i have a 4070 and its capable of running this game at around 300-400 fps but for the most part it sits around 300... or at least it used to???? for some reason my game recently started randomly dropping to extremely low fps for a few seconds before going back up in the middle of games, i tried reinstalling and it still does this. my friend turned off a setting and that somehow fixed his game but I didn't have the setting on in the first place and none of the settings have been able to fix it. My friend tells me it's probably a network issue and not something on my end but most of my friends aren't having this issue and I don't know what to do anymore. does anyone know any way to fix this issue?
I think I’ve had it with premier, I just can’t seem to get a good stack or when I wanna play no one takes it’s seriously, like why turn on a comp game if you are with losing? The past 2 games I play I went 30 plus while the bottom frag went 6-20, let me say that again 6-20. I get we all have bad games but fuck man.
Can somebody explain me why if i have my game in fullscreen with a stretched res in a 2k monitor, my sens is going higher than if i play in borderless? All of this is with the same res in both modes and with mouse acceleration off
Hey, I’m looking to buy some skins!
I currently own Snow Leopard gloves and a Talon Doppler Phase 2, and I’m searching for skins that would match well with them. I care the most about the weapons I use frequently, which are:
My budget is around $250. Any suggestions?
How is it possible that FACEIT does not detect such obvious smurfs and they can play without any problems?
https://www.faceit.com/pl/players/SEN1KK
https://steamcommunity.com/id/davidsenicic
Are there any settings that can be changed, optimized, or otherwise adjusted to improve hit reg/subtick? How about a style of play? 3rd party hardware?
Looks kinda nice but idk if it's worth much, any skin connisours mind lending a helping hand?
Had some balance in steam and wanted to try out buying cases for the first time, this was the second one I opened and I got this. I can't see the exact value since it's trade locked but online i'm seeing prices of around 200-400, so I was wondering what an accurate estimate would be.
In my inventory i got a 0.998 Negev Wall bang from armory, and a 0.005 Mp5 Necro Jr from dreams and nightmare case. I saw that i can sell both for less than 50c total. So i wonder if they are worth anything more than that because i know they can be put in a trade up as fillers. If they are worth more how much is it?
am i the only one who thinks freezetime of 20 seconds each round is too much?
So ever since CS2 dropped I've noticed it just didn't look smooth, looks like frames are 'missing' or some shit. It's hard to explain, but it looks like low refresh rate, even though mine's set to 240 (says 239 in the menu idk if that's normal). It makes tracking enemies REALLY hard because it's like tracking a robot chicken stop motion character, it feels like a pronounced ghosting effect where it's like, I'm tracking the guy, right, but he's not there, in that frame, or the frame isn't there, and all the sudden he's on the next frame, can't keep up, the frames don't line up. Sounds insane because it's kind of subtle but not really, it's pissing me off that's for sure. I play on a benq 240hz monitor and I've tried a bunch of different shit, everything I could think of, or find online, no dice. Can't figure it out, but I've seen others saying the same thing.
Now my next problem is the mouse input; it feels horrible. I can't figure it out. It feels slippery, floaty, like I just can't keep the damn thing still. My flicks lack any sort of consistency, and my tracking is limp and floppy. CSGO feels perfect, crisp, stable. Tracking angles is smooth. No idea what's going on. I hesitate to say input delay because who the hell knows what it is, I just know it isn't right. Between this and the missing frames, hitting a moving target is HAARD. No other game is like this, just CS2. It's not a fps issue, I've always played both games locked at 240fps in the driver. Tried uncapping CS2 and it didn't help at all, CSGO at 240fps feels worlds better than CS2 at ~400. I use a lamzu atlantis mini 4k, switching to my xm1r or g-pro wireless didn't help at all. I've scoured the internet for a whole year trying to figure this out but got nowhere. Tried everything. I'm a tech savvy guy when I say I tried everything I really mean it.
For the record, I'm on windows 11 insider preview (dev branch), RTX 3070, i7 11700k, gigabyte z590 aorus elite motherboard, benq xl2546k monitor.
I'm still unsure if it's a universal problem and only some people notice it, or if it really does only affect some people and not others. But it seems like the latter, because people have no problem hitting me. Meanwhile my aim rating went from 85 in csgo to around 60 in cs2, and that isn't just a game diff, I've been grinding since the limited test, would've gotten used to it by now. I have about 2k hrs in aim trainers so I'm very sensitive to this mouse input stuff. And in CS2 the mouse input feels very, very screwed.
Anyone else?
