Hi, does anyone know of a tail light gasket template to download for an 03 - 05 Impreza (Blob eye)?
Hey, FYI for anyone shopping, today I went into the dealership and got a deal on a 2025 Outback with 1.9% APR on 48 months with $0 down! It was in Downtown Oakland CA but they said it was a manufacturer rate. Just thought this might be helpful info since it’s not listed on the Subaru website…I had been hoping for the 2.9% to turn to 0% in December but this was the next best thing!
I bought a preowned 17’ Impreza, picked it up today and was wondering if there were things in these slots or they’re just kinda there? They came empty from the dealership.
Hey everyone,
I’m planning a trip to Mammoth and could use some advice! I have a 2018 Subaru Outback with all-season (A/S) tires. I’ve read that Subaru doesn’t recommend using snow chains due to clearance issues, and buying dedicated snow tires isn’t an option for me right now.
I don’t really expect to need chains since the Outback handles well in most conditions, but I’d like to be prepared just in case. Are there any chain alternatives (like cables or other traction devices) that work well with the Outback and comply with California’s chain control requirements.
Thanks in advance for the help! Looking forward to enjoying the snow safely!
Some of the technology is great of course. But sometimes it just feels like it creates more problems/more things to fix than actually helps.
Found a clean 8000 mile outback xt. Asking $20k. 1 owner automatic. Drives well and is basically pristine. Curious on your thoughts on this model and pricing?
Looking for a nice sounding exhaust for my car, it's got the EJ205 in it. I am wanting one that has a deeper tone or rumble to it compared to a higher pitched sound. Any suggestions?
Hi all,
I'm looking at getting a used 2.5i outback limited model and have a few options I'm looking at locally. There are two 2019 models with about 55k miles on them for $22k, one is private party single owner which I def have negotiating power over due to some recent events and the other is a dealer car 2 owners that's been on the lot two months. The third option is a 2017 model with 47k miles. The price for this one is incredibly low at $13.8k that it makes me nervous. I'm inclined to go with one of the 2019 models given the newer year, upgrades in tech, and prices that make more sense, but wondering if I went with the 2017 what any drawbacks would be besides age and lack of things like apple car play which while nice to have isn't necessary. Also, all 3 have clean titles.
I just hit 150k miles in my 2014 Impreza and took it to the dealership. It’s had an oil leak for tens of thousands of miles at this point. I just keep a quart of oil in the back and top it off whenever the low oil light comes on. I get the “at oil temp” light when I’m driving on the freeway up a steep incline for a while, like driving up a mountain, but it cools down within a few minutes of me pulling over. It’s done that for years at this point.
I took it in for my 150k service to the dealership and they said it looked like I blew the head gaskets and the wanted me to authorize $3500 to diagnose it officially and upwards of 5k to repair the gaskets and that the car was no longer safe to drive. I got a rental car that day and an offer to sell it to one of those cash for junk car places for $1000. I started shopping for new cars.
The check engine light is not on. The car feels and runs fine. I would have no idea if they hadn’t said something. This is the first car I ever bought and I bought it new back in 2014. I know very little about cars. I was just looking around here and saw a lot of posts saying that blown head gaskets gets misdiagnosed a lot in Subarus.
I feel like I should get a second opinion now, but is there anything else I should know? I don’t want to get screwed out of being able to trade this in for some actual money if it is safe to drive.
I have a 2018 Impreza Sport in lithium red, I’d love a set of nice rims to run in the summer, and use my stocks in the winter (VT here). I’m just SO indecisive. If anyone has an Impreza in this color with rims, I’d love to see what you’ve got for some inspo!!
Hi everyone! Last time I posted on here was for some recommendations for some good coil overs my boyfriend could get, but today I come with a different question. He’s trying to find the type of blue this specific Subaru is painted but we don’t really have a clue if anyone would like to give it a shot? Thanks for the help!
Part 806735300
I only noticed now a tear on the outer lip of the seal, is this why it's leaking again? I have already replaced the gasket on the sundial. I used a seal driver, not the Subaru specific tool which I am thinking would be required to get this to work? Could it also be the dust shield on there CV axle??
For the passed couple weeks, I've noticed that it was taking longer for the garage to open, but now it just completely stopped working. The lights on the mirror act normally when I press the button, but nothing happens. I'm going to try programming another button and seeing if that works, but I'm guessing that the mechanism that sends out the signal is dead.
