For fans of the band Vampire Weekend
1. No Hate Speech
This is a good community and we would like to keep the good vibes all around. Posting or commenting aggressive or insulting comments could be cause for a ban.
Basically - treat others kindly! If anyone has been harassing you, please message the mods and we will take the appropriate steps.
2. All posts must be related to the band or people acquainted with them.
This includes the core 4 and others like Ariel Rechtshaid, Jenny Lewis, etc
3. No Invasively Personal Conjecture or Paparazzi-Style Posts.
We allow the personal content that anyone in VW chooses to share publicly to the world. It's cool to personal information WHEN it's been announced, by him. What isn't cool is the tabloid gossip rag-stuff that was being posted. Likewise, if Ezra wants to come out about more details about his relationship with Rostam, in a Beats 1 interview, sure let's chat around that. But speculating crosses the line.
4. Self-promotion is fine, but only in comments, where relevant. Don't spam.
Feel free to showcase your art or covers but keep selling to the comments section.
5. All Works Need Credit Posted.
We take plagiarism very seriously and is a bannable offense.
Feel free to post another person's work but there needs to be credited to the original artist.
6. No Spam Posts.
We understand that you might see something that reminds you of VW out in the wilderness but if it doesn't directly relate to the band, please don't post it.
Please think before you post.
7. No Unofficially Released Material.
All music linked from the band must be official releases. This includes linking to other subreddits where you might be able to find it.
If the album or singles leak, we will make a spoiler thread but asking for a leak or sharing it here could be a bannable offense.
8. Purchase at Your Own Risk.
Exchanges and purchases of any good (tickets, merch, etc) or service is done at your own risk.
Mods are not at fault for anything that occurs or goes awry.
Be a savvy shopper and trust your gut!

ezra’s a gem for handing me the plectrum & bless up 2 their roadie who gave me the setlist post-gig too! what a night, im heeeere for more 2.5hr sets from VW
my friend and I got barrier and I swear this was thrown to me 🥹 apologies to Chris Baio and anyone who was near me to hear the "thank you" screech
Can’t say I was impressed with that Gold Rush skit tonight in Manchester. Good on the audience member for winning that cash but did that not drag on for ages? And the music was a bit naff? Play the hits, lads
I want to give away two free tickets to tomorrows show because I am too sick to go, but not sick enough to get a refund. I really don't want anything in return, I just don't want them to go to waste. Ideally you would go and not just sell them on somehow, so I'd love for them to go to someone active in this subreddit
I am not sure if there would be a great way to transfer them to whoever wants them, they are digital tickets from See Tickets. Screenshotting them and sending them is probably the best I can do!
I'm sorry if this is against the rules of the sub, I posted on the megathread too but I saw the rule was relaxed if it is 24h before the show? Either way, happy to take the post down / have it removed if it is a problem
hi all, i have a spare free ticket for tomorrow in manchester if anyone wants it!!
Always loved this song.
What other VW songs would be good GH jams
Hey, I guess I'm looking for a bit of reassurance / advice here from fellow parents / gig-goers: my son (11.5) and I are big VW fans and their latest album has massively resonated with him this year (his dad & I separated, it's been a tough one. This album is forever gonna remind us of this time). He sings their songs on the school run, knows all the lyrics, tries figuring out their tunes on the piano. So this is going to be his first ever gig and is excited.
But despite me having gone to many gigs in my old lifetime, I'm nervous and not really sure why. Maybe because gigs I used to go to pre-parenthoood were pretty rough and lairy... Which I don't expect this to be but at the same time I don't really know how to manage expectations in terms of crowdiness, waiting times etc. It'll be a school night (SHOCKING) and obvs we'll be in a seated area (only seated gig I went to was Echo And The Bunnymen in 2010 which felt weird tbh). I'm wondering how to manage his energy levels too - as much as I'd love to see the support acts, I'm not sure if he'll have the energy / patience? If doors are 6:30pm, would you suggest arriving at, say, 8ish? Any advice? Pack him with sugar and E numbers to keep him awake? (KIDDING. Kinda.) Any other parents taken kids to gigs, VW or otherwise & what's been your experience...?
A tribute to the legendary grunge Bambina which got a few runs during the US tour, and Manchester United’s truly miserable season so far. Hopefully see some of you at the shows! 😃
Hey. Anyone got any idea what time tonights extended set will start in Manchester or how long VW will play for?
Did anyone ever get a MSG double header tshirt? I emailed screenshots of my MSG tickets to vampire weekend when they told us to, but never heard back.
Hey vamps,, did you see the dancer guy on stage during one of the earlier songs? While grabbing a Murphys before the band came on I saw two interesting looking cats, one of them had a leopard print smoking jacket, then later on I swore I saw him on stage, gyrating like a podium dancer from a Prince video cira 1992. Did this happen?
Hey Vampire Weekend fans !
I've a made a pop playlist, specially about recent (2024-2023) music.
Add your favorite music from the last year !!!
Hello everyone! Wolverhampton is going to be my first ever vampire weekend concert after being a fan for soooooo many year 🫣😂
I’m traveling up from Wales and wondering if anyone knows of anything to do for the day in Wolverhampton or any decent food places? 🌟
I'm doing one night in Hammersmith and one night in Brixton. I'd love to see a pic of the current merch to see if it's worth visiting the merch stand or if I should just go straight to the barrier 😁
I think that's the best gig I've ever been to. Hold You Now as the opener, then the 3-piece doing campus and Blake before dropping the curtain to reveal the full 7 piece band. Thought the New Dorp performance was amazing even though I never really liked the Spotify version of the song.
The song requests near the end sorta took the steam out of the show but it was fun; the crowd was meh at times which is unfortunate as we Irish usually pride ourselves on being amazing fans... But it was still the best show I've seen to date and I've seen some good ones.
My only real complaint was that I didn't get to hear some of my favourite tunes - M79, Horchata, Diplomat's Son, Hannah Hunt... But that's the cost of having such a good discography I guess
If anyone is thinking about catching them on their Europe Tour, do it. They've put so much effort into bringing their sounds to the stage - the extended band members are unbelievable. The keyboard player on connect, the violin player on The Surfer, the Sax on Diane Young and Classical, and the percussion dude on several tracks... Exceeded my expectations by quite a bit, and I've seen them live once before
Hi, how early does one have to be to be in the front row for the EU tour? I never know depending on the band sometimes going at 6pm is enough to be front row and others you need to come at 10am. I've never been to a Vampire Weekend concert
Just saw on Ye Vagabonds social media that they opened for a VW show in Ireland. I love Ye Vagabonds, so if anyone has anything to share about their opening (any videos??), or any interactions between them and the band during the show, I would LOVE to know! Thanks!
Edited to clarify they opened for one show, not many-oops!
Anyone else think that was one of the worst crowds they have experienced at a gig? People complain about teenagers and twenty somethings on their phones the whole way through a show but thirty and forty somethings out for the chats after work are equally annoying.
Would love for for VW to play a couple of nights at The Olympia or Vicar Street the next time they come to Dublin. On a Monday night to keep the event junkies at bay.
I swear there's a video of VW playing "Connect" on either Kimmel or Fallon, I wanted to listen to it because I love the performance. However I can't find it for the life of me. Am I imagining things or just misremembering what show it was on?
Going solo to Thursday show, not really fussed as last minute cancellation and can now enjoy without worrying others having a good time.
Anyone else flying solo for it?
I'm seeing VW in Manchester for their extended set/'evening with', so assuming no support act, or maybe one rather than two.
Does anyone know what time that means they'll be on? I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a running time beforehand and i have to travel pretty far and grab dinner, and really don't want to miss any of the set!
