I have been looking at different company offering a server to rent, what is your favorite one?

My location is in Europe and I'm planning to load my own-made maps.

Just a little nostalgia moment. i started playing DOD again about 1 year ago. i'm not really a big gamer anymore so it's pretty much the only game i still play and i particularly like the 1st marine raider server but at the time Strand was really my favorite map and it really doesn't seem to be popular anymore.I wonder a little why?

Is there a map that you find under appreciated or that has almost disappeared?

Ever since the half life HD patch I have no crosshairs when I go prone which makes going machine gun a little hard, additionally the sniper zoom no longer fits my screen. I was told a fix a while ago on a server however I can't for the life of me remember what it was! I know it was a simple one.

Hi there I've been working on a mod to improve sound effects of Day of Defeat as well as a script that reflects sounds and also you several variant gunshots as you go away from sound source.

This mod also adds and replaces over 200 audio files in game with purpose of increasing combat immersion.

It'll be around 8 players and we'll play via LAN all together to reminisce about the old days. Do I need to create a steam account for each person and buy a copy for each Steam account? If yes, which is the least expensive way to do this?

I would love to play dod a bit more, is there any community or matchmaking tool?

Does anyone remember the victory song for the Allies on the dod_walmart_final. I have a deep nostalgic memory of the victory songs on that map, Wehrmacht being Ramstein. I can just never remember the Allies song. Just know it says "it's 3 am! ". Nostalgicly Ill also never forget the old robotic '5 minutes remaining" sound as well.

Capture the flag with custom sounds and skins. Allies are humans and axis are zombies. Bots 24/7 with random people joining throughout the day.

Hey all, I’ve recently been getting back into the DOD:S multiplayer action.

However, I’ve been noticing a fair bit of lag on hitboxes etc.

Is there any recommended netcode config settings for DOD:S?
