I bought tickets for Modest Mouse using my American Express presale, only to notice in my emails a few days later that I had a presale code from Spotify I could have used.

So to my question… does the Fans First Spotify presale have any perks (ie cheaper seats, closer seats exclusively for that presale, etc)? Or is it the same as any other presale and just gets you early access to regular priced tickets?

I just wanted to throw out some love for Eric Judy’s bass line in 3rd Planet. Eric’s an incredible bassist all around—I once read someone describe his style as “ropey,” and it totally fits. The way he glides across the entire neck is something I haven’t really seen matched elsewhere. And he’s not flashy, either; his lines just fit so gracefully behind everything else that’s going on. 3rd Planet is a perfect example of that. I hadn’t even really noticed the bass in the song until recently, but once I heard it, it was all I could hear because it’s so interesting. I especially love what he’s doing when the guitar chords come in.

All apropos of nothing, really. But if you haven’t paid attention to it before, do it now. It changes the whole song.

Anyone else ever notice how Heart Cooks Brain and Out Of Gas have the same melody, guitar riff, baseline, and tempo? Almost the same songs instrumentally.

It either does nothing, goes to a blank white page, or a page that says "tickets for this event are not on sale yet. Would you like to be notified when they go on sale?" Anyone else running into this issue, or am I just not holding my mouth right?

Modest Mouse live in Vancouver 2022

I briefly subscribed to ICP last year before a show, but didn't really get familiar with everything on the site. Now I'm thinking about subscribing again and I'm wondering what the member message boards are like. Are they any different than here? Are there any threads for people attending shows in the same cities?

For the guitar players out there, what is your favorite (or imagine the best) MM songs to play on the guitar?

I'm extremely excited that the summer tour kicks off with 3 Florida shows. At first, I wanted to see all 3 shows. Now I'm wondering if it's worth it to sacrifice 2 of those for a VIP package at one, probably HoB in Orlando. For anyone that's done the VIP experience, was it worth what you paid? Would you do it again?
