RULES Please use the 'Report' feature for any post/comment you feel is in violation of the below rules.
1.) Post a list of your items
When posting pictures of your EDC, please provide a list of items in the comments within one hour of posting; otherwise, your post will be removed.
2.) No Spam
We consider spam to be posts/comments that try to take advantage of the subreddit, automated or otherwise.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Advertising your own products/company/social media
Shilling for a third party/Thinly veiled advertising such as "Hope I can get this into other people's hands" or " Items I produce"
Affiliate/referral links
You can include items that you make/sell in EDC posts, so long as it includes other items.
The one and only exception to this rule is special deals offered to the members of this sub. Before posting such deals please message the Mod team.
3.) No Incivility
Comments/posts that include name calling, insults, mocking, condescension, gatekeeping, or any other form of incivility towards users or items will be removed. Criticism of an item itself is allowed, but keep it civil.
4.) No Politics
Discussion regarding any political party/ideology/group, even those you agree with, will not be tolerated. Do not debate the politics of a country/state/city, user or of an item they choose to EDC. Posts are allowed to contain political imagery (stickers, flags, patches, etc.) so long as they aren’t the primary focus of the post, and don’t violate Reddit TOS.
5.) No Inappropriate Content
Inappropriate content is content that doesn’t fit the theme of the subreddit. This includes, but is not limited to: content unrelated to EDC, news articles, nudity, and injuries/gore.
6.) No Videos
Video posts are not allowed. They are difficult/time consuming to moderate and often contain advertising.
7.) No Memes
No memes, petitions, screenshots, or clickbait. Satirical EDCs are allowed, so long as it follows the traditional EDC post format.
8.) Meet Minimum Posting Requirements
In order to post or comment, an account must be at least 48 hours old and have a minimum of 50 Karma. This is to prevent spam. Please do not message the mods asking for your post to be approved. Be patient and repost/comment once your account has met these requirements.
9.) Do not ask why someone carries a knife or a gun
Please read the FAQ before asking why someone carries a knife or a gun. These questions are often asked dishonestly, and this rule exists to discourage political debate stemming from loaded questions.
10) Do not give unasked for advice regarding firearms or knives, or ask why they aren't carried.
Do not give unasked for advice regarding purchasing or carrying firearms or knives.
Do not ask users why they don't carry.
Both of these actions are the flip side of not asking why they are carried. Doing so serves no good purpose and pushes users who choose not to carry such items into justifying their choice, or explaining the fact that laws are not the same everywhere.

It's not that I don't buy pricy stuff but I don't like to buy things I'm afraid to damage. Been a lurker of demko for a while and finally bit the bullet. Love how figgity it is for being so utilitarian feeling.
We went to a local Outlet Mall to find heavy-duty bootlaces for the husband. Hubby shouted my name from across the store because he knows what I like and said “Hey, EDC stuff! Anything here useful for your kit?”
Here is what I picked up. I can’t and won’t say anything to the quality of the tools yet, and we know you get what you pay for, usually (SAK and Letherman, cough cough). For those dipping a toe into EDC though, I think it’s worth a look. Many items were discounted, there are 3 for 2 offers, and they did have a good selection of EDC/camping/wilderness gear.

I tend to do the less expensive stuff since the likelihood of it growing wings and flying away increases with the cost.

looking for a good edc pen here's what I'm looking for in said pen:
Clip has to be durable, and hold onto a jean pocket well as I'm constantly squatting, bending down, getting in and out of vehicles. Preferably deep carry as well.
Price. Something I wouldn't be real upset about if lost, and totally fine with disposables. definitely >$100.
Preferably in black including the clip.
It will be riding along side a penlight in the pocket if that helps, I'de prefer plastic so as to not scratch that up but not necessary.
Don't care if it's a click, cap, screw on cap, bolt action etc. so long that if it is a cap it stays on well.
Good reputation of not bursting or leaking.
Finally no fountain pens, just not my thing.
Excited to see what ya'll come up with TIA

So I lost my spyderco para 2 today :( Although it was my absolute favorite knife I've ever owned I'd been shopping around looking at various spyderco knives but today came across microtech. I'll be honest I have no experience and don't know anyone with a microtech knife. I'd love to hear some input on either brand or both. I had a para 2 as stated above and would like to keep the knife in that size range. Thanks in advance!
