They were fantastic but my biggest takeaway from the show is this.
That was hands down the loudest thing I have been to in my life. Concert, football game, etc. I wish I would've brought ear plugs haha
Other than that good times were had, they encored 2 more songs!
Ok to start with I am very bad at social cues and understanding the cultures of different music and band communities unless somebody just straight up tells me about them. I know very little about bands and their cultures out side of the music itself. I know that most or all of the people in ABR are Christian but that is about it. I have gone to one ABR show before but I kind of just stood in the back and followed my friend's lead. For context, I am 5'1 and 18f who is christian but also very obviously gay lol. I have been to some metal shows where nobody cared/noticed and some metal shows where I was called slurs or was told that it wasn't a place for little girls. I really want to start going to more shows but I am worried about going alone because I don't really know which bands fans/followings are inclusive. I know there are outliers in every group but just like the general fanbase? I guess i worry about ABR specifically bc they are Christian. Sorry if this is a stupid question I wasn't super sure how to phrase it.
TLDR: Should I, a 5'1 18f who is kind of stereotypically gay looking be worried about going to see ABR alone? Will I be judged bc they are Christian?
did anyone get a good picture when jake luhrs had the spotlight near the end of exhumed in huntington?
Anybody get any video of the wall of death?
Hey ya'll! First time going to CBR and I'm super stoked. Going with my husband and all his siblings / sibling in laws! We are just going Friday. I wanted to know what to expect. We are really going for ABR and TDWP, but TDWP is first on the lineup. Does that mean they'll play first? With such a long evening and not being allowed re-entry, we just wanted to know what to expect so we can plan accordingly. Tia!
Hey, guys. Does anyone know if there will there be a meet and greet available for CBR like last year? I can't seem to find an option when I go to buy tickets. thanks!
Anyone know what they’re going to play on their short run with a day to remember and stand Atlantic? Going on Friday and need to study
If ANYONE has videos of the lively pit or rowing please dm me! Was so happy to experience it and wish I had a video. I was the split blue dye clown girl
Found in Faraway Places is easily my favorite album by August Burns Red. It came out in 2014, will they do a 10 year tour soon? I havent seen anything but i thought they did 10 year tours for each album. Anyone know?
I forgot that this sub exist and didn't really advertise. I have two moar ABR sets.
Hey ABR fam! 🤟🏼
I'm a long term fan who wants to go to CBR this year. Unfortunately none of my IRL friends are into metal, so I'm looking for people to go to CBR with. I live in the Detroit area, and I'm looking for people to carpool with, share a hotel, and headbang with.
Hit me up if you're also trying to go on your own or if you have space for one more in your group!
Does anyone have any background information on ABR's live intro songs? I don't mean "Everybody's Free", but their own soundtrack-like intros that they have been using a lot for a few years.
Here are some references:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szlnDtnq67Y (intro to Thirty and Seven)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JH-K89YeUA (intro to King of Sorrow)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ySpU_aaTsY (intro to Truth of a Liar)
I think these overtures are super cool and I wonder:
I particularly like the intro to Thirty and Seven. It's so motivating and I'd love to have it as a sound file to start my day with. TIA
I really want to pick up a J.B. signature and while the current JBBM30 is nice, I like the green on the 20 much more. However, I can't find any listings. I assume it's been discontinued but there aren't even any used listings on the internet.
I love both albums! But CONSTELLATIONS is so good!! What album do you guys prefer?
So I play guitar, and I use an AXE FX which has a tone match feature. As long as I have a section of a song where just guitar is playing, I can use that to copy the tone. I want to do it for ABR since I like their tone, but I haven’t listened to much of their stuff. I know I can use Mariana’s Trench for their cleans, but I need bigger fans of them to point me to a song where there is distortion guitar ONLY for a few second section. No bass, drums, anything, just guitar. TIA
My partner recently got an August crop top randomly. They thought it looked cool while thrifting but couldn’t read it. I read the font for them and I wanna wear it but I prefer to know music first before I wear band merch. I’m aware of some stuff by them as well as the band names meaning and I enjoy the vocal style I just don’t know where to start ! Recommendations?
pulling for jingle bell rock personally
Next time you jump on a bike at the gym put it on. The way the songs transition from one another, to the breakdowns, and just pace of it. It pushes you over and over again to just go.
Try it out
