Hey Weezer sub, I finally have the karma to post in here. If you're on the GD sub, you've probably already seen this.

GD and Weezer both have songs named "Troublemaker" and "Holiday". I wanna know your guys' opinions on this.

Personally, I am on Weezer's side for both. Weezer's "Holiday" is one of my favorite songs. And then "Troublemaker" by Weezer is one of the best songs on Red.

Absolutely love this album. I’ve been on a Weezer kick lately after discovering the “White Album” which I love but hadn’t listened to yet at the time. Been a fan since 01 when the green album came out but stopped listening after “Make Believe”.

After discovering the “White Album” I gave the “Red Album” a shot and love it. I knew Pork and Beans but hadn’t heard the rest.

I think Troublemaker, Pork and Beans, Everybody Get Dangerous, Dreamin’, Thought I knew, and The Angel and One are all tens.

I was shocked to see it near the bottom of A couple album rankings lists that some publications and sites listed but love it regardless.

PS: just got the white album on discogs to add to my vinyl collection and will soon be adding the red album

Lastly, if you saw this warning too late, and you think you may have been scammed, you have a couple options:
If possible, cancel the payment through PayPal
If it's too late to cancel through PayPal, contact your bank/credit card company and report the scam. It's possible that they might be able to help you get your money back even when PayPal won't
If you're feeling particularly resentful and you're in the US, consider filling out this form: https://complaint.ic3.gov/ (Disclaimer: This is a very serious form. It's the FBI. Don't take this option lightly. Also, I've never personally done that form, so I don't know what it involves. I just know it's for online scams, including international ones such as this)

Yesterday was the green album turn, and O Girlfriend was the most upvoted and commented, so:

for example songs like don't let go, simple pages, and o girlfriend sound really... sweet to me, maybe because of the lyrics. idk how else to describe it. i think the only two songs that aren't sweet are hash pipe and island in the sun, but everything else is. anyone else feel this way?

I’m in Chicago for my a conference and today we had time to explore the city, and we went into the Hard Rock to get a shirt, and I saw Brian Bell’s shirt! I’ve never seen any Weezer memorabilia like that before so I was pretty stoked ngl. I heard they’re closing down soon though so I don’t know where that shirt will end up. Probably a vault to be honest 😔

1.Pinkerton (raw , angsty, and a great example of an artist being true to themselves without glorifying their own negative actions. It's almost as haunting as it is relatable.)

2. Blue (do I need to say much more? But in all honesty this album is how most if not all of us fell in love with Weezer. It's geeky and charming and also has their best song imo Say It Ain't So)

3.Ok Human (The stripped back string and piano sound is fresh while still recapturing the same Weezer energy that we all fell in love with. Also came out at the perfect time. All the themes in this album resonated with everybody during the pandemic but it also aged pretty well)

4. Red (I’m blinded by nostalgia , but I just also love the atmosphere of red. It’s very creative even though not every song hits as hard as others. Over hated for sure)

5. White ( basically Weezer Blue on the beach. most songs are amazing and memorable even if they aren’t always the most creative, which is fine )

6. Maladroit ( it sounds rushed in moments of the tracklist but it is the perfect culmination of everything Weezer had done up to that point. Love the guitar work and Burndt Jamb is pretty amazing)

7. SZNZ: Summer (the only song I skip is cuomoville but it’s not as good as those mentioned above)

8. SZNZ: Winter (tbh equally as good as summer , the only reason Summer is higher is Blue Like Jazz. But Winter is more of a return to form to Blue album sound)

9. Green ( Good and catchy but also a little bland. With that being said the only song I dislike is Crab)

10. Make Believe ( inconsistently great , it almost feels like two albums that were meshed together. But Haunt You Everyday is one of Weezers Best)

11. EWBAITE (Its not bad but I don’t go out of my way to listen to any song other than return to Ithaka, I know all Weezer fans really love this album though so I respect it)

