The Source Filmmaker (SFM) is the movie-making tool built and used by Valve to make movies inside the Source game engine. Because the SFM uses the same assets as the game, anything that exists in the game can be used in the movie, and vice versa. By utilizing the hardware rendering power of a modern gaming PC, the SFM allows storytellers to work in a what-you-see-is-what-you-get environment so they can iterate in the context of what it will feel like for the final audience.

So I had just got back into s2fm since sfm but I took a short break during Thanksgiving. However now that I’m back I cannot find the same assets I was able to before. I am no longer able to import player models or weapons when before I could browse the folder and locate them. Also, I cannot get to the folder browser anymore either. Am I supposed to be doing this in the modeldoc editor? If anyone knows what I am talking about please help 🙏🏼
I have seen several posts on this issue, however, they recommend checking if the program runs NVIDIA. The issue is i have an AMD card. I have checked and launched sfm via the AMD controller specifically yet the issue persists. Is there a solution? This is a fresh install, no workshop mods, no pausing the installation.
since im really impatient and bad at blender I've been wanting to port over all the already rigged mouthwashing models to sfm, is there any quick way to do that?
so my pc broke and i ended up getting sfm on my lenovo school laptop. But you know how there is that thing where you override mods that clash or smth. but that should only happen when i get new mods, now it makes me click accept all like 35 times whenever i open it. PLEASE HELP
(FIXED) Hey guys, new to sfm. Was wondering how I could make demo knight? I can't find his shields or eyelander when searching for models. Could someone help?
I remember them using various aliens and Xen fauna from the Half-Life games as stand ins for the aliens seen in the movie. I also remember the creator using assets from Dead Center for the sequence set in a mall. And the HEV suit was used as the hazmat suits seen throughout the film.
I’ve been searching for this for years. Has anybody seen it?

It has been a pain for almost a week to make the port but it's finally done, some parts are still cuarky but it should work just fine...
