Hello, I recently moved into my first apartment with my partner, and it’s been a shitshow. I’ve been informed that the place doesn’t have any type of central heat and my landlord dropped off 4 space heaters as a “fix” and expects us to use them all winter. There is a place for heat to come out near our baseboards, so that’s why I assumed we would have fucking heat. He’s not going to get heat in our apartment, and we can’t leave them plugged when we’re both at work and we have pets. I came home today to my hedgehog (who has a heat lamp and needs to stay at 74 degrees) dead from getting too cold. Is this legal?! I’m constantly freezing, our electric bill has skyrocketed and we’re expected to pay it and I don’t know what I can do, or if this is totally legal somehow. Any advice would be helpful thank you💗
