I was wondering Iif there's any benefit over the factory mechanical powersteering pump to use an electric one? I heard they don't overheat the fluid as easily due to the pump speed being better controlled.
Essentially I have a 6L LS in a 350z and it's going to be the same work essentially to make the factory one or a electric TRW pump to work.
Which one do you guys prefer?
hey so i just got a Nissan 350z and I've been wanting to drift all my life and i was curious if anyone had any tips
HI! I have a question Where do i get this kind of vbox records of drift especially of drift masters ?
Where all my x81 gang at? This was me and a few homies in Houston Texas a little while ago. My car is taken apart right now and I’m sourcing to put a Silvia steering rack in it after mine came apart at this event. Car is basically fully stock besides z32 PBM brakes all around (and hydro) 2j water pump setup, and some basic series BC coils. Working on a revamp of the setup now as this was the event I realized I was out growing the stock angle. Would love to see some x81 setups you guys have!
2024 will be my first full season, so far eight events with twelve days of drifting. 03 350z, main things done to the car are the GKtech bolt on kit, BC coilovers, welded diff and a dual caliper setup. Aside from that I have arms in the back to get the tire wear dialed in and some minor bolt ons with a tune
Still trying to decide if I want to make any setup changes over the winter like an actual angle kit or cage. The engine could definitely use a rebuild as well since it burns a good bit of oil
I just recently purchased my first rwd car, a 2024 bmw 330i. I have basically no experience with drifting or doing donuts but I was wondering if it’s even possible to get both wheels spinning with an open differential.
Just got a 2018 gt stang and i want to get a better feel for it any parking lots or wide open areas in the bay/nearby that yall know of? id also just like to swing the thing around without it heat seeking a nearby person/tree/car
I cant tell what parts and noise are normal. I previously owned a 350z touring z33, i did most work myself for maintenance and even slid it around for fun. I missed it so i bought a 370z... but the car is heavily modified (could not not buy it bc it was a deal off my buddy).
So far theres some powersteering leak somewhere i need to figure out. I hear cracking when turning the steering wheel at low speeds in parking lots. Wheel hops during low speeds which ive dealt with on a beater i welded before for fun.
The PS leak is obv not normal but i cant tell if that loud cracking noise when turning the wheel at sharper angles is normal.
I love thithis car and i want to take care of it but need some guidance.

Hi! Long time listener, first time poster.
I run an R33 skyline GTS25 (RB25DE non NEO) and i'm reworking the steering kit.
Currently the set up is as follows 25mm shuffled forward rack mounting 60mm extended lower arms O.g Acostal knuckle adapters Gktech extended rack ends 17x9 SSR Kakimoto's
Questions as follows
Could I use Gktech stock tie rods? Or am I better suited to go with the fancy rose jointed kit for bump steer.
Is there any alternative to the upper arm set up? Opposed to converting to S13 Macpherson design - I'm looking at the Gktech adjustable uppers, but unsure of any alternatives to try dial out some camber.
Is there any way to redo the power steering? Opposed to converting to an electric steering setup.
Car is only grass roots drifting - power isnt nessicary right now.
Any input into helping this ship sail sideways smoothly would be appreciated!
Hi! I'm looking for a gift for my fiancé who is into drifting and needs new gloves. He really wants a pair that have a skeleton hand design. Does anyone have any idea where to find something like that that isn't insanely expensive? He said they don't have to be certified, but I still want to get him some ones that are decent quality. Thank you!
Hello, I intend to visit Ebisu circuit for the first time on the 7th of November. I use a rental car to get there.
Can someone tell me if I have to park outside? Or is there a parking behind the gates? If so do I have to pay for just looking and parking?
Also if there is anything someone wants to tell me to make my visit even better I am happy to listen!
Hey, I recently installed gktech stand alone hydro kit on my 350z, along with brembo style calipers and all new brake components and lines. I got the 3/4 master cylinder size.
The hydro brake seems to have weak braking power. I can't seem to lock up the rears. How should a properly set up hydro feel? Should it be able to lock up in a straight line?
It doesn't seem to be a bleeding issue, as the handle goes hard shortly after pulling. I'm getting advice to keep securing the line. I'm wondering if anyone else knows what could be wrong.
Thanks
Edit: I figured it out. Turns out my hydro could lock up the rears lol. I just wasn't going fast enough when testing in a straight line to notice it locking up. After heating up the pads, it could lock up no problem.
