I want to condense this to one or two sections instead of 15+ that way I can organize it better.
What's up? Here's a screenshot comparison of the symptom: https://imgur.com/a/EQey6dT
The first is unselected comment. The second is when the comment is selected. You can see a slight indentation is added to the whole comment, and the font is slightly larger.
This is problematic because when I tried to double-click on a word in a comment when the comment isn't selected, the double-click would fail to land due to the positional shifts upon comment selection.
Where does it happen? Desktop browser Chrome

What browser extensions are installed? I have about 45 browser extensions installed.
Monday all my RES tags just disappeared, along with the list of subreddits in the RES toolbar. Under "my subreddits" the list of subscribed subreddits is there but all info is "n/a". I haven't backed up on this machine but had another machine that RES still worked on and that I'd copied this machine's RES settings over to a few months ago, so I made a backup of that machine's RES settings and restored them on this machine. That was yesterday. I lost a few tags that I'd done on this machine before RES disappeared, but can live with that. All yesterday RES worked fine, and this morning I tagged some users, then suddenly RES was gone again. No tags, no tag presets, no user tag info, nothing. It's like RES looked the very first time it's installed. I tried using Restore from that same restore file, but this time nothing was restored, it's still a virgin RES. Any thoughts?
Also, is there any way to do automatic RES backups to a file? The only options I see are for cloud storage which I don't have.
Scrolling over a post with multiple images using the gallery scroll feature, each scroll moves like 4 pictures at a time rather than one at a time using the primary scroll wheel. Using the secondary scroll wheel (side-scroll) it does 1 at a time, but only goes forwards not backwards.
I've tried changing the scroll settings in mouse settings, as well as in firefox forcing single line scrolling and it has no effect to RES.
When someone begins a comment with a number followed by a period, like "52.", Old Reddit interprets this as the beginning of a numbered list, and replaces that number with "1."
I would like to override this, so that I see the original number instead. Would this be possible?
I could have swore I've done this before, but now can't figure out how to do it, and searching here and google hasn't given me any usable results. I know the username, but they have no post or comment history so I can't click the little widget next to their name in a post or comment to set a RES tag.
Looking to filter two names from reddit. I don't use the app, just the mobile web version. Is RES, or something similar, available for Firefox on Android?
What's up? Returning to RES after a long time, and I cant find a setting.
Where does it happen? Clicking on links to external sites/images/etc would come with a header on top for the post info(titel of post/votes/link to comments/etc.)
Thanks in advance, I scoured the wiki to no avail.
What browser extensions are installed? RES only.
Not sure if this is a user error or what but in my settings i have comments link setup to open in a new window. For one of my accounts - this does not work. Is this a bug or a user error? If the latter, how do I setup RES so that every account uses the same "features"?
I have a filteReddit Comment Content keyword is simply "Collapsed inline media" (without quotes), applied globally, and with replies hidden.
However it only sometimes works. I still see these comments on the normal URL for a submission, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelSnap/comments/1i2maie/global_bounty/ , but it works if I click the permalink for a comment, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/MarvelSnap/comments/1i2maie/global_bounty/m7fv37e/ (no comment appears here).
How can I get this regex to work everywhere?
EDIT: Found a really stupid "solution" that works for me. /^\s*$/ simply hide comments with no characters, which is how filteReddit sees such comments.
I'm trying to go back to new reddit but can't seem to do so. I don't use reddit anywhere enough anymore to care about what it looks like. I've tried uninstalling the chrome extension, I've also tried deactivating it but no luck. How to I go back to new reddit please?
Thanks
You used to be able to watch raw versions of pictures on reddit. Now when I open a pic in a new tab, it redirects to reddit.com, where the picture is embedded. I guess it's due to ad reasons. But when I want to zoom in, it zooms in on the whole website and makes proper displaying of the picture in my desired size impossible, because there is a limit on how the website behaves, since it's not the raw pic.
Sorry if this is not exclusive to RES. But it's a pain in the ass, maybe someone could help me here. thanks
While many subreddits work fine, using dark mode for others results in a white background with grey text for comments. This is incredibly annoying as it means I'm required to turn off subreddit styles to even be able to read the text at all. Is there anything I can do besides turning subreddit style off to make it so these situations change the background and text as well?
What's up? The icons for RES menus are missing and they are showing a broken file link
Where does it happen? Several places. For example, the menu for adding shortcuts to the tool bar would usually show a pencil icon and trashcan icon. Instead, both show a square with letters in it.

