I commented on a post & the OP blocked me & now because I can't see their profile I can't see their post including my own damn comment, but I'm still getting the notifications for replies to it which I can't see or respond to without using an alt. I have no intention of interaction with OP but I do want to interact with the people interacting with me, is that against the rules?
Is it normal or typical for subreddit mods to have blank profiles? I'd rather not get too detailed for a number of reasons but I was just wondering if this is normal or if it's something to be concerned about. I hope it's okay to ask this here but I didn't know where else to post this. Thanks for any help you can provide!
So I just about exclusively access Reddit via browser at old.reddit.com, even on my phone. The other day it opened via the Android app for whatever reason - can't remember - and the message icon had alerts... and I had like 10+ message requests dating back through at least last year! Some of which I really wish I had seen. I always check my little mail icon in the browser on old.reddit when it's lit up and it never had for these... and I actually can't even figure out where to go to FIND message requests in the browser! Help me out here?
Just got a new Pixel 5a 5G. I can login in the chrome app on the new phone, and can also login in desktop version (Safari and Brave browser works). The only problem is the reddit app. I've tried via google, by typing my username and password, by getting a code via sms to my phone, nothing works.
What can I do?
Android version 14. App version is 2024.45.0 (last update available at Google Play Store).
Hello, I've tried to enter my reddit account from desktop, and found that somehow I have two seaparate accounts, that have one(!) email address. I see that one have other display name (100% mine) and this account (I use on android) is having other name, mine as well.
I didn't know it is even possible in any way, but I don't want it to be deleted. Is there a procedure to glue this two accounts together?..
i’ve tried through the app and website and followed all the suggestions on the official help page. my username and password are right, old reddit doesn’t work, I don’t have a connected didn’t google or apple account, don’t have any browser extensions, and wasn’t in a private tab
I know that simply deleting the account wouldnt do it but if I deleted the posts and the comments that I made BEFORE deleting the account, does this delete the post entirely?
I'm tired of the feed refreshing automatically when I switch apps to something else and switch back. I see a post I'm interested in in the app preview in the app switcher, but when I switch back, the feed automatically refreshed and I lose it. I've looked in the settings and i can't find one that looks like it disables this "feature".
I first noticed this yesterday. I joined /r/WorshipGuitar and /r/guitarpedals. Neither is showing up in "my subreddits" from the dropdown in the top left corner of the homepage. If I go to those subreddits, it shows that I'm a member. I'm set to old reddit.
I save a lot of posts. As I save them and the numbers stack up, the ones at the bottom of my list disappear. I delete some posts and clear them out, and some come back- but not all of them. I know I still have a lot of posts I could see, but I don't know how to get them all back. Any help?
i get the same message whether i'm using old, new, or the most recent version of reddit on desktop. i don't have the app. has anyone else experienced this or found a fix?
For some reason I am getting am error message saying "Sorry about that. There was an error loading content" but just for one community.
beginning a line with ">" turns it into a quote.
how do i write ">" without having it turn the line to a quote ?
I cleared my cache on Chrome Version 130.0.6723.92 (Official Build) (64-bit) a few days ago. Ever since I did that, I cannot view Reddit on Chrome. Chrome is my browser of choice.
When I open Chrome and type in "https://www.reddit.com/" to go to Reddit, Chrome keeps flashing between Reddit and "about:blank".
I can't figure out how to use Reddit on Chome. I'm on a Windows10 pc.
Having issues with this over and over.
When i tried to hide some text in a post it didn't work no matter what, but works perfectly fine when I'm commenting
What happened?
I can no longer view the Popular feed. Every post is advertisements, literally. When I mess with it, and change it to Top of past month or whatever, it will show me the feed, but if I click on literally any post, it will bring the feed back to a year ago, then I have to refresh it and start all over. It's been like this for months, and I have searched through support but I can't find anything similar to this, unless I am searching in the wrong place. Anyone else experiencing something similar?
So I saw some comments on various posts that have a deleted username, but the comment is still actually there, and it was done via a bot and not the user deleting their account, ik this because it said "this comment was deleted by this bot, too keep the user anonymous" or something like that, anyone ever heard of this bot?
Whenever I get some notifications or any message from apps it gets frozen for like 3-5 mins . That makes a bit difficult to type and sometimes I won't be able to see what's behind it during that time. Is there any way to rectify this ????
I deleted a post of mine on accident last night and was wondering if there’s anyway to bring it back
A Reddit account claiming to be me has a nude photo of me as their banner image. This account is using my gamer tag/discord name as its screen name, and it is one of the first results when you Google me.
I've tried reporting through support.reddithelp.com, but it won't allow me to send a link to the banner image or profile.
Please help me. I just want the account taken down, It's been found by multiple people who know me.
What do I do?
Im just trying to add al my friends and Reddit keeps saying too many requests, why
They just clutter up the comment section and are annoying to look at. Do I have options?
