Hey all,
I'm in town with my company for fire relief and I'm staying in Pasadena. I was looking at anything walking distance from downtown but came up empty. If I'm going to drive 20 minutes, are there any can't-miss spots? I have a broad palette, so I imagine I'll find something wherever I go. Bonus if they have a legit restaurant, but a food truck would do.
It's great to see numerous breweries and taprooms doing things to support fire victims and relief efforts. Can sales proceeds, tap sales proceeds, discounts for donations, beers/food for victims and first responders... looks like lots of breweries signed on to brew a relief beer (similar to the Hawaii one).
It's nice to be able to drink for a good cause.
I'll be traveling out to the Burbank and Anaheim areas with my family in the coming month. I was hoping to get some monkish one of the evenings, without having to drag my family to a brewery. Are there any restaurants that would commonly carry it on tap, or have a good lineup of local brews but also be family friendly. Kids are 13 and 15.
Whats your opinion who has the better food options between the two?
My favorite beer for a few years now has been Pilsner Urquell, but I would like to support our breweries by finding a local option. Looking for a take-home option. Thanks!
Short of a "holiday miracle," they say they have a month or two left. They are my favorite brewery. I'd be so sad to see them go.

Long enjoyed walkable brewery crawls like DTLA (though now greatly diminished); Hawthorne and Chinatown need little mention although I feel like you need a third walkable brewery to make it a cluster. If you're willing to include craft brew taprooms you can make things happen in Pasadena and plenty of other spots. Oh yeah, Anaheim. I hate driving to Anaheim but there's two clusters of walkable breweries there, maybe just to make up for having to drive to Anaheim.
What are your favorite brewery clusters, feel free to cheat with small drives/tap rooms/etc. ???

We just added a couple of cases of Live Animals to our cooler at Risky Business, on the border between Burbank and North Hollywood, and it is really beautiful! Labeled a "West Coast Pilsner", Live Animals is crisp, floral, and VERY easy to drink. More to come...
Hi Gang, Please let me know if your local breweries have any special seasonal beers on tap. The weirder the better. Cheers
Hello gang,
I'd like to invite a German friend to an Oktoberfest-like event in the metro area. Since we all know they won't do the real thing justice, we'd like to check it out the worst ones to at least get a good kick out of it. Any recommendations?
Danke ;)
Anyone seeing much in the way of fresh hop can releases yet? I’ve seen a decent amount of tap options but so far the only cans I’ve seen were Kern River Wet Exit at Handy Market.
Anaheim’s Firkenstein Craft Beer Festival is back with 20+ local breweries and event-exclusive beers!
All proceeds benefit the Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade, a local nonprofit which is entirely led by local volunteers! (Link to tickets in the comments)
No experience but if I go to a party how many is less than a “normal amount”

Is there anywhere else in LA to get cider of this quality? I know of Honest Abe, but don't like them nearly as much.
Prices are on the shelf
Hi All! I live in MN and am staying in DTLA from June 20-24. Im looking for the MUST TRY BEERS (and breweries). I work in industry, so fairly open to all styles, but IPAs are my least favorite style. Top choices are hefes, farmhouses, sours, barleywine, and stouts. Close to downtown preferred, or groups of multiple breweries.
(as an added bonus, if anyone knows where I can snag any Ube flavored beer... I'd be extremely appreciativr)