I am wondering if it was another extention that does this or if its an RES menu that is turned off by default that I forgot how to navigate to in order to activate it.
Been trying to google this for a while, but I've been wondering if it is possible on RES to set a max width/height on comment images that doesn't involve adding a scroll bar to them, and/or if it's possible to prevent comment images from auto-expanded upon opening a post.
By default old reddit puts the flairs to the right of the title.
As a new.reddit.com refugee, I think the latest Reddit UI is unusable and looks like a shitty mobile port, but I still feel like old.reddit.com feels too clinical, even with Enhancement suite. I think being able to see subreddit Icons next to posts again would really help add some color and make being able to tell where a post is from a lot easier.
I'd also like to get some better separation between posts in my feed. Just a line added to the UI, so they don't blend together as much would really help.
Hi, and thanks for the good work!
Would you consider adding the functionality to untranslate Reddit URLs by default, like this separate extension does?
redditUntranslate automatically cleans up Reddit URLs by removing the ?tl=xx query string parameter, effectively disabling the auto-translation feature. This ensures you view content in its original language without unwanted translations.
Reddit Untranslate - Chrome Web Store
Google started indexing and redirecting to translated Reddit posts, a while ago. This has become quite a nuisance if you're using google in another language (e.g. German) but want to read Reddit posts in their original language (e.g. English)
When I try to enable inline viewer, it shows that permissions are required, but it doesnt show the permission popup like on PC... How to give RES the permissions?

What's up? Cannot grant permissions to view a video redd.it expando. When I click the button, the window with "request permissions" in it appears as normal, but clicking the button does not do anything.
Where does it happen? Anywhere on reddit.
Screenshots or mock-ups Can't paste images here, but it looks normal.
What browser extensions are installed? Graze, indie wiki buddy, RES, and ublock origin.
Tried searching, didn't see an answer. I want to apply a CSS snipper to only some subs. But when I click the "only on:" and then type in some subs I can't get it to work. Thank you!
edit: figured it out. the list of subs needs to be comma separated with no space, i.e.:
pics,news,games
I'm using Reddit Enhancement Suite on Android, and Reddit on my browser is pretty much unusable due to how tiny everything is, as if it's the desktop version of the site. Which it isn't, because enabling desktop view makes it even worse.
I thought RES might fix it, but it didn't.
Any way to fix this without having to use the app or the new layout?
What's up? ???
When browsing through Reddit, some posts that include images that seem to be displayed directly by Reddit.com rather than say Imgur, will display a gallery where I then have to manually click one of the images and then click Next, Next, Next, etc until the gallery is finished. Whereas an album on Imgur, displays the RES expando with the Next and Previous buttons that can be bound to keys.
Basically I want to disable it and revert it to a RES expando that can be controlled via the keyboard.
Where does it happen? ???
Seems to be on posts that display images hosted by Reddit.com directly, not i.redd.it or imgur.com, etc.
Screenshots or mock-ups ???

I don't like either player, I'd rather just use the video player built-in my browser. When I inspect the <video>
element with browser dev tools when RES' player is enabled, it shows a direct link to an mp4 file so I'm guessing this should be possible.
I think it worked for a little while when I was able to use 2nd gen, but that's gone, so I'm uncertain if I need to redo some settings? Suffice it to say, I'm once again being flooded with their names. Yeah, you know the ones. How to fix? Do I need to go back to 1st gen just to escape the madness?
v5.24.7 on Chrome
Old Reddit is the only official reddit design that does that, all the other show the post comments when you tap on the title. Right now this my biggest pet peeve of old Reddit (despite reading Hackernews frequently which does the same thing).
I would like to know how to filter out flairs with full matches only, example is I have "Flair1" and "Flair123", and if I enter "Flair1" to the flair filter it also blocks "Flair123".
Any way to only block "Flair1"?
I don't remember Reddit looking like this, but recently all I get to see is 2-4 titles and a huge preview:
https://imgur.com/a/4tNpa4Y
Turning off RES doesn't seem to affect it, so it's not a setting I accidentally switched one, there. But is there a setting to turn off all preview text? I want to keep preview images, for, uh, reasons...
RES 5.24.7 on Chrome.
Edit: Nevermind, the setting I apparently changed and forgot about was in Reddit Settings / Preferences / Experience / Default feed view = Card. Switched back to =Compact.
