How do I verify email for my reddit account i.e. step-by-step guide, is it under preferences/settings console/dashboard?
when ever i click on a post it opens to a gallery viewer and i'd quite like it to open to the actual post with the comment threads
i know that you can click "comments" but the button is quite small and i'd personally prefer clicking the image or at the very least, the title
https://imgur.com/a/elSSWfG link to what it opens to when i click either the title or image
When comments are downvoted they get collapsed with the message "comment score below threshold", but there's zero reason to do this when my own comments are downvoted. How do I prevent RES from collapsing my own comments?
This happens only on r/wallpapers.No other subreddits (so far) has this problem.
I created a comment filter hoping to get rid of redacted comments from people who blocked me:

Instead of having it gone, it is merely rendered with faded colors:

Is there a way to make such comments disappear completely?
Using RES, when I am on my comments page (https://reddit.com/user/santaspointyhood/comments), is there a way to have RES show not only when my comment was made, but also when the parent post was made? I need it for bot administration (to see if my bot is double posting days later).
Using Chrome 124 and RES 5.24.4.
Could someone clarify what this means:
New Features Initial Firefox for Android support (Min version is 120)
Is RES available as an addon for firefox mobile on android?
I haven't shut down my computer, my browser hasn't closed or updated, nothing has changed. I just went to a new tab and when I returned I didn't have RES (even though it is turned on in my browser). What might have happened?
The RES extension in the FireFox Add-Ons has never been updated beyond 5.22.17. When I download a newer version from github and try to manually load it, Firefox gives a popup saying it can't install it because it's not verified. Are firefox users just shit out of luck?
What's up? Firefox updated. All of my filters are gone, the hundreds of subs and bots I've blocked are showing up.
Where does it happen? Firefox browser
Is there a way to remove the "x days/hours ago" timestamp on comments? A CSS code similar to this one for hiding post rank:
.rank {display: none !important;}
Thanks.
They are expanding to plaintext and not showing the graphics anymore. How can I fix it?

All i really want is the ability to filter humor and other unwanted flairs from my wall
I tried the old site but the look is just too bland, i really prefer 2nd gen as ithas better font and colors among other things, 3rd is horrible
So I can browse amateur pornography without getting inundated with the professional stuff? Thanks!
Hi, I'm a new RES user, and I have 2 questions. Is there any way to hide the upvote percentage of posts? And is it possible to set a new theme for all of Reddit? If so, are there any public themes available that I can use? I see an option to load css stylesheets in the dashboard, but I'm not sure if that's what I'm asking for, and I don't know how to write CSS myself. Thanks.
I have a firestick 4k max, I use the built in silk browser wken browsing reddit from my tv, I was wondering if there's a browser extension for silk browser?
What would be the simplest way to delete ALL of a specific tag, for example "spambot".
I am aware of this page https://www.reddit.com/r/Dashboard/#userTaggerContents but I'm talking about thousands of tagged users. Or alternatively, is there a way to disable the confirmation when I click the trashcan?
ETA: Couldn't figure out how to make it work with RESStorage remove RESmodules.userTagger.tags, tried exporting a backup and tried editing in notepad++ but wasn't confident with what exactly to delete.
Far from elegant but I ended up making an AHK script to automate the clicking, reddit is unusable without RES but I'm surprised I couldn't find an easier way to achieve this.
I'm sure someone smarter than me knows a way to handle this so hopefully they'll come by and reply for anyone else seeking the same solution.
New to RES so I am not sure if I am doing things the wrong way. I just enabled it but can't see any difference, my username still shows in the sidebar at USER FLARI
####What's up?
expected behaviour: (works fine with RES disabled) pressing and holding the right button (>
) will make the cursor continuously keep going rightwards along the text.
buggy behaviour: (when RES is active) pressing and holding the right button (>
) causes the cursor to make one single "step" (move one character / word to the right) and then stop, basically requiring a new press for each such "step".
####Where does it happen?
Inside comment-editing text boxes on reddit, but not inside the URL bar and not inside text-boxes on other websites
####What browser extensions are installed?
nothing that broke RES before
Does RES support getting rid of "Show Full Image" on portrait images in the feed? I found some scripts but this feels like something that should be supported in RES. (And it's ridiculous that Reddit themselves hasn't fixed this glaring usability issue)
- RES Version: v5.22.17
- Browser: Chrome
- Browser Version:
- Cookies Enabled:
- Platform: Mac
- RES Beta: No
- Night mode Enabled: No
I've been playing around with the settings but can't really tell the difference.
This feature has been asked here and there along the years, but seemingly not implemented. I mostly prefer not receiving any inbox notifications, even when I'm specifically asking something. Other users will ping me with highly important matters.
Reddit requires pressing the 'disable inbox replies' for each and every comment, followed by a confirmation prompt.
Note that for posts there's a setting:
RES settings console → Submissions → Submission Helper (submitHelper) → Uncheck Send Replies To Inbox (uncheckSendRepliesToInbox)
Uncheck "send replies to my inbox" by default, when submitting a new post.
Can RES have a blacklist that would prevent this? I can't constanty be on the lookout for the one sub I've been banned from a year ago, which I might stumble into by clicking "other discussions".
When I click-drag to zoom an image, I have to release the click at some point. But now when I release the mouse, it clicks the image and opens a new tab. I don't like that and I don't believe it is intended behavior.
Where does it happen? old.reddit.com
Hey all, sorry if this is a n00b or dumb question, but I love the simplistic look and feel of old reddit, but I'd like to have all the features of new reddit, like being able to paste an img directly into the text window, being able to post polls and stuff like that.
I'm just wondering if there's a way to accomplish this, either with this extension or using it and others.
Thanks for your time!
This is pretty weird but super stressing me out.
I was browsing reddit at the end of my work day (on PC) when I suddenly wasn't recognizing some of the comments in my post history I made that day. Like it seemed like I'd maybe have made them months or years ago and they were showing up as being posted that day with time stamps in "hours ago".
But there were also a couple comments I remembered mixed in here and there.
Visiting the unfamiliar posts themselves was showing other comments in the same thread being from that day. But I didn't recognize them from just hours earlier.
At this point I think my anxiety was kicking off in high gear and it was just really making it hard for me to even comprehend what I was reading. I checked on my phone and was having similar issues but I think I was kind of in anxiety mode by that point.
My one lifeline that some sort of bug was going on is that the pages weren't scrolling down correctly at the time--they'd get "caught" shortly down the page like something was going wrong with the site or RES.
Now reading the posts I recognize my history and everything scrolls like normal, but I can't verify what I was seeing at the time because I purged browser history trying to see if that fixed my problem (it didn't at the time).
Any ideas?
just like the "multi-reddit" panel, I'm looking to minimize the useless 1/3 of my vertical monitor in bask in a true fullscreen of baseless vitriolic comments. I am willing to add another extension for this.