EDIT: I've recorded some video that I hope captures what I'm seeing. One for CS2 and one for CSGO to compare:
CSGO: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OMtGuRgTvFdWnw_vSFX5jbdY4mEHCpQQ/view?usp=sharing
CS2: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yO3m70mRoGn-p1LIHSl9S-sruplFuR_A/view?usp=sharing
You should be able to download the raw video files because the online view has compression on it.
Notice how in the CS2 example the edges of objects and players seems to phase across the screen way more than in the CSGO example. Also note how smooth my tracking is in the CSGO clip, it's impossible for me to do that in CS2. And this is while CSGO was capped at 240fps while CS2 was uncapped at ~350-400fps, which you can see.
I was looking at cs2 music kits and I kinda don't understand why some music kits show MVP Anthem and some don't for example https://stash.clash.gg/music/78/The-Devil-Went-Clubbing-in-Georgia-Austin-Wintory This music kit doesn't have an MVP Anthem? So if you win for example a death match will your music kit still play an MVP Anthem or no?
While for example under bright lights has an MVP Anthem and I already know what it shows will play for sure. For example you win a death match game on cs2 you will get the MVP Anthem that shows below. https://stash.clash.gg/music/74/Under-Bright-Lights-TWERL-and-Ekko-&-Sidetrack
Which leads to a bit of confusion. If an music kit that you buy doesn't show "MVP Anthem" on this site will it still play any part of the song in the music kit you bought?.. or how does that work? For example while clubbing in Georgia doesn't have a specified mvp Anthem will it just play a random part of the song for when you win in terms of being MVP in DeathMatch? (Example)
I’ve been 2 weeks without playing CS. I realized I was extremely addicted to the game, and it was bringing many negative consequences, such as poor performance at work and in my studies. So, I decided it was time to stop.
In total, I must have around 10,000 hours of CS. During holidays or weekends, I would play 14 to 16 hours a day, neglecting my studies to stay in the game.
For the past 3 days, I’ve been feeling a lot of anxiety and even shortness of breath. I imagine it’s because I’ve stopped playing. Despite that, I don’t want to go back. I’ve already improved at work and am managing to study more, but I need help to figure out if this anxiety will pass or if I should seek a professional to help me.
It’s been really hard, especially on days like today, Saturday, when I would usually spend the entire day playing—from morning until late at night. On the other hand, I managed to get back to practicing my favorite hobby, which is working out.
What bothers me the most, however, is this anxiety and shortness of breath. It’s terrible. I know I can excel at work and achieve great things in my professional life. I just need to forget the game and dedicate the same amount of time to changing my life.
If I try to play "just a little," I know I’ll end up spending hours and hours on it. I can’t control myself.
I’m not and never have been a professional, but I’ve played some online tournaments. I’m level 10 on Faceit. With so much time spent playing, it’s hard not to be at the high level. And at this level, it’s practically impossible to have fun.
It’s tough.
Out of 8 matches in MM i havent encountered a single cheater. One person was staring at people through smokes and shooting when it fades to not look suspicious and felt like they were too aware of everyone a position even without info so its only possibly a wh user or something which is surprising! Back when i played csgo every third match someone would ragehack and now its almost like valorant just people playing normally.
guys, do you know if the Shanghai Major ticket is removed immediately after the tournament ends, or is it discounted and sold, or does it remain in place without being discounted? I am thinking of buying it extra.
I'm wondering if anyone knows valuations for this emerald semi-precious charm?
Hey guys,
I’ve been playing Counter Strike since 2015 and while I still play from time to time, I’m struggling to find a hobby (not video games) that’s similar to the fun and enjoyment you get from a tactical shooter like CS. I especially like the gun play. I can play warmup and 1v1 servers for hours on end.
My question is this. Is there a hobby that’s similar enough to Counter Strike in terms of its gun play mechanics (like I guess darts or something lol) and its strategic component? Thanks!
Basically what the title says. I have a small amount of experience with tac shooters like Valorant, but I was never that great. I like the gunplay and overall speed of cs (at least from a spectator's POV) so I thought I'd give CS a try. I've heard this game is a good bit harder than Valo so I would appreciate advice on this to improve and how to get better.
DONKEY
I am so dissapointed
Hello everyone, for those discovering the site, I’m a small developer and a long-time fan of CS skins. I decided to create some small online games around them.
There’s already "Guess the Higher" and "Guess the Skin."
I’ve added a new game to my site: Wordle adapted for CS2 skins, with multiple criteria like category, weapon, collection, wear, rarity, and price!
You don’t have to log in with Steam to play if you don’t want to. Logging in is only used to have a rank on the site.
