Hi all, I am new to knife throwing. Sorry for my bad english, is not my first language. Yesterday I bought my first set and I tried them in the garage, but the noise of the knifes falling on the floor, or the wooden boards on the surface on which they are placed is really high and rumbles. Since I live in a residential complex I need to find a way to muffle this, do you guys have some tips? I read the using a few cardboards as a target could help. Thanks in advance
You died.
A 3" x 5" thrower, shuriken are illegal where I live and I wanted something with a guaranteed stick. This has a %99 stick rate. Law says a shuriken has no handle, this does. In fact you can hold it as a melee weapon. It's compact but has that satisfying stick. I'm classifying it as a multi-tool, it's definitely NOT a thrower ๐
DISCLAIMER: this is meme and satire, in Roblox, not to be taken seriously. ๐ Please do not try at home, I cannot guarantee immunity to your local laws. This item was made as a decorative piece and I will be carrying six of them because it's part of my religion ๐(don't ask which one, you discriminatory person) and you're racist and or whatever if you say otherwise because that's how the backwards law works where I live and people get away with stuff like that all the time. ๐คก Anyway have fun out there!
Out of all my knives, I throw best w/ an Ontario Knife Company 499 Survival Knife. It has a 5โ blade, 9.5โ OAL, weighs 1 pound according the the OKC web site - but very well balanced. This is the model w/ the leather handle. It is now selling for over $50.00 - a bit much for a throwing knife.
Can anyone recommend a throwing knife w/ similar specs in the under $50.00 range? Or, do I just bite the bullet and get another?
Thanks!
I just stumbled across this sub and it seemed like a good place to ask: if I live in suburban Maryland and want to practice throwing knives (starting from absolute novice level), how should I go about it? I see people posing images of logs and cardboard theyโve used as targetsโฆcan I just start doing that whenever? Is there anyone I have to notify or anything like that?
Exactly as the title states. Does anyone train with a goal in mind like being able to extend one's effective range with knives or other regular tools for self defense, or for other combat reasons like simply having an extra tool in the toolbox for something like war or home defense? Purely out of curiosity and I haven't spent enough time on this subject to have made a solid opinion on any of it, I am simply curious about hearing from u.
Like I genuinely donโt know how I did this
I got a set of cheap cold steel throwing knives as a Christmas present. I have had so much fun with them. Iโd like to buy some nice, expensive non chinese knives, but I donโt know what type to buy. How do you determine which type? Is one easier to throw than the other? None of the knifes Iโve looked at even say what type of spin they are, how do you know?
