specifics (even an AMOLED screen for a good price), and watching some video reviews it looks like the notes app has various features, although I'm not convinced by the only one major update guaranteed by HONOR for this product. Huawei MatePad 12X: this tablet is quite interesting due to its matte screen, combined with a good notes app. However, I honestly am not at all informed about software and processors on Huawei devices, not to mention the lack of Google services. Nova RedMagic: I don't know how a tablet optimized for gaming ended up among the picks, but it has a good price for what it offers on paper, although I (expectedly) have no information regarding note taking.

Alternatively, I’m looking into Samsung tablets: while the FE line doesn’t fully convince me (I found too many reviews deeming them not really performing), thanks to Black Friday sales and student discounts, the Galaxy Tab S9 could fit within the budget. Another tablet I’ve looked into is the TCL Nxtpaper 14, interesting for its “e-ink like” screen, but it’s definitely too large to carry around and, in my opinion, has lower performances than the tablets mentioned above. Eventually, I could also buy a magnetic paperlike screen cover.

If you could tell me your experiences with any of these tablets or have any advice it would be of great help!

Thanks for your attention!

Music Sheet, Guitar chords tablet

Hello. What is the cheapest available tablet, preferably out of date tablet? 10"-12 ". I will just use it to read music sheets, guitar chords in live gigs (Ultimateguitar apk/web probably). You know, Android phones too small, and sliding was super hassle. Thanks much for your inputs.

Looking to finally replace my Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 but cant find any.

I am looking to replace my aging Galaxy Tab s2, however even 8 years later i still cannot find anything better than it.

I mostly use if for watching movies and reading books while travelling for work with the occasional web browsing. So i don't need a particularly powerful tablet.

But it would be really nice to get a usb c tablet with a more modern operating system. honestly my biggest issue with the tablet at the moment seems to be transferring files to and from it as the usb ports seems to worn. Battery actually seems to be holding up quite well.

But no matter what i do i cannot find a replacement tablet that is good enough. It almost seems like the tab s2 was a one off design choice nobody ever made a decent succesor.

The thing that comes closest to what i am looking for at the moment would be that new tri-fold phone, but that is definitely out of budget even if it gets released in the eu.

I am looking for the following. Low weight, no more than 400 gram. a comparable screen to the tab s2, which is basically impossible under 700 euro at the moment. around 10 inch as bigger would be unwieldy and i might as well take my laptop at that point good battery life and expandable storage.

Did the update really nerf this tablet that bad? I want a cheap tablet that can use maps, and do some very lite browsing.

Cheapest tablet I can draw on that's not too slow?

I'm going to college next year and want something that can take notes, and I can draw on decently. That being said I don't want it to be so insanely slow since while those are my main purposes I don't want to my tablet struggling to open an app.

I don't mind it being used either, I just want the cheapest thing thats not painful to use, preferable to be under $250.

Lastly, I value having a decent screen but since I want something so cheap I can compromise on that a bit. I also prefer something in the 14-16in range.

Recommendation Request: Voice activated tablet that can show me specific photos/files

Hello,

I'm looking for a tablet that I can use to show me specific files (or photos) when requested via voice. Basically, I want to be able to say "Hey Tablet, show me the Lime Margarita" and have the (specific) recipe and (specific) photo pop up on the screen. I'm not concerned about this taking a lot of setup/time on my end to get working, but would like to set it up once, and then be able to have this work on multiple tablets.

In terms of budget, would like to keep it under $400, and under $200 would be preferable.

Thanks!

Recomm Tablet

Hello, I am a college student currently looking for tablet for notes, drawing, and graphic design. I only have a budget of 25-30,000 php or 300-500 usd. The pen would be one of the defining factors of the tablet, and I also consider lifespan. I want to get the s9 fe but I heard the performance might slow down throughout the years. tablets under my consideration are the Ipad 10th, s9 fe, xiaomi pad

Help.. My first work tablet 🙄

Hi everyone! I would definitely need a rabbit on my next purchase. I need a tablet that allows me to work well enough especially when I'm away from home. During this period I am often out. Primary use: Mainly for writing using github and various crms. I wouldn't want to spend more than 350, if less even better for my use. Thank you!!!

