My partner and I are getting married in a simple yet big event in East La. We are looking for a photographer who captures moments, candid, portraits of loved ones… nothing cheesy. I also love the look of film. We are tight on budget. Any suggestions?
I don't see rules for this sub so let me know if this is against them.
I'm an up and coming NYC based photographer and I'll be in LA visiting friends around thanksgiving. I was wondering if anyone here knew of any events/meetups happening around then or general photography must sees.
I'd also be interested in meeting up with any models looking to build out their portfolios for a portrait shoot. It doesn't seem like I can add images to a text post so I'll just link to my website:

BUNGALOW DESIRES
They didn't talk much; in fact, half a day would pass before either of them heard a word or two from each other. Usually nouns or adjectives such as Coffee? Or Hungry? They got together out of boredom and many defaults. It's her body he liked. Slim but with the right amount of padding located on parts of her body which lit a fire under him. Whenever he reached his fill with her, he always had a strong desire to leave far away, sometimes taking a coach to the colder states of America. But being a person with strong indecisions, he always returned to the nest. Different desires always brought him back to Los Angeles where he would repeat the same acts. Is it the Bungalow that brought him back? Or was it the possibility of re-encountering the extra padding located inside her thighs?

Anyone have recommendations for urban photoshoot locations with the following things nearby Silverlake, Echo Park, Hollywood, Downtown, or WeHo?
I can just drive around those areas tomorrow but I’d rather not waste the little time we have and already have a street/area already in mind!
I'm (29M) a portrait photographer currently on holiday and will be in LA on Saturday (08/17), and I'm looking to collaborate with people in the Bay Area to build up my portfolio.
Since this is purely for creative purposes, I won’t be able to pay you, but in exchange, you'll get a free professional photoshoot, and you can use the photos as you please. I'll share the edited photos with you after the shoot.
To ensure safety for both of us (this is Reddit, after all) I can share my ID on DM and we can set up a video call before the shoot. If it makes you more comfortable, you're welcome to bring a friend along as well.
If you or anyone you know is interested, please DM me. I’m available for the shoot for 2 - 3 hours on Saturday.

NO PUNKS "I'm from Chicago, born there in '51. But I consider myself a Bay area man. I lived in East Oakland for most of my life. I hate to say this but my mother was a bank robber. I remember moving around a whole lot as a kid. It was rough, she was very strict and was straight-faced most of the time. Meanwhile, my father, Frank worked for RCA as Janitor for many years and lived a simple life in Portland. He was a good man. When I was a kid, I played in front of the house by myself. I used to imagine good things and I wondered why it was that the things I imagined couldn't become real. That fucked with me. I also liked dancing but if I didn't bring a C average on my report cards, there was no chance of me spinning to any tunes. So I never blew it! It's true! James Brown, The Temptations and The Platters were big inspirations to me. I learned how to dance by watching them on TV. At 17, I took off on my own. I figured I had to start learning how to live in the real world. At 19, I joined the Airforce. I was placed in the field maintenance department during Vietnam. I was in charge of receiving and refolding parachutes after missions. I folded all types of chutes. Personal chutes, Drogue chutes, and Ejection seat chutes. I used to imagine what it was like for the troops as they glided down to the carnage. There was a lot of blood, that's all I know. It was scary. After completing four years, I took off. I went back to school and took Business courses and enrolled myself in Karate. The problem with me was that I've always surrounded myself with punks and lowlifes. It's because of that, that I lost my HUD-VASH benefits. I'm working on recovering my benefits. I'm a good mechanic and I'd like to land a job as one but sometimes the cops are bustin' me for silly things like jaywalking and panhandling. It's silly! I think LA is cool but you can get killed out here. Tell the people who are going to read this to stay away from punk asses. They're no good. Do something with yo' life and be thankful." * Robert Sarpy was resting with a smoke on Broadway while contemplating some things. #angelenoheart
