I have close Persian friends that have been kinder to me than my own family and I have started to worry. I wonder if this is something ppl are thinking about and if so do you have any plans of what you would do or how to prepare?
ETA: bearing in mind there are plans for denaturalizing citizens who came here legally as well.

I dont get why they dont let passengers stay on while trains bypass the station, which they've done since the reconfiguration this month.
Instead, despite how much i haul ass to try to catch the same train, i get left in the dust, and have to wait the awful off peak time wait with folks who squeeze past the excuses for fate gates without paying.

Hi Folks,
I think playing a sport every week would be a really good opportunity to make new friends and to stay healthy. Does anyone have any experience doing this in LA? I'd be seeking something very non-competitive, love of getting out there type environment. I've never played a sport before and I think it'd get me out of my comfort zone!
Any leads would be so sincerely appreciated!! Hope you're all having a great weekend.

Morning Becomes Eclectic was a significant part of my day for years now. KCRW is still a major part of my day, and that's why I continue to support the station.
However, I am absolutely baffled that the reins were given to Novena Carmel as now the sole host of the show. She sounds like a wonderful person to be friends with, hang with, -- In fact, I could imagine kicking it with her and having a great time.... but the level of experience and professionalism is just not there for such a venerable position of hosting the top spot.
The hammed up radio delivery is incongruent with public/independent radio and just feels (yes this is a subjective "feeling" and sounds forced and inauthentic.
The reading straight from PR releases or wikipedia entries in an attempt to provide information about artists, or connect dots between artists is uninspiring.
I actually like most of the music and learn of new artists from time to time, but it's hard to get past what sounds like college radio hosting to me. Before anybody wants to sound the sexist alarm, (Anne Litt is incredible) or any other "is it because she's ...." ? I could name 5 other current or former DJ's that would be better IMHO. Tyler boogie B., losing Aaron Byrd, huge loss!, Sylvan, Travis, I miss Anthony too. Jason was on point. Etc.
Anybody with me? Would a petition do anything here? Sorry Novena... it ain't personal. I miss MBE.
