Does the Subaru forester wilderness have seat Memory
Hey all, im thinking about getting the Rally Innovations Rally Light Bar but i want to know if anyone likes it before i buy it. Is it worth it? Is it not worth it? Thanks in advance
Can someone please show me the correct place to tee in for a boost gauge. I've tried a couple of different spots but the gauge reads 0. Not sure if I'm having a blonde moment or if I've got a faulty gauge. 06 SG9 Forester.

Have a 2020 Forester Sport that when going out of a stop, between 5-6 mph it has its first shift and seems to be quite rough. There is no noise associated with it, but all of the other shifts are fine, except this first shift. Mileage is approximately 71,000.
Thanks for any and all help/opinions.
Subaru Forester Wilderness 2024 in Autumn Green! Just drove it off the lot yesterday. It's my first new car and I'm so excited to go adventuring. Time to get some mud on those shiny tires :)))
2014 forester xt Aquired the car a month ago. It has been doind this noise under high rpm. Dosent seem to be bothered by the turbo load. The car is a1 part from this. What could it be?
My obd scanner isn't working right now. Gotta wait til the morning to find a place open to read any codes. But does anyone have any ideas for now? Was just running out to the store and eye sitr and check engine came up. Also the drive mode is flashing s.
I just got my Forester, also my first Subaru and I’m digging it. However, there is some mild clunking happening in the rear when I hit bumps, and my research has come up suggesting this might be related to rear control arms. I’m decently handy with cars (done oil changes, brake pad replacement, alternators, starters, radiators, etc), but never done control arms or suspension and I’m not sure what I’m doing. YouTube has helped a little, but part of what I can’t tell is :
I’m having trouble visualizing what’s going on back there structurally. Like, is the control arm the triangle-shaped part, or the skinny V-shaped part? How likely is it I can do this myself? Is there a go-to Subaru-specific YT channel for stuff like this?
Thanks in advance, friends!
Hi,
I have a 2010 Subaru forester 4sp auto with about 295km on the clock so she’s getting old. Have had issues for a year or so now when putting transmission into sport mode for windy/hilly cross country driving, it won’t downshift when whacking it into - but it’s fine to go up a gear when hitting +. I have managed for a while to find that if I slightly push diagonally down when switching gears that it is more likely to go but now it’s not so much. It will even jump from 4th to 2nd gear after trying to downshift multiple times which is quite annoying.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
PSA. Never had any transmission or engine trouble before
Bought these letters from Etsy and I gotta say they are super clean.
Hey everyone. I’ve got a ‘21 sport with 59k on it. The drivers window has started acting screwy with up-auto. It gets to the top and reverses. Nothing is in the track visually. Happens once every couple weeks. Only way I can get it to stay up is if I manually feather the switch going up. Any ideas ?
I have 2023 Forester Sport. I rather drive my car through the hands-free tunnel, but this specific car wash will have you drop it off, and they run it through. Their normal procedure is put the car in Neutral and turn it off. When it comes out of the car wash tunnel, they turn it on and drive it to another spot to be dry. That's fine. I think that's how it's supposed to be done. Other times, they leave the car on and don't disable the ADAS. One of them is disabled because that's how I have it by default. It's the one where if you drift to another lane, the car will stay in place. That will stay disabled until it's enabled again. The other one that has the Pre-Collision is the one that enables automatically when you turn on the car again. That's the one they don't disable. I would go to a different car wash, but the others are bad. This car wash actually washes the car well. My issue is them not listening about disabling the ADAS. Half of the time they run the car through the tunnel on. The other, they turn the car off. It makes no sense to not have a set procedure.
Hello! I just bought this beautiful 2022 Forester Wilderness edition. Had it 3 days now. Everything has been fantastic on it till this morning. Went to drive and all these lights are now on. Took it to an auto parts store to have the codes read. All it said was an emissions leak. I retightened the gas cap for that issue. Hoping that was the problem and the check engine will shut off soon.
This doesn’t explain all the other lights though. All auto shops are closed today so hoping maybe someone can tell me what the issue may be?
Had the battery checked as well and it is all in the green. No other codes shown other than the emissions leak. Any help would be much appreciated!
2002 Subaru Forester I got new lights from my car and upgraded from the normal yellow lights because I could barely see and I live up North so it’s particularly dangerous during winter time. My old lights had 3 settings: parking lights (dim), normal, and brights. I could also have my fog lights on for all 3. Now with the new LED bulbs, I only have two: normal and brights. And I can’t have my brights on at the same time as my fog lights. Whenever I turn on the fog lights my brights come on (the dash has a dim indicator of the brights on), yet when I turn on the brights the dash full illuminates the brights signal and the fog lights turn off. Is this normal?
Are there any downsides to Bilstein B6 struts that I should be cognizant of before pulling out my credit card?
I’m not doing any hard off-roading, but I do frequently use the car to carry lumber, tools, etc. Thinking of “overload” struts for the rear as opposed to “sport”.
Looking for a recommendation on new front and rear shocks struts and arms for a 2015 Subaru Forester Premium. Need something that can handle tough city roads.
Thanks!
Hi all, 2025 Touring and the remote start is not working through My Subaru - “Engine start failed” error. I can lock/unlock the doors with the app and get the status. I cleared cache and data on the app (Android). So the app is communicating with the car. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do about it? Thanks in advance.
Best place to tee in for a boost gauge? 08 ej255 sg9
I grew up in the South, and never really seen snow.
I'm heading to the mountains ~90min out west of Denver/Fort Collins area in Colorado for quite a bit in December to mid January, and I'm honestly kinda nervous. I've watched a ton of videos about the CrossClimate 2's, which I have, and the AWD and X-Mode on the Sport, which I have... And it basically looks impossible to get stuck. Like I saw videos where they tried, and while they may have spun the tires some, they got out almost instantly. But, I'm still nervous af. If it so much as rains hard they shut everything down here - that's how little of inclement weather driving I have.
I've also read you can't use snow chains on Subarus because of clearance and potential to destroy the brake lines, but snowy areas "require" them... Or at least "traction aids." So I bought some snow socks. But I've seen/read that these can get tore up pretty easily. I have read quite a few people say they never have been stopped or questioned about chains in their Subies in Colorado, so hopefully I won't even have to use them? I'm worried about having to use them and destroying them instantly, and then I'm without any traction aid and needing them again later.
I'm also getting an extending snow broom thing with a foam edge to get the snow off before I get on the road while I'm there (rare), and know about the tricks of covering my windshield with trash bags and the side mirrors with bags as well... I also have put a ceramic wax spray on the car, and hit the door gaskets with silicone lube. There will be a shovel on site - but I have a small spade I could use if push comes to shove...
I don't really want to go overboard, because while I'll be there a little while, I don't really plan on travelling but a few times to get groceries. And I don't have a ton of money to be blowing since I just bought the tires, did a bunch of maintenance, renting the cabin, it's not like I'm living there, and well the economy is just kinda bad overall.
But, what could I possible need more? I'm sure I'm missing some ideas, and would love the assistance of people that know snow/ice driving! Maybe I'm also looking for some reassurance 😅 and some tips and tricks!
Just got this car with 100,000 miles. Learning to do my own maintenance. Heard I need to look out for some things with the CVT even though the maintenance manual says nothing is needed. Is there anything else I need to do that isn't in the manual? I'm a complete beginner when it comes to vehicle maintenance. I think I'm going replace all the fluids so I know for sure everything is good. Is there anything that needs to be done earlier than what the manual says? I heard there is also high oil consumption as well. Thanks in advance.
