Bird Boarding?

My partner and I will be travelling and want a safe and reliable place for our bird, a cockatiel, to spend the time. My old city had a number of bird boarders and enthusiasts I could trust, but I haven't found any in Baltimore. Any suggestions?

Gift shop suggestions

Hey groovy kidz. I’m going to be visiting Baltimore for the weekend next week, and I’d like to check out gift shops that sell fun, funky, weird and or amusing items - handmade a plus. Any recommendations would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Place to Legally Dump in Baltimore City on Sunda

Good Morning, I'm moving and I have a load of bulk trash. Is there any containers that anyone knows of or locations that I can dump bulk items on a Sunday? Preferably Southwest Baltimore.

The MARC Train

Did a video on my frustrations with the MARC, and just an overall explainer on the system. Would love it if you checked it out!

I just moved here and my 29 birthday is coming up. What should the itinerary be?

I don’t know what the go-to spots are. I just know I want to invite friends from out of town (cause I have none here yet). Basically I want to start off w an activity or dinner, get drunk at a pub of sorts, and end up dancing to ideally good music that doesn’t sound like they’d play it at a gym (pitbull, etc) but rather something that came out on a CD; classic stuff; rock, pop, r&b.

I also would love to do karaoke. This is obvious ofcourse but I’m looking to have a great damn time and I’m putting all my eggs in this birthday celebration basket cause I’m alone here and it’s sucked getting adjusted. I’m being a bit dramatic but I suppose comedy stems from a little bit of truth.

Any thoughts?

Rum bars

Hey everyone. I got really into rum recently and looking to dive more into it. Looking for a place that has various levels of brands like zacapa, pillars, floral de cana, etc. Not the regular Malibu and bacardi stuff. Are there any places in baltimore??

Second opener at Stavvy’s show?

Not much else to add. Baltimore’s own Stavros Halkias once again made the drive with his family from Highlandtown to the Lyric in mt… Vernon? Ish? Hard to tell what the neighborhood lines there are.

Anyhow, what was the name of his second opener? Cuz he was AWESOME. Pretty sure his first name was Andy.

Heating issues and it’s getting cold!

Husband and I live in Fed by Riverside Park. Unfortunately our heater stopped working last night - what a lovely weekend for it haha. We were able to figure out that our hot surface igniter for our gas surface is broken. Every HVAC person we have called is not available until Monday and none of the hardware stores in the area have this piece. I know it’s a long shot, but maybe someone here knows a Baltimore HVAC person who comes around on weekends? Thank you.

Break-ins rate

Do you know what is the break-ins rate for the area, including city and county? Is there an official source? I would like to show it to my family, since they are concerned about me living in here. They even asked me to install security cams. Do I really need them? Thanks!

What is going on in this section of the beltway?

This has been bugging me for awhile, and seems petty but at this point I just have to know. In this section of the beltway the noise barriers between the actual roadway and the surrounding neighborhoods is like 3-4 different materials. Some is the new style stone (mainly on the outer loop side) and makes sense since this area was redone not too long ago. The inner loop side is wooden, but in one particular area is like clear plexiglass almost, so you can see the neighborhood through the walls, but only for like a 200 ft section before is returns to wood, and at one point the entire portion was wood and then the plexiglass came later. Anyone have any idea what/why this is the way it is? Every time I drive through I wonder why, when I’m not cussing out the traffic anyway.

A good “I have no plans today” restaurant/bar

Hey guys,

What’s a good hanging out, food is good, music, social, bar or restaurant?

First time in a minute I’m free on a Saturday with no plans. Wanna go someplace where I can eat and hang out.

Good place to watch the game tomorrow?

I'm an Eagles fan living in Baltimore. I like the Ravens and I'm looking for a good bar with a lively atmosphere and maybe one where some friendly trash talk is welcome. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Looking to have a simple jacket made?

Let me preface this by saying this is NOT for a Christmas gift!! It will be more like springtime when I have the extra funds for this, as I expect to pay decently for custom work.

I have a poncho/capelet type jacket that I love, that I was hoping to have recreated in another color and maybe with some custom embroidery. It's a simple enough design that it seems like it should be fairly easy to duplicate, and I even have a spare of the original that could be taken apart for pattern reference! The custom clothing stores seem to be mainly geared towards suits, are there any home seamstresses/tailors that do jobs like this out there?

FlixBus/Greyhound Stop Near Bayview

Accidentally booked this Greyhound stop instead of the one by the casino. My sister and I are going on a day trip to NYC starting early in the morning and getting back extremely late. How is the area? Is it okay enough to just park at Bayview (Alpha Commons Drive) and walk 10min to the stop or should we just Uber/Lift? Would rather not street park.
