Under 900kg

Cars like the Lotus Elise, weighing under 900kg, have long been considered the purest driver's cars. Unlike modern sports cars packed with tech and big horsepower, the Elise focused purely on handling and driving engagement. But cars are getting heavier, and even Lotus is now making larger models like the Emeya and Eletre. It feels like true lightweight sports cars are becoming a rarity. So, what do you think—do lightweight sports cars still have a place in today’s market?

My very First Ferrari

My Ferrari dream came through over 20 years ago when I purchased this 1999 Ferrari F1 Spider Serie Fiorano from Ferrari of San Francisco. It was #42 of 100 & I even got the Personalized license plate, 42OF100. Many unforgettable memories & a some expensive service bills/repairs( ie. engine out service$$!). Funny how the F1 SMG transmission was all the rage back then.

Which depreciated sports car. Vantage vs Amg GT

I am weighing up these two options.

I can pick up a 2018-2020 AMG GT for 65-80k

I can pick up a 2019 Aston vantage for 80-90k

Both base model.

I know very similar cars but which would you go for?

Goal is amazing sports car that turns head and doesn’t depreciate like crazy or get stuck in the garage

To Drive or To Preserve?

I just came across this story about a Lotus Exige S1 that’s been sitting untouched for 25 years, with only 50 miles on it. It’s in perfect condition, like it just rolled out of the factory. Honestly, I can’t imagine owning a car like this and not driving it. The Exige S1 is all about pure driving fun, and leaving it parked feels like such a waste. But I get it—some people love to keep cars like this as collectibles, almost like pieces of art. What about you? Would you preserve a car like this, or take it out on the road and enjoy it?

4seater / Panamera vs. Quattroporte?

Must soon replace my venerable BMW5 and was thinking about something more sporty. Need a 4 seater. I like the aesthetics of both the Porsche Panamera and the Maserati Quattroporte. Thinking of buying used in the range of $50-60K. Any experiences or motivated opinions on what to choose. Thanks.

Mustang Vs. Charger?

Which ones are typically easier to drive? I'm a new driver and own a Charger (dream car since I was a kid and was able to get a good deal) and feel like it's wider than expected and rolls a bit backwards when I'm stuck in traffic on hills. I don't drive much and figure I'll eventually get used to it but has anyone had experience with both? or recommend Mustangs?

Lightweight or Luxury: What Makes a Sports Car Special?

Sports cars are all over the place now—some stick to lightweight simplicity, others go full luxury with all the tech. Take Lotus, for example. They’ve always been about lightweight fun, but their new EV, the Emeya, is packed with luxury features. Is this the right move, or are they losing what made them special?

Need help getting a "fun" car

Hi I'm turning 18 soon and am looking for my first car. I live in CT so it snows a decent amount here, so I would like an AWD or FWD drivetrain, as well as automatic transmission. Are there any fun cars I can get for under 30k used, and how would you define "fun". One of my friends recommended getting a V6 AWD Dodge Charger, but is that a sports /fun car, or just a normal car (like a Camry with a nicer design)?

Sports cars under 35k

Good evening, guys. I'm looking for a sports car with a budget of up to €35,000. I live in Europe, so high-displacement cars like Corvettes aren't easy to find here. I want something rear-wheel drive, definitely two-door, with at least 26-27 kg of torque (around 255+ Nm). What would you recommend? If possible, please share your ownership experiences, service costs, any issues you've faced, and how frequently they occurred.

I'm looking at getting a sports car

I currently have a daily driver ( a 2010 Hyundai Elantra GLS) and I'm looking at getting a decently fast sports car. I have had a sports car before ( classified as a sports car by my insurance). It was a Acura TL Type S, it was nearly stock (300 horsepower) and It ended up being totaled out. I'm looking at getting another decently fast sports car and I'm not sure what to get. I would prefer rwd and automatic. But I'm willing to accept AWD as well. My budget is 35k. Thank you

Looking for a fun car on a budget

I’m a uni student living in Australia and I am looking to buy a car. I’m not super into the jdm stuff but all of the euro cars in aus are expensive to repair. What would be a decent sporty car?
