Ever since I got my mustang I’ve honestly been doing what people would normally do when they get their first sports car. Pulls every chance I get (like nearly every time there’s an open road), revving it a few times every now and then to show friends, speeding on the highway, etc. all that basic stuff, and it’s also my daily. It started having some problems though and I took it to a repair shop. Turns out my battery got fried and a shifter connected to my transmission got damaged. I was wondering if it was my fault in any way and are there things I should avoid doing? Btw, it’s an automatic (yes I know boring lol) and I typically switch it from drive to sport while it’s moving, but I was told it’s fine to do so by multiple people. Could the things I have done possibly be the reason why it’s damaged? Any specifics tips on what I should not do anymore once I get it fixed?
I’m interested in buying one of these 2 cars in the near future (both MT and 6 cylinder). Which is a better platform overall? I know the Supra is a better performer out of the box but could the Z be made to perform just as well? I’m trying to factor in all the hurdles like the Supras locked ECU, the Z’s 20 year old architecture, etc. With money all things are possible I suppose
The Z looks better but doesn’t sound as good The Supra sounds better but… has a lot of unnecessary vents
Edit: for street driving in Mexico
I am planning on buying an older integra, is it worth it with the prices now to get a type r or gsr? Or should I stick with an ls/rs
I am currently looking for a new sports car on a budget and was wondering what yalls opinion on a toyota supra 2.0 vs a 2024 mustang would be? Any opinion is appreciated
What is more important to you when you look for a sports car?
I'm in a thread in another sub, in which there is an argument about whether or not an Elantra N is a sportscar. Some of us are saying no it's not. Others are saying that it is indeed a sportscar.
What do the folks of an actual sportscar subreddit think?

$120,000 budget for a NEW(not used) car with manual transmission, anything worth upgrading from a ZL1 to? Needs to be 0-60 in under 4 seconds.
Preferably a two door
How's it going fellow enjoyers?

So I'm looking for a sports car under 30k. If I'm being honest I want a sports car because I like the way it looks, and I don't care for how fast it goes (I'm a grandma driver.) I really love the way the Toyota G86 looks but hear so many problems with it. I want something reliable and something with possible car alerts for the blind spots. What cars do you recommend.
I want to add that I want to stay away from foreign cars.
My list (in no order)
Ferrari F50 Aston Martin Vanquish Mercedes SLS Mercedes SLR McLaren Porsche Carrera GT Porsche 911 Turbo Lamborghini Murcielago
Been looking for a fun fast car. I like the idea of the EV - like a Tesla plaid because the 0-60 is insane but it doesn’t seem like it would be as engaging as an ICE vehicle. My brother has a 19 Porsche GT3 RS (I get it’s a bit of a unicorn) which is the most fun I’ve ever had driving a car….however I’m not sure I want to spend 200-300k on a vehicle.
Thoughts on EV or gas?
Buying a 2008 Corvette Coupe
The seller is wanting 28k. It has 29k or 39 k miles on it I believe. It’s been garage kept its entire life and there’s no problems interior or exterior. Performance wise it’s stock besides the exhaust and they said the previous owners dyno tuned it. Am I leaving out too much information? Do you think I’m getting a fair deal on it?
Is there anything that can match this: 1. AWD 2. N/A or Supercharged V8 3. Sport coupe

I appreciate any advise yall can give me. I’m currently 17 y/o a senior in HS and driving a ‘97 4Runner with almost 300k. I want to be able to buy a decent sports car when i graduate. I’m blessed to have found a good job in real estate along with owning my own car detailing business. I looking for a car for around $20-$25k maybe i could k stretch it to 30k. Ideally i’d like something that will last me a while with respectable speed, 0-60 in the 4 second range, and something that won’t cost me a crazy amount of money down the line. It would also be great if it had good modification potential (can make sound good, and look good). Overall just a daily that i can take to a car meet and to a real estate meeting without looking goofy at either. I understand there are a lot of qualifications so i appreciate any advise. I’m currently thinking an older BMW (2000s) would be a good bet. But im open to anything from MOPAR to European. Thank Yall in advance!
I can’t get a new car right now, but I’m wanting one in the next 2-3 years. I was moving towards BRZ/86, but I’ve heard they have some reliability issues. Are there any cars that look similar to it or “sporty” while also having good reliability that are under $20k? I don’t like the look of Miata’s and cars that look similar. I don’t really want a v8 cuz I really just like the look of them and also don’t wanna be spending $150 a week in gas. V6 is a good middle point or lower if there’s any there. Manual preferably cuz if I’m getting a sports car, I’d like it to be a manual. Any and all input is appreciated! Thank you guys in advance!
Hey everyone,
I'm 191-192 cm tall (about 6'3" - 6'4"), and I'm looking into getting a sports car from the following list:
I love these cars, but my height makes me wonder if I’d fit comfortably in any of them, especially for longer drives. I’d appreciate feedback from taller drivers who own or have driven these cars. Any modifications that helped with fitment are also welcome!
Thanks!