Has anyone gone through something like this before, or have any tips on how to fix? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone please help me figure out what the problem is? I’m new to this stuff, I took it to the shop but it was gonna cost me a lot if I move forward with the inspection and for them just to tell me what’s wrong and not fix anything so I’ll appreciate it a lot if y’all could help me out and tell me what I need to do. It’s also leaking a lot of oil as you can see in the video but idk where from so it’s gonna be a lot of work but I wanna learn to fix it and drive it. And what’s the best way to get the dipstick out in this situation? Thanks y’all.
I can see on my boost gauge that turbo starts boosting at 2rpm and car loses power. Previously it only boosted starting from 2.5rpm(which is supposed to be correct), the weird thing is that it only happens on some days. Any suggestions?
Not just a simple paint transfer. It looks like it damaged the actual original paint.
I purchased a 2014 Subaru Legacy for $3,000. It ran well with no dashboard lights on, and the seller mentioned a possible defective sensor in the transmission. The car is a second owner with a clean Carfax. A week ago, the "brake" and "AT oil temp" lights began flashing, but the car still drives fine with no apparent issues. However, I took it to a transmission shop for a checkup. They called today and told me that the entire transmission needs replacing, quoting $5,700 for a used one and $10,000 for a new one from Subaru. Is it possible for such damage to occur in a car that still drives perfectly with no issues? The only thing I’ve noticed is that in manual mode (it has a dual-shift system), there’s just a line where the shift number should be, but other than that, no other problems. I’m looking for advice on whether I should get a second opinion or if the diagnosis is accurate. The mechanic mentioned something about a solenoid, and I’m still waiting for the full report to be sent to my email.
So back in September I purchased a new crosstrek, I got a great deal on the car but realized after I did some research on the warranty when I got home that I'd been ripped off by a couple thousand on the gold plus. I went back into the dealership around 20 days later and cancelled (after a long back and forth with the finance manager) and re-purchased the plan for a much better price at a different dealer. However it's been almost 3 months now and I have yet to see the refund reflected on my loan and I'm starting to worry.
The financing department has avoided all calls and messages from me. On top of that I can't find the copy of the cancellation form. I called Subaru of America and they did say that my old plan had been discontinued and the new plan was instated, so hopefully that means I have something to back up my claim. I'm unsure where to go from here though. If anyone has gotten their warranty refunded, does it usually take this long? Should I go in person and request another copy of my cancellation form? (I'm worried that if they know I don't have a copy that they'll claim I never canceled). Any advice would be appreciated, just want my money back lol
How do you install the H001SFL301.? I just got it yesterday and want to install it myself so all the dealer has to do is "program" it. But looking it up, I'm only finding videos of the feature itself, not how and where to put it.
Has anyone installed the remote start, if so how do I do it.?

I wanna get a new set of wheels for my Subaru tribeca, it’s not the prettiest car in the world nor the ugliest I love my car and if I don’t blow it up I wanna replace the wheels after I square it away with its issues, got brakes to bleed and 2 vacuum lines to find holes for but after that it should be good to go what kind of wheels should I get
I purchased a new '23 Outback last year. I've recently been evaluating my personal data security, which led me to some security and personal data settings via mysubaru.com. Through the website I requested my privacy rights, and received the following response. The policy seems vague enough that it seems to give Subaru carte blanche to all activity in my Outback, essentially saying my passengers and I have NO privacy in my vehicle. Hopefully I'm misinterpreting it, but either way I'm shocked and disappointed.
(note: I've adjusted the formatting and whitespace because the email was nearly unreadable the way it was received. I hope by doing this I did not change the meaning of the text.)

5MT 2006 Legacy 2.0 NA. Ever since I bought it used it makes this chirping sound when idling and up to 1000rpm, mostly when engine is warm. Using clutch pedal doesn't change the noise. Car runs fine and shifts fine. The sound comes from around where the flywheel or exhaust manifold is(not sure). It's not a belt though. Anyone has ever had something similar with a DMF Subaru?
Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing well!
I'm reaching out to see if anyone here has access to the Factory Service Manual (FSM) for a MY00 Subaru Impreza GT. It’s an EJ20 turbocharged, left-hand drive (LHD) model for the European market.
I've done extensive searches online but haven't had any luck finding the FSM for EDM (European Domestic Market) models. Most of the available manuals seem to be for USDM (U.S. Domestic Market) models, which have several differences.
I'm currently in the process of restoring my Impreza, and right now, I’m focusing on the wiring harness. Having the complete FSM for a Version VI EDM Impreza Turbo would be incredibly helpful, but for now, I’d greatly appreciate even just the wiring diagrams section.
Thanks in advance for your help!
(Pictures of the car when it's running; most of the time, it's sitting in the workshop.)
My Girlfriend just got a 2021 crosstrek. I'm told that the remote start feature is built into it already, you just need to pay to activate it. Is this true? Does it have something to do with starlink?
