Anybody know the wind instrument in the chills part of something vague? To me that's a flute but I don't really know

i literally haven’t listened to anyone/anything besides bright eyes and conor’s solo stuff. it’s been like 3 months of this, i’ve been a fan for a long time and i swear every year i fall into this pit of ONLY conor oberst media !

Does anyone know if there’s a reason for two shows that weekend? Got myself and my boyfriend tickets to both, I was wondering if there is anything specific about them? It is the exact 20 year anniversary of I’m Wide Awake and Digital ash … hoping something special due to that but I’m just excited to see my favorite band in my favorite city :-)

The first Bright Eyes song that I ever heard was The Calendar Hung Itself, this was back in 2007 when I moved to California from Connecticut. I'm honestly surprised I didn't hear of them any sooner.

I posted about this a few years ago, but some time has passed and new people have come into this subreddit since then, so I figured I'd try one more time.

On Sept 25, 2002, I saw Bright Eyes at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. This was during the Lifted tour with the orchestra. M. Ward was the opening act. The Bruces may have performed as well? I may be making that up.

I've spoken to a few people who collect show recordings who have said as far as they know, a recording of this show does not exist. Sadly, I personally recorded the show myself and lost the recordings many years ago.

I figured I'd check in to see if somehow anyone knows anything. Thank you all for your time :)

Just some fun details about the show... Belcourt used to be an old movie theater from my understanding so at the time they still sold popcorn in the lobby and the stage still had large red curtains. After the show, Conor and the guys were moving their equipment themselves in front of the venue. Me and a friend helped them move something and Conor gave me a hug and my friend a kiss on the lips 😅 really fun night and great show.

For me, “a collection of songs” is the feeling of Christmas break as a twelve year old

Letting off the happiness is also winter but the shitty parts like February and march

“Im wide awake it’s morning” is early summer and “casadaga” is the two weeks in august where you go and live with your grandparents on their farm

Not sure if this is a good place for this. I am not seeing a customer service on the band's website. On the 15th of November I ordered tickets to the 4/1/25 show, and had received a confirmation email and the download ticket email, but now those emails are just gone. Not in my inbox, not in spam, not in deleted. PayPal still shows my purchase but all emails connected to the purchase are gone. Ordered them via the band website since for some reason the tickets weren't showing on any of the ticket apps.

Edit: Well, I was able to find my tickets, they had sent a text with a link to the tickets. Gonna leave this up, in c-ase someone else ends with the same problem as me

my favorite bright eyes song changes at least 3x per month. every single song blows me away. and the conor rabbithole of music goes so deep it's like you could never run out of things to listen to. GOOD MORNING SAY IT BACK
