“I’ve been in the USA for a while now and recently got an iPad Air. I’m planning to get the Apple Pencil soon, and I’m debating whether to engrave it. Engraving is a cool option here since it’s not available where I’m from.
But here’s the dilemma: I usually end up selling my iPad when upgrading—it’s already happened twice! So, should I go for the engraving or keep it clean and resell-friendly? What do you guys think?”
Im a student in ib rn and ive been tempting to buy an ipad especially for note taking and doing practice questions on. Was wondering which size would be more easier/efficient to write with
Just got my first mini. Excited to use it as a journal and write in it with the Apple Pencil pro. Recommendations for paper like screen cover and one handed case strap or equivalent.
Thanks!
I recently bought a used iPad Air 5 through Facebook Marketplace and I think I've been scammed. The seller gave me the iPad in working condition, and I was able to sign in with my iCloud account, everything seems okay, so I bought it. However, when I got home, I realized I couldn't download apps or update the system, which seems pretty sketchy. When I tried updating through Finder on my Mac (following Apple's website troubleshooting), the iPad showed a popup saying "iPad locked to owner" with an unfamiliar email address.
I still have all the Facebook Marketplace conversation screenshots as evidence. The seller blocked me, but my partner can still see their profile where they continue to list other Apple products for sale.
Is there any way to recover this iPad if I show all this evidence to Apple? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Any advice would be appreciated.
For clarity: This happened in Canada, if that makes any difference for legal/Apple support options.

ipados 19 should gives up ipad 7th gen and 2018 ipad pro's
hey all,
i just ordered an ipad air with 128gb, as I got a super good black friday deal on it. I didn’t even think about how many GB i would need. I’m going to use it mostly for taking notes at school and maybe for watching the odd youtube video or netflix. Any students here with 128gb who wish they got the 256gb? Or would you say 128gb is enough for note taking and light use? tia!
Traded out my Mini 6 for an M1 Air 5th Gen and I’m in the market for a case. This is primarily a household use iPad so superior protection is not necessary. Just something to keep scratches and stuff from happening. I used a Slim Folio on my Mini and liked it so that’s an option. I don’t need a keyboard, so really just a nice, slim folio style case/cover is all I need. Thanks!
Just wanted to give a comparison photo to the phone in case you were debating on getting the mini because you don’t think it’s much bigger than the phone. This is a 16+ in the photo.
Just wanted to give a comparison photo if anyone is wondering if the iPad mini is much bigger than the phone. The phone in the pic is the 16+.
This morning when I woke up my iPad was dead, which isn’t unusual since this iPad is super old and has to be on a charger at all times or it’ll die (for example: I took my iPad with me downstairs but proceeded to die at 91%). I made sure it was plugged in and said it was charging before I left the house, but when I got back later in the afternoon it was still dead, which also isn’t unusual because it usually uses a specific charger that is just as broken and weird as the iPad (if used for any other device it needs to bent in specific areas to charge it). So I plugged in the weird charger and plugged it into my iPad, but the problem is its been three hours and it’s still dead. If I click the home button it shows it’s dead but is still charging and when I try to restart/reboot it, it shows the same thing. Usually, waiting for my iPad to charge after its died doesn’t take this long, it usually just turns back on but will die if someone tries using it while its still in the 1-20% range. I’ve also tried using one of my better chargers to no avail. I only use the iPad to watch Youtube while multitasking but I still use it pretty often. I don’t know what generation it is, all I know is that it’s an iPad mini. Does anyone know what’s wrong or how to fix it?
When I copy and paste something into an image while I'm editing it in Photos, it doesn't allow me to select one single object anymore. It selects every identical object I've pasted. Say, I draw a circle, copy it, and paste it, so I have two now. I can't just select and move one of them. They both get selected and moved together. What's going on? Is there a way for me to disable that?
Wondering if I should buy this
My iPad is treated like a computer by games I play. I can earn twitch drops (
something the mobile platform
can’t do) and it is flagged as a computer when I log in. I can hook up a keyboard and mouse and they work wonderfully. I can play desktop games in Safari. But for whatever reason I
can’t use Steam or anything similar. I bloody well can, but it refuses because the download
isn’t compatible. At this point Apple should just make it compatible. Is there any way I can do that myself? Like through a jailbreak or some application? This is treated as a desktop computer by everything but downloads, is there any way to fix that?
Hi everyone, I will mainly use my ipad for entertainment purposes only but I wanted to last them long since they’re quite expensive for me. Also, do ipad 10th gen can support for the next 5 years? If yes i think i would pick 10th gen with 256gb. Idk what model to buy please help consider my budget as well hahahah
Hello! Has anyone tried GOOJODOQ’s Gen 5 Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro?
Any thoughts about it? Torn between Gen 4 and Gen 5. Seller isn’t helpful with my queries either. :(
Thank you so much!
Been like this for two hours now, I had her on and off the charger all day and I was doing work so I didn't notice if she's been doing this all day or just started. I've looked at the input and output of the usb-c stuff and changed the accessory passcode setting to on, not sure what else I can do cause nothing looks wrong physically and I haven't dropped her or the charger in water or anything like that.
All help is appreciated
I just bought an iPad 10th gen and I’m looking at getting a 3rd party Stylus Pen. I’m a bit confused at the information I’m seeing online. Can I magnetically attach the Stylus or Apple Pencil to the iPad? Or is that something that only works for the iPad Pro?
For context, I’m looking at buying this stylus for the iPad: https://a.co/d/6QM3YIp
Can anyone tell me why my iPad doesn’t have the people’s contact pictures if I share an iCloud with it and also have google photos synced to it?!
I picked up a 10th gen iPad last week. Looking into stylus options. It'll be used for kids art drawing more than note taking. I'm not averse to the Apple accessories, I just want to know whats out there that's priced well and actually performs as needed. So not too expensive for what it is, but not $10 styluses that need to be replaced in a week or draw with the accuracy of a thumb knuckle.
Obviously there are the Apple pens. And I've looked at the Logitech Crayon which is easier for kids to hold but has some bad reviews on battery life (is that a thing?).
I also came across the Rockrose MagLink Active Capacitive Stylus Pen. Has anyone heard of it or used it?
It seems fairly well priced where I am (Australia), and it is supposed to be compatible with iPadOS 12 and up (although listings never specifically say iPad 10th gen)
Theres also one called Adonit Neo and the Office Works store brand J.Burrows 2 in 1 Stylus for around $60 AUD
So yeah, any stylus recommendations?
I don’t understand why the iOS 18.2 voice memo layering feature doesn’t work on iPad Pro with M4? The hardware should be more than capable for the iPad to do the same thing. Is there something special that the iPhone 16 Pro has that enables this feature that the iPad Pro is missing?
My mind is blown. I’ve been learning Japanese and using a flash cards website with learn mode. I would write the answer on my iPad notes and then type it in on Mac to see if it was right. Scribble is pretty damn accurate and I can practice vocab directly!!
iPad Air, Logitech folio. Let’s say I make a spelling mistake, if I use the cursor I can’t find a way to bring up the correction suggestions. I have tried two finger click, ctrl click, command click, nothings working?
How can I get a feed of my Mac (or even my iPhone screen... or another iPad... or the iPad I'm using FCP on....) into FCP along with the Multicam recording? All this tech enabling me to have 4 cameras... but no screen capture along the way?
I’ve been seeing mixed reviews about it over heating and bad battery, what has been your guys experience with the battery life?
Black Friday deals prompted me to finally retire my iPad Pro 9.7 (2016). Purchased the iPad Air 11” M2 with the Pencil Pro, loving it so far!
