I have encountered this bug several times while playing on Valve Premier servers, as can be seen here and here. So I've decided to dig further.

What the bug is: If a player is killed mid-jump, a landing sound will play at their expected landing position, regardless of where the ragdoll ends up. Ragdolls have their own distinct falling sounds, so this behavior is unintended. This however doesn't happen consistently, and I was unsuccessful at reproducing the bug 100% of the time.

Details

• The sound plays only if a player was mid-jump when killed

• Can happen on Valve servers

• The sound is server-sided, appears in demos.

• Happens on flat surfaces and uneven terrain.

• The sound is emitted from where the player was expected to land (EXAMPLE)

I hope this information is sufficient for Valve to look into and find a fix. If anybody manages to find a consistent reproduction method, do make sure to share.

I understand that it helps with HUD visibility but I don't really care and I think it looks weird.

Hi all! Hopefully this post isn't too long, but I'm looking for some help with understanding the upcoming CS Major in Austin.

I'm planning to purchase tickets for myself and my husband to go to this major. He is LONG time CS fan- playing almost daily, following every game online, buying all the merch...you get the idea. This is something I've wanted to do for him for a while and now the major is finally back in the U.S. and we have the financial means to do so.

I've gotten some basic info from this page: https://blast.tv/cs/news/blasttv-austin-major-ticketing-info , yet I'm still not super clear on a few things:

1. What is a "standard 4-day package"? Is this just 4 days worth of tickets to watch the games?

2. The major is happening June 6th-June 22nd. Will we get to pick which 4 days we go?

3. Any useful information you can advise as a newbie, planning this sort of trip for the first time. All advice welcomed!!

MongolZ qualified for Katowice first time in 2016 where they went 0-6 group stage. Back then their now coach MaaRaa was still the brains behind the team.

The amount that people are complaining in my games about the new train blows my mind. Every time this game goes without an update for two weeks, people act as is Valve personally chain-sawed their childhood pet in half. But when they do update the game, its considered awful, and that the game should of stayed exactly how it was. So what is it? Do we want updates or not?

Nuke is by far the blackest sheep in the history of CS maps, but its also awesome! It feels completely different from all the other maps, and is by far my favorite map. But had it been released today? It would be completely ignored because of how different it is. CS players really need to set aside there egos, and understand that when the game or maps change, you might lose a couple games due to stuff you didn't know about yet. Oh well. Learn the map, and do better.

Another example: People complain about T's running through CT mollies ALL THE TIME. Oh no! I'm sure the T's disrespecting your molly was a surprise. Y'know that change has only been out for 9 MONTHS. I wouldn't of expected you to adapt that quickly.

We pride CS on being a game were skills are supreme, and the better team is the one who will win. Yeah sometimes you have unlucky games, but if you take the time to learn and adapt to new things, you can re-gain the edge over your opponents.

The community wants the game to change until it does. And if we want better communication from Valve, we have to be the ones to fix that. They can't un-stubborn their whole community.

I have a low end laptop and can’t afford anything better it gives me lag issues and sometimes crashes what settings should I use ?

What i cant comprehend is the premier elo system I played a bunch with a friend I was constantly out fragging him I have a higher win ratio He go assign 6.6k rating i got 3.5k And then i would go on a win streak and some how my win elo gain would go down with every win. Finally get to 4,999 for that rank up game On nuke We were down on rounds, a team mate rage quits Playing T we claw back from 10-7 disadvantage to 12-12 Then loose OT misreably Again 4 v 5 Their bottom frag 4999 gets promoted and i obviously loose full elo I have very little motivation to keep trying in premier. Any reason i missing why the win elo reward would go down on a win streak? We won a game share i went 37-19, ot game 16-12 win, with an ace in it My win gain for the next match was 100 less than for that one I was a LE 10 years ago and just getting back into it, i know I'm way of my old game but im frustrated with this ranking system

I have roughly 200 hours on CS (mostly from CSGO) and I'm starting to get back into it after about a year of not really playing. I haven't played any FPS games since I last played, and I'm very rusty, but I'm slowly but surely getting back to where I was.

I recently was given some Steam credits, and since I'm not in the need of a new game, I was looking into purchasing Prime. I've heard from people you pretty much make your money back in a few weeks, and I'm also looking to get into skins and cases.

Should I buy it?

Yes I know that OLED monitors are highly expensive but I think they will be prefered instead of other panels.

Friend has gotten his rank for this season and is currently at 19k (so he is -5k from "redistribution"). I have only played like 5-6 games total (3 wins) so I am currently unranked. Yet, when we try to queue together, our ranks are too far apart?

I saw in some other post that ranks worked up to 10k difference, so either I'm 30k unranked (+9k redistributed) or 10k unranked (-11k redistributed) which either one is entirely rediculous. There's actually just no way this is intentional.

Hello. It doesn’t work like in Dota on F6, everything is downloaded and included (workshoptools + development + insecure + invelop + csgo running as admin). On the DVC says it was disabled, but the topic tag is Dota. Maybe in the workshop you need to click something, to make story short, if you know, please tell me.
