A family friend has this awesome heirloom that was made for his grandparents. I would love to have some similar to commemorate my marriage and pass down to my kids.
It can be as simple as an Etsy store, but I am looking for someone to make own for me.
You can see his two most recent videos from his IG on his website:

But basically the MK4 button lock preorder went so poorly that the day after Black Friday (yesterday) he refunded all the orders and publicly quit knifemaking.
Apparently he's still doing clips moving forwards but if you were planning on picking up his new button lock it isn't moving into production.
Just an FYI for people who didn't know this was going on. I've never seen someone close up shop the day after a knife drop before, so the preorders must have been gnarly.
Good morning, Do any of you have a Sokosha? What do you think? Any feedback on this?
Furthermore, do you know where CKF Sokosha is made because I can't find it.
Thank you so much!
Good day
The handle on this knife is the most comfortable one I’ve felt on any knife.
When you grasp the knife it’s like your whole hand just fits the knife like a glove. Obviously well designed handle that was made by someone who studied the human hand and the way we grip objects and what was most optimal . Tbh ever since I started buying a couple knife’s I realized how good this one was.
The blades also pretty good too
What do you guys think about this knife with 8CR13MoV steel vs let’s say a regular d2 or other blades you guys like.
Also I feel like most people on here have had this knife as it’s the most sold kershaw of all time
Purchased this Spartan Astor from Tennessee Cutlery. (Very fast shipping, btw) Took it out of the box and noticed the steel is 154CM. Went back to the store page I bought it from and it states CTS-XHP. I also can't seem to find a listing for a Spartan Astor in 154 CM on any other website, as well. When did they switch it from CTS-XHP? I have the CF version, and this green G10 one seems authentic; I have to compare them later today when I get the chance.
Update:
Tennessee Cutlery got back to me (on a Sunday!) and said they have 2 more green G10 Astors showing 154CM. They apologized and offered a full refund if I want to send the knife back. They're going to contact Spartan Blade and see why the Astors they have in stock are 154CM. I'm still debating on whether I want to keep the knife, but happy to see solid customer service from TC.
I also emailed Spartan Blades and will update if I hear back from either Spartan or TC.
Found in an old storage shed, no idea what it is but guessing not worth much.
Applegate Fairbairn knife & daggers are double edged but they are only good for stabbing & limited slashing & not good for chopping. Gerber strongarm is good for chopping, limited slashing & stabbing but is not double edged. Buck Pathfinder is also not double edged.
I’m looking to buy something like the Wesn microblade but I saw on this sub it’s bad quality, what other similar knife would you recommend?
Hi knife enthusiasts!
He mentioned before that he is saving up for a knife that he wants. I am not quite sure if I didn’t hear the brand or he didn’t mention it all. But one thing’s for sure, I heard him say that he wanted a paring knife and a santoku knife.
I need recommendations for high/good quality knives of these kinds please. He said it was a Japanese brand that he wanted.
Help me by dropping the brand and its pros and cons if possible.
Hehe, if I may add, do you have suggestions on how I can ask him about knives without giving him a hint
Thank you so much!!!
I remember when these used to be around $20. Ah, those were the days.

Hi All, Brand new to this subreddit.
I know next to nothing about knives. I want to gift a knife to a family friend who just retired from the Navy after 25 years of service. He always carries a foldable knife and uses it for every random chore around his house. So, I want something that not only looks cool, but is functional, reliable and very high quality. I will spend up to $700.
Shawn Ryan recommends Strider and Half Face Blades. They are expensive, which I don't mind, but are they worth the money?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