12. Pacific Daydream ( Not personally a style of music that does much for me but Mexican Fender is a Masterpiece of a song )

13. SZNZ Autumn (Yet again I disagree with the fanbase that this is the best SZNZ EP, Run Raven Run is great though)

14. Hurley (I don’t really have an opinion on Hurley , I just forget the songs every time I listen to it )

15. Van Weezer ( same as Hurley, also in comparison to OK Human it just falls flat on its face. Weezer was capable of , and did , making better music at the time )

16. SZNZ Spring ( idk it just doesn’t sound like weezer to me, easily my least favorite SZNZ EP. A little bit of love is an alright song)

17. Ratitude ( a lot of not very good songs but also it has a couple of listenable songs)

18. Teal (would be at the bottom just cuz most the covers are worse than the original songs but it’s not unlistenable)

19. Black ( High as a Kite is this albums only saving Grace. I don’t like the sound of this record )

My old list kinda sucks tbh. Also I'm not doing Death to false metal.

1. Blue. The best weezer album. Not by much, but still the best. It has one if the best Album openers ever, and the best album closer I've ever heard. Only in Dreams is my favourite song.

2. Pinkerton. Like I said, Blue wins but not by much. The amount of raw emotion that's put into the lyrics, singing and even the instruments is awesome. It takes a few listens to get into, but once you do, you will love this album.

3. EBWAITE. This album is what I could call their magnum opus after the 90's. This album has every song as a 9/10 or higher, and the songs are all just so damn good.

4. White. I love this album too, mainly because of how early weezer it sounds, but it's got the modern bits of weezer I like too. Like it's not the closest to Blue, but it's really good still.

5. OK Human. The orchestral approach to this album is still super experimental and it worked so well for the band. I would like another album like this, but just a little bit longer than this album's 30-ish minutes.

6. Make Believe. It's severly underrated. It opens up with one of weezer's more mediocre songs, but pretty much everything else on the album is solid. Still, it's a very weird album.

7. Hurley. Yes I still think Hurley is a good album. It's like Red, as it has the same silly charm as it, but done better. This album and Red is just Weezer having fun.

8. Van Weezer. Hell yeah, 80's rock weezer time. Some of the songs on here are really good, the only not great song is Blue Dream. They did Crazy Train dirty with it.

9. Red. Yeah, I've gotten to like this album a lot more, still not my favourite though. It's got some good songs, but also some Mediocre songs.

10. Maladroit. I like this album, but it's not really that re-listenable still. It's not bad, but just hasn't got any replay value.

11. Pacific Daydream. It's not the worst album they've ever done, but it's nowhere great. It's a decent album, and it's a little bit better than green is.

12. Green. It is the most Mediocre album weezer has. There are 2 songs I think are the better ones on the album. Hash Pipe and Crab.

13. Raditude. A lot of people do say this album is trash, but there's a few alright songs, though this album does have Can't stop partying, Love is the answer and for some damn reason a Poker Face cover. Just why?

14. Teal. It's nothing special. Just a cover album. It's alright, but it's not weezer sounding at all.

15. Black. Yeah I'm not defending this album. When I talk about weezer and someone says, oh they suck, i'll always reply with. Well the Black album does. I don't like this album, it's just not good. It sucks.

Oh and here are the SZNZ ep's

1. Autumn. The absolute best one. It's the most fun one, but it also has Run Raven Run, which I still think is a really good song.

2. Summer. Still a good ep, though not as good as Autumn. There isn't too much to say about this other than it's pretty good.

3. Spring. Solid ep, and it's very weird for weezer, but hey it works, and I ain't complaining.

4. Winter. It's not bad by any means, but out of all the ep's it's probably my least favourite one.

The ACTUAL Rivers Cuomo subreddit is just shitposts from what I’ve seen, so hopefully here is the place to give appreciation to Chess. I love this song, what are your thoughts?
