Throwback the Armory show in Minneapolis Nov. 2022.
It features these black minimalist eyes first open then closing on a completely pink background. Total coincidence but funny.
AF has a new Bluesky account? Is this legit you think? 🤔
Okay, super fan here who is having trouble thinking about anything other than a potential new release. But I kinda hate social media and try not to look at too often during the day. But I don’t want to miss anything! Are there any options for setting Arcade Fire specific notifications on some platform?
As we collectively simmer in the shared anticipation of a new album, I have a few questions I am really curious about…
Who produced this album? Was Rick Rubin involved in production?
Are some of these songs left over from the Nigel WE sessions?
Is the album being released on a new label, the same label, or independently?
Looking at the art on their socials, it seems similar to the “Eye unsubscribe” imagery from WE and from the animated short film that was released separately from their music. Will it remain eyes or change into something else?
How long will the album be?
How will media outlets cover the release? Will the band do interviews at all?
What are all of you curious about for this album rollout?
“it’s the year of the snake so let your heart break” New lyric I’m assuming? Lunar New Year is about to happen and 2025 is the Year of the Snake
If a new album is on the horizon, how do you think it will differ from previous works, since Will has left the band?
This is from the ‘secret’ (lol everyone knew) Festival Of The Sun by Rick Rubin, in Tuscany, last june. Don’t know if you guys saw any footage from this very intimate acoustic concert… i have more if you want (we got to hang out later that night, twas special)
What could this be? 🤔
New album?
I’m really hoping for more shows added this year. I’d love to go see their only scheduled gig thus far for 2025, but to be completely honest, The Counting Crows are my absolute worst band, and I couldn’t imagine having to listen to one note of their music. Even if AF is up after them.
I think I got this for a Partners in Health donation at some point.
Only unrolled twice; once when I got it once for this photo.
Free to anyone active in this sub. Just send me a link to print a shipping label and it’s yours.
I’ll pick randomly from the top 3 upvoted responses at end of weekend.
For me that's Awful Sound. Cold Wind would be awesome too!
I watched historie de feu (forgive me if I spelt it wrong) a while ago and noticed half light I had different lyrics originally... However I forgot until this video popped up in my recommended today
Does anybody know the early lyrics for this song ?? I love this raw recording but it's really hard to tell what win is singing but the little that is audible the words don't match up to the final song... If anybody knows the original that would be pretty awesome 🥹
I bought my tickets to see Arcade Fire at the Highwater Festival in Charleston on April 27. Well, there’s like six other bands but of course AF is the one I’m interested in. So excited for my third AF concert.
It's gotta be this year. Richard confirmed recording. We heard a song live last year called Second Coming Part II. Win said he can't wait for people to hear new material. I believe someone met Dan Boeckner from Wolf Parade, who confirmed the album is nearly done or completed months ago.
I'm excited to see what direction they go in. This is a band that I delve into all the details for; what will the cover look like? How many songs? How long? What are the song titles? The themes? The sounds and lyrics?
I've been relaxed about the prospect but since we hit a new year, I'm very much in pre-release hype mode for LP7, perhaps unjustifiably. Anyone else? Arcade Fire if you're reading this, give me a sign!
I was watching an episode of Corner Gas (animated) yesterday and was surprised to see Arcade Fire featured in season 3 episode 1 (Pink Flood). I hadn’t seen this mentioned here before.
Corner Gas was one of the most popular sitcoms in Canadian history. It ran from 2004-2009. It was then followed by a full length movie in 2014 and 4 seasons of an animated show that followed that.
For those that haven’t seen the show I would compare it to a rural Seinfeld.
