I've been playing guitar for a long time, and this song is a lot of fun to play! But i have a question...
Nearly every tablature for this song has a WILD guitar solo in between the first chorus and the second verse. The thing is... I have never once heard a recording of this song where that solo is audible. It's literally always just drums, bass, and guitar feedback pushed back in the mix.
Does anyone know of a studio recording of this song that features that solo?
I've really gotten into This Fire, My Curse and End of Heartache, which I know are 3 of their most popular songs, and they're so fucking sick!
Are Killswitch a band that I should just listen to all their albums, or should I start with certain albums you guys recommend?
Thanks!!

The band talks about the new album and songs off the album. Sounds like it’s going to be a ripper!
Im going through a very close loss rn. ive been listening to killswitch since i was a little kid. but i feel like im just now understanding alot of their songs. why did howard and early killswitch focus so much on loss? tried looking it up but found nothing.
What’s the best concert to show someone who’s never seen or heard them before with the current lineup.
I picked up vip for the tour next year, and wondered what the vip merch bundle includes? The info already says meet and greet, setlist, poster, etc. So I'm assuming specifying merch bundle is something else. Anybody know what it has included in the past?
Anyone have the presale code or know how to get it? Trying to go to the STL date.
Your announcement. Post presale codes if you have them.
Local radio station posted a show announcement for next April - Killswitch headlining with support from Kublai Khan TX. At some point they deleted the announcement, and aren’t answering anyone asking what happened. I am really hoping this tour happens!
Woke up this morning and saw this advertised on their Insta page. I only just started collecting vinyl and KSE albums are a must for me.
I managed to get my hands on TEOH about a month ago for £60 which was a steal compared to the £300+ for AOJB and ADD. With those other albums being so much, I thought I'd never get my hand on them, as I can justify £300 for a single vinyl.
So when I saw the advert on their page, there was no question about it and now have it on pre-order. I am very excited to recieve it. For anyone not knowing, check out - https://shop.revolvermag.com/products/killswitch-engage-revolver-lp-collection-box-set
However, it doesn't have DTD and their self-titled albums. Anyone might know why this is?
Donate here to Jesse and his wife if you are able please! Sorry if I am breaking any sub rules but I hate to see anyone go through this!

It seems funny, but every time I listen to Rose of Sharyn and The End Of Heartache they bring tears to my eyes. I know many might say that Always and I Am Broken Too might be the most emotional. But for me it seems that Desperate Times is the one that can touch someone's heart the most at their worst moment, it's the one that has broken me the most
Most of the time, when a band changes frontman/singer, it's never the same again and effectively kills the band.
Killswitch are one of the very few bands I can think of where a singer change has gone perfectly. And not once but twice.
Going from Jesse to Howard, I was skeptical at first, but Howard is a fantastic singer and made amazing music with Killswitch. Then when Howard left, we had a bit of Philswitch, but ultimately the return of Jesse was again absolutely seamless.
No animosity, no bad blood, Howard comes back to sing on Signal Fire and toured with them again, and we have multiple eras of Killswitch which have different sounds and styles but are all 10/10. Early Jesse period, through Howard, through modern Jesse, all different yet all brilliant.
I can't think of a band that's come close to how well these transitions have gone. I can only think of Van Halen with DLR and Sammy Hagar, but a lot of people will disagree with me on that one.
Any thoughts?
Disarm the Descent (favourite song: Turning Point)
The End of Heartache (favourite song: Rose of Sharyn)
Alive or Just Breathing (favourite song: Numbered Days)
Atonement (favourite song: I Can’t Be the Only One)
As Daylight Dies (favourite song: Break the Silence)
Incarnate (favourite song: Quiet Distress)
Self Titled (favourite song: Save Me)
As you can probably tell, I’m a big fan of the Jesse Leach albums.
This is so hard but I’d probably go numbered days
Upd. I messed up the title - I meant the Incarnate album artwork
Upd 2. Looks like i found the original creator! Name is Indra Nughoro. He/she has an Instagram accout. Well, and I asked Chatgtp and received this: “The bird depicted in the Incarnate album art by Killswitch Engage does not directly represent a specific mythological bird, but its imagery evokes symbolic themes. The dark, menacing bird seen in the artwork is reminiscent of creatures associated with death, transformation, and resilience—like ravens or crows in various mythologies. These birds often symbolize messengers between life and death, or wisdom and prophecy. Given that the album deals with themes of personal struggle, growth, and becoming “incarnate” (embodied in the flesh), the bird could be a metaphorical representation of transformation or the darker aspects of human experience. If you’re looking for a direct mythological comparison, it could loosely parallel birds like the Phoenix (symbolizing death and rebirth), though the Incarnate bird lacks the fiery and explicitly mythological aspects typical of such creatures.”
Hey, i’m planning the huge tattoo depicting the artwork of the Incarnate and Atonement album’s artwork. There are threads about the Atonement art, and thank to you guys I know the artist and creature name. I haven’t found any info about the Incarnate art. Maybe someone knows the name of the artist and details about the art? (Standard and Special albums cover, where a bird fighting the snakes - I think that’s another mythological creature)
