Feedback about the improved mechanic of mollies + smoke extinguish
In the Armory update (Official Patchnote 10/02/2024), the way that smoke grenades extinguishes fire grenades have been greatly improved (it happens more reliably and faster), but with that improvement, I noticed another "issue/effect" from the smoke grenades.
In the case of saving yourself from an enemy fire grenade, it is pretty much flawless and the new behaviour is great.
But in the case of a team (T) rushing (for example banana on inferno, B tunnel on Dust2, etc...), the speed at which the smoke pops with its current opacity feel overpowered for the defending side, and counter productive to use as a keep rushing strat; Since all the team gets fully blinded instantly to run into a "meat grinder" they won't be able to see (and then react) until it's too late..
Which leads me to wonder if the smokes should either pop slower (which I believed used to be the case at an earlier state of the game), or at least have some kind of opacity fadein instead of it being instantly fully opaque.
This problem can also apply to all smokes in general, since it feels overpowered at the moment in my opinion.
I consider theses smoke grenades unbalanced as much for Ts to take over a site than for CTs to retake the very same site, and in a pug setup, it also incentives players to play more passive than to actually attempt to teamplay with each others which, to me is a big minus.
Whatever your side is on the question, I wanted to hear people's opinion on that matter !

Appy.foo Alpha: Real-Time Esports Companion App with Stats, Tools, and Fun Features! (Side Project)
Hello redditors!
We are a group of friends, with experience in game dev, app development, and esports, who decided to create something new as our side-job project. We found out that, while there are a lot of awesome tools to use either before or after the match, there isn’t much to help during the game. That’s why we started creating Appy.foo.
Appy.foo is a companion application for esports games, which provides real-time statistics, mini-apps, and tools designed to give you a competitive edge or simply have more fun in the game. For the first iteration, we created a simplified stats app for Counter Strike 2 (we are CS players, so at first we wanted to create something that we would use), a bomb timer (a widget that tells you if you can defuse the bomb) and a weekly-summary tab. We also have a pixel art chicken that will compliment you on your aces.
Very important note - Appy.foo is now in the early alpha phase. This is not an invitation to a ready product, but a callout to all of you who enjoy seeing how apps evolve from day one We are aware of the existence of some bugs that we are still finding and fixing. Also, the designs are about to change. We would be pleased for any feedback about the app.
In the upcoming weeks, we plan to create similar apps for other games - League of Legends, Fortnite, Dota 2, Valorant, and many more. Also, our plans include creating a mobile version of the app, so all players, who don’t have a second screen, could use the application.

Way larger community but the servers are gone, how could this happen?
Who else remembers ba_jail surf deathrun bhop gungame minigames zombie mode/escape/riot hns how could all of these popular gamemodes simply disappear? We have 20 times more players but these gamemodes are gone? We deserve an in game server browser with good servers like we had in CS:Source the problem is that it wouldnt bring any revenue to Valve so i doubt they even consider it. Counter Strike is more than competitive and farming skins we need to run it back.

Game Crashes and How to (Attempt) to Fix Them
A lot of people haven't been able to join any games since the last game update, and many more experience frequent crashes attempting the same. The verdict is the same, the game client just refuses to connect you to the selected match and exits.
I've been able to isolate the issue. Underlying Steam is crashing your CS2 client via Overlay integration. The solution is to disable Steam Overlay, until they patch Steam, CS2 or both, at least.
It is the simplest of fixes, all you have to do is to click on the cogwheel icon ("Manage"), select "Properties" and turn off the very first option of the very first tab (General -> Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game). It will let you join games again.

Many or even most of the people say that it’s not worth it at all because you pay 15€ and get only shit while you could just buy skins from that money
I only saw 2,3 guys that said that it’s worth it but maybe they just had luck? I know valve and I know the % of the drops so I would assume it’s the same scam as always but I wanted to hear the experiences of the community
So what would you say, worth it or not?
(I won’t buy it anyways because I don’t support it I’m just curious)

Make a graphics option that makes the game look like cs:go (or somewhat like it)
