Let's goooooo, finally got a game in ATL where I can take my father to his first football game! He's a life long Steelers fan! Let me go buy us two solid tickets!

Oh no.. wait.. ALL of the tickets are resale tickets... for more than what tickets normally go for in that stadium!

This is my current situation. We FINALLY get a game I can take my dad to, and all the tickets have been swooped up by resellers. In your experience, is it better to try to wait them out? Or should I just take the loss and buy now so I can guarantee we make it to the game?

Saw a YouTube video comparing the 2008 Steelers defense to those of the 1970’s. It had me thinking, what 2008 Steelers have a chance at the hall of fame? Below was my final conjecture. All starters / primary role players.

Polamalu (SS) - In HOF

Harrison (OLB) - Not yet in hall; possible he gets in eventually

Woodley (OLB) - No. Career/prime too short

Clark (FS) - No, but was very underrated and much better than most realize

Taylor (CB) - No. Ike was “solid” but that’s about it

Townsend (CB) - No…lol. Deshea was a great Steeler. Not a spectacular football player

McFadden (CB) - No. Was solid, not great

W. Gay (CB) - Big Play Willy Gay is unfortunately not a hall of famer

Timmons (LB) - No, but also much better than most realize.

Farrior (LB) - No. I would say hall of “very good”

A. Smith (DE) - Most likely will not get in but is absolutely a Hall of Famer and it’s not close IMO. One of the most underrated careers ever. Possibly could be admitted by veterans committee

Hampton (NT) - No, but did have 2-3 very dominant seasons. Also hall of “very good”

Hoke (DT) - Hokey Pokey is not a hall of famer

Keisel (DE) - No. Also “hall of very good”

Foote (LB) - Lol no but I was always a Larry fan

Kirschke (DE) - No. Was very average.

Final numbers:

In Hall - Polamalu

Should be in hall - Harrison, A. Smith

Best of the rest - Clark, Timmons, Farrior, Keisel

Every year I go to a game with my wife and mother. In the past few years there have been a great confluence of family/friends in the chosen city/cheap tickets/proximity to home that has made the decision easy. The schedule this year does not have an overwhelming winner. We live in the Northeast. We are looking at Weeks 1,3,10, and 11 as possibilities. We are looking for opinions/advice about stadiums, cities, chance of winning the game, and good weather (mom is not super old, but I do not want to force her to stick it out in horrible conditions.) We are of course going to the Superbowl this year and I can't wait for the season to start. Here we go!

My buddy and I are two life long Steelers fans that have never been to a game in Pittsburgh. I booked a room at the Comfort Inn and Suites Northshore and I'm wondering if this is a good spot? We're planning on getting in town around noon ahead of a primetime game. Def will wanna hit some food and bars ahead of the game. Are there any on the way / is it walkable?

Hey guys, at what point do the tickets start getting cheaper? I’m coming from UK in December for my 30th to the Browns game and need 3x tickets, but contemplating whether to get tickets now or wait for them to come down if they do?

I was actually Born in Pittsburgh and making my first trip back (ended up growing up in NEPA) the weekend of the chargers game (Catching Aerosmiths first show of the tour on the 20th as well)

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me, should I wait on buying tickets for this game/are the chargers an exciting matchup? Would like pretty decent seats, also wondering what price would be expected to pay?

I'm not all too familiar with football tickets but prices right now look a bit high, if they aren't going to get any better ill pull the trigger but $500 seems like quite a bit.

I think we should get 10-11 wins. I don’t believe in Deshaun, Lamar is not the passer they thought and either him or Henry might have a significant injury this year, and Burrows chemistry has a high likelyhood to being off given the locker room issues and time he missed (he also has had significant injuries to THREE different parts of his body). I think we will go 4-2 or at least 3-3 this year in the division. I think this will be Russell Wilson’s last good year. Najee will have a career year if healthy and we will be the best rushing attack in the league by around week 8. So many people think we’re gonna be the bottom feeder of our division and I don’t think they quite understand how well built this team is. Back to back A graded drafts will begin to take form especially with the phenomenal contract moves made by Kahn. Now the question is, was I being biased with this take? Yes but I I wanna hear from yall.

I’m going to fulfill a couple of lifelong wishes by taking my family and extended family to a home game this year. I didn’t realize it would cost $3,500+ all-in for 7 seats in the 500s section. Is there a better place than Vivid or Seat Geeks to get 7 seats next to each other? I thought about just waiting till game day, but that’s a heck of risk… Splitting up the seats would only work if we sit in front/back of each other. Would love yinz thoughts… Thank you in advance!

First off Tomlins streak will not end. Fact Last year went 5-1 against our division. Fact.

I hear all the excuses of if burrow was healthy that would have been different.

Everyone in your division got better. Russ can’t win at an elite level anymore.

Predictions: 11-6 and 4-2 in the divisional games. I believe we enter the bye 6-2. Russ throws for over 3500 years with at least 20 TDs. Naj and Jaylen have at least 3000 yards combined. I think we get a playoff spot. I think we win a playoff game. Then who knows I always like tomlin against offensive minded head coaches. I do think we will end up playing KC twice this year.

I am a Canadian Ravens fan (hate understandable); however, my Dad is a Steelers fan. Realistically based on geography we should both be lions fans but in Canada you generally just pick the team you like during your formative years.

As he’s getting older (65) and has never seen a game live and I finally have some savings - I’m going to take him this year.

I was just wondering if there is any recommendations or resources in regard to sections to avoid or alternatively great sections to sit in. I just want to ensure he’ll be able to see the game, and probably can’t stand on his feet a lot. We’ll most likely be in the 500s based on price. Bonus points if we’re under some kind of overhang to mitigate any rainy weather (but not needed). I’ve done a fair bit of research about local things we can do, but will also accept any other helpful suggestions to make this a great memory for him.