Greetings reddit! I'd love some advice rq (tablet to projector connectivity)

I have an Amazon Fire 10 tablet (13th generation) and a VS king mini projector. The tablet is wireless/Bluetooth only, but the projector is wired connection only/does not have Bluetooth capability. Is there a way to bridge the gap? Maybe a hdmi to Bluetooth adapter device? If anyone needs me to link either device to look at the specs, I can.

(Preferably the solution would cost me no more than $50. Much more than that and I might aswell just replace one of the devices)

School tablet under 7000 rand or 350$, can wait till January and get from Germany

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a tablet primarily for school use. My main needs are running Office 365 smoothly (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and being able to do some research. My budget is around 7500 rand but would prefer under. I found a matepad 11.5 for 6000 but apparently it doesn't have a App Store.If anyone has suggestions for a good, reliable tablet that fits these needs, l'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Xiaomi pad 6 or galaxy tab s6 lite, which one should I get?

For note-taking and drawing.

I like everything about the Tab S6 lite except for its ratio 😭 and I have an old tablet of similar size. The only reason I'm considering the xiaomi pad 6 is I want my new tablet to look different from my old one. Is it worth choosing the xiaomi pad 6 over the galaxy tab for that reason?

Searching for a nice gaming/note taking tablet

I am currently searching for a new note taking, gaming Android tablet. Price range is less than 400€, maybe a little above.

I did my own research and got some nice sales because of Uni and work:

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE (8gb RAM and 256gb) - 389€
-> dunno about the gaming experience
-> got a nice design and is good for note taking n stuff
-> already have a samsung phone

OnePlus Pad 2 - 449€
-> gaming experience seems nice?
-> sizewise okay, but never had a oneplus device
-> no OLED

Lenovo Legion Tab - 381,66€ (12gb RAM, 256gb)
-> size is perfect
-> supports Android 14 and nothing pasts that
-> 6500 mAh seem a bit little?
-> no OLED Any recommendations?

I just want a nice tablet for note taking and gaming (more gaming than notes lol) Any other tablets i can take a look at? Thank you in advance!

Recommendations for a durable large screen tablet for a low vision disabled adult?

My 20-year-old son has significant developmental disabilities and has low vision (bilateral optic nerve involvement). He has a hard time functioning on his 10-inch Fire Kids tablet. I was hoping to buy him a larger tablet for Christmas. Preferably a rugged one with at least a 12-inch screen but I would prefer a 13 or 14-inch screen.

I have even looked into touchscreen laptops but the keyboard would be a hindrance and probably a source of breaking potential. The tablet would need to be water resistant and have a case option that can protect it from 1-3 foot drops. Some ruggedness is needed but nothing extreme. He hasn't been able to break a Fire tablet in the kid's case yet. YouTube Kids app and Amazon Kids app are the only apps he uses.

Nook and kindles

Hi! Looking to buy my first Nook or Kindle since I want to get back into reading. However, time and energy are what I'm short on due to over night reading.

So, I decided to get a nook/Kindle but with so many options I'm not sure where to start.

Any advice?

So which tablet is recommended for student note-taking these days? I'm looking at some of the older model IPads and Surface notebooks as student notebooks where once can annotate PDFs.

Folio or keyboard case for Legion Go tablet (no controllers)

So I want to use my Legion Go as a "laptop away from my laptop" for very light traveling in places (quick intercontinental trips, far into the brush up north, etc). It's a full and decently performant computer, so I'd like an actual professionalish case for it.

I am having a DIFFICULT time finding anything that will fit the form factor. It's quite thick, the dimensions are:

8.27 in x 5.15 in x 0.79 in

or

210 mm x 131 mm x 20 mm

So far every case I've tried hasn't been able to handle this thick of a tablet.

Any suggestions? If not I'll just try to find a way to get a custom case made, but something off the shelf would be understandably cheaper

Note, this will NOT include the controllers anywhere - I just want the tablet in this case
