I am going to two events on a tight schedule. If I am a few minutes late to the event, will I be denied entry? The website was very vague in answering the question.
So me and my friend are coming to watch Serbia - USA mainly, but because we are staying for 7 days, we would like to see other things. One other thing that we want to see is Novak Djokovic and other is maybe athletics, but besides that we have no idea what else can be exciting for causals, any tips?
Hi all. I know it's a long shot but I'm really hoping someone might have snippets, footage, clippings or anything from the 92 Olympics of team RSA's men's 8 rowing team? Any help is greatly appreciated :)
Not sure if they are actually selling these seats, hopefully not.
Does anyone know where NBC will have its broadcasting headquarters? My wife really wants to see the Today Show. Would it possibly be Le Palais des Congrès de Paris? I read that would be a media center.
To prevent this subreddit from becoming inundated with standalone ticket and logistics posts, please keep all discussion about tickets and attendance logistics within this post. Standalone posts will no longer be allowed.
Be skeptical when interacting with other users trying to sell or buy tickets. We do not sanction ticket swaps, buying, selling in this subreddit as we have no way of verifying the legitimacy of these transactions. This also applies to selling lodging, airfare, etc., which is not allowed here.
The official Olympics ticket website is located here.
The official Olympics ticket resale platform is located here.
Centralising everything on one site instead of allocating x amount of tickets to each country to sell has been so much easier to understand.
Good idea to hold back tickets in each of the 3 initial phases too, if you are at work/asleep one day then you are not punished for missing out.
The tickets you don't want in the make my games packs are available to sell separately.
Resale that is working great. Bought a ticket on it and sold 2. Absolutely brilliant that it is face value. Works both ways for the buyers and the sellers. A tiny percent commission is so much better than what the likes of StubHub would be. Screw the scalpers.
Congratulations Paris.
Hi all. Please delete if not allowed. My new podcast Fantasy Five Rings has just released it's first episode. Each features a guest picking how they would like their own Olympic Games to go, although this first episode is more a preview featuring all the upcoming guests as they describe their ideal Opening Ceremony. Feel free to give it a listen if you're bored.
Edit - also feature comments from my recent question on this sub "what would be your ideal Opening Ceremony"
So a country like San Marino’s metric gets weird because a country like China or America would have to win more medals then even exist at the Olympic Games to match the ratio.
If you combine all medals and every year, San Marino’s ratio drops to like .1 medals per certain number of people or something.
The flaws I see with this one are some countries are newer than other, some didn’t participate in every Olympic Games and such, problems like the Soviet Union dissolving. But it could be a better metric still.
What are some co-branded lines or brands owned by Olympic athletes (current or former)?
For example, Saysh by Allyson Felix.
In Ireland they get 40000 euro annually
Paralympic star Ellie Simmonds opened up about a coach in a podcast interview this week.
“I thought I was good at swimming. When you’re told you’re not good enough, it definitely affects your confidence.”
