Welcome to /r/FindAReddit!

Having trouble finding the reddit you need? Post what you're looking for and someone can kindly suggest a reddit for you!

Rules & Guidelines

Please see the full list of rules & guidelines. Many of the rules below have further clarification to assist you in determining why a moderator may have removed your post.

1. Don't be a jerk or be deliberately unhelpful.

  • This applies to everyone. Derogatory and insulting comments and posts as well as comments that are unhelpful are subject to removal.

2. You must post a clear, easy to understand request for a subreddit.

  • There are certain technical exceptions to this that will arise on a case-by-case basis, but if your post is asking for anything other than a subreddit or if the request is very confusing or unclear, it may be removed.

3. NSFW posts are not allowed

  • Unless you have made a request in /r/NSFW411 and they were unable to answer your question. If this is the case, please let us know in the modmail. Moderators will remove NSFW posts at their discretion.

4. No posting of personal information

  • No posting of personal information or requests for personal information of anyone else (including name, location and any other personally-identifiable information).

5. Do not suggest only that the user should use search engines.

  • Our users are here for our help, not sarcastic responses that they should do it themselves.

  • If you have nothing else to say other than to check a search engine, please refrain from commenting and leave the thread to others to assist with.

6. Absolutely no joke or troll suggestions and / or posts.

  • Those that suggest sarcastic, off-topic, trolling or purely incorrect subreddits to those that are genuinely seeking help, or those that make joking / trolling posts may be temporarily banned without warning.

  • This especially includes posts such as "a reddit to find reddits". You have been warned.

  • An example of a joke suggestion would be a response suggesting /r/atheism to a user requesting Christian subreddits.

7. No spam

8. No requests for illegal or prohibited stuff

  • It is against Reddit's terms of service to request or provide methods to exchange or purchase illegal or prohibited goods or services.

Directory

r/FindAReddit's directory indexes 1,000+ up-to-date subreddits, categorized into 50+ different categories. Large categories have their own separate subdirectories which are linked in the main directory. Our very own u/FindBot keeps each subreddit's subscriber count, activity, activity rank, and descriptions up-to-date daily.

Moderate a subreddit with 1,000+ subscribers and want it added to the directory?

Message the mods and the name of the subreddit and its current subscriber count for us to consider.

Found!

When someone's found a subreddit that fits your criteria, you may either thank them in reply which will automatically flair your post, or you may flair your post manually.

How do I flair my post?

When making a new post, click on the Choose a Flair option and select the "Unanswered" flair. If you want to change the flair manually after you already made a post, click on the flair option under it and select the proper flair from the list.

Can I see only 'Found' posts?

Need More Help?

Note: If you need your flair changed, you can do so by going to your post and changing it; it is not a mod-only functionality.

Feel free to contact the mods for questions about submissions, concerns, or anything else not answered here in the sidebar.

Subreddit for getting advice to stop with self harm?

I'm not sure where to look because I don't do it because of depression. I do it because if I see something on my skin like a mole or something I go crazy and just NEED to remove it. (I have OCD) So I kinda need a sub that understands such disorders and that allows such dark topics.

Subreddit for strange newspaper articles/quotes?

I read a lot of old newspapers (from the 1800s, early 1900s) and find a lot of weird stuff. Wondering if there's anywhere where I can share these

I'm making note these are from old papers since I know there are subs for modern, online news articles

Home Repairs

Starting to dive into repairing/remodeling the home I just bought and trying to find the best places to ask questions as a novice. I’m doing things like skim coating, leveling floors, replacing carpet, painting, electrical, etc, but I’m really learning as I go. I’ve searched “home improvement” “diy” “home repair” “flooring” and the like but am wondering if anyone has a solid list of communities that have helped them during their home update process.

Where can I get help figuring out how much I owe my ex?

I am terrible with math and usually my husband had helped me handle the numbers. We are now separated and trying to figure out how much we owe each other for dental/vision/health insurance with our daughter. I really don't want to ask for his help, but I want to make sure my numbers are accurate and I don't overpay him.

Sub for help returning to normal life or relearning daily living skills after a long term disability

Not physical therapy like how to walk again, but overall how to adjust to a new life, and help learning or help finding where to go to learn different skills, ranging from things like driving, socialization, scheduling, cooking, cleaning, etc.

A sub that helps people going through this process. I don’t think r/disability is the right place
