Who is a fighter you love who hasn't been/won't be be a contender? Someone you are a fan of just cause you like their style, charisma, etc. For me it's Jay McFarlane! Just a crazy scottish guy who seems to fight for the thrill of it and who embodies the idea of "Swang and Bang". Pure machismo and swagger. Def watch some of his fights if you can lol
As we know, boxing has long since been a sport filled with corruption and controversial decisions.
I’d like to know the biggest robberies you guys have seen in the history of the sport (not close fights).
The biggest robbery I have seen by far and away in my time was the Taylor vs Catterall fight.
This was such a robbery that immediately after the fight the commentators and analysts who worked for Top Rank (Josh Taylor’s promotional company and not Catterall’s) were congratulating Catterall and, like most at ringside and home, were 100% sure he won.
Another shoutout would be Kambosos vs Maxi Hughest. This was a huge robbery and likely cost Maxi Hughes a few million going forward (his career high pay day still is around 100k), had he have for the correct decision im sure his career high pay day would have far exceeded this.
Just realized the first Fury vs. Usyk fight cost at least $150 million, just the purse for both fighters of that main event fight alone, not even counting the undercard fights or the arena setup or broadcasting. I get that getting the two best heavyweights of this era to clash is not cheap (luckily, Turki could afford it), but it makes me wonder - what are some of the most expensive fights ever made?
I know there different weights but from what I remember tank was going on an on about Crawford being easy and that he’d get him out in 6 with everyone talking about him fighting average guys why not fight Crawford would that not make up for his lack of super fights?
He doesn’t mention it at all anymore which has me wondering if he’s had second thoughts about fighting him I mean this is someone tank can’t say “what has he done” too Crawford is actually a challenge so I’m wondering ur opinions is he spooked or just waiting?
What's on your mind today?
Have questions about what gear to buy? How to wrap your hands? Or is it too late to start boxing?

The Usyk-Dubois fight was a very highly contested matchup with both boxers having a lot of success during it. I personally think the “low blow” was a body shot that put Usyk down and Dubois should’ve won that fight. However, I do understand that Usyk is a high level and complete HW and one of the best of all time. Dubois is far from an easy fight though, so if Fury loses again to Usyk in December and then Dubois beats Parker in February and they run it back, who do you see winning?
Usyk is already a highly accomplished - Olympic Gold Medalist, undisputed cruiserweight champion, undisputed heavyweight champion (the first of the 21st century). He's already at #2 for me, behind only Lennox Lewis. If he beats Fury a second time, he'll inch closer to being #1.
If however he beats Fury and then beats IBF champion Daniel Dubois a second time to become a 2x undisputed heavyweight champ (by then, he'd at least be 38) then he'd be my #1 - no question about it. 3x undisputed champions are rare.
Is this breaking news? Watching the Roach vs. Tank press conference right now this man looks uninterested, on his phone, beefing with people in the crowd, and to top it all off he actually announces next year will be his final year boxing. Talking about how beaten up and how tired of it all he is. Tired of what? Fighting zero legit champions in your weight division?
Given the Lamont fight is in March, that means he likely will have at most one more fight before retiring. What a waste of a career man. Huge fan of him when he's in the ring but this is insane.
Never saw a post fight discussion, but Stephen Fulton got dropped and even hurt against Castro back in Sept. Full fight here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2O2SNOXWGU
I thought he won, but it was close and concerning. Wasn't too long ago, right before the Inoue fight that people had this man fringe P4P. What's the perception of him post Castro and going into the Fig rematch? Obviously Fig 1 was his marquee win but not sure if he's the same guy he was.
Watching the face off before the match (obvs ik masoud beat him.) Can someone tell me the backstory in what Liam Davies means when he says Shabaz's mates crossed a line? Saying stuff about loved ones? What happened there?
Also Shabaz says it wasn't him, and it was his mates. Liam said his mates have gotten him into a sticky situation.
What happened before hand? And how did shabaz's mates stir the pot?
His one elite win is against Austin Trout, but his contributions to the super welterweight and middleweight divisions over the past decade have felt significant.
He has close losses to Canelo and Paul Williams, which have both aged very well, plus a SD loss to Jarred Hurd who was on a tear at that time.
He also won gold at the world championships as an amateur.
EDIT: Lara currently holds the WBA middle weight title
