I posted a similar thread to this earlier but realized I couldn’t always tell where people were delivering versus what provider they used. My question is if people would recommend GBMC or Hopkins for delivery and working backwards, if they would recommend GBMC Perinatal Associates or Hopkins ObGyn? Or whether people just delivered at those locations but with different providers.
I am only 2 months along. I had my first appointment at GBMC Perinatal but wasn’t sure if I should switch to seeing an obgyn at Hopkins to be able to deliver there. I am up near there Hereford area, so JHU is slightly farther by 10 minutes but I don’t know whether such a small difference matters (especially as it looks like I would just take 83 down 99% of the way). If I switched to Hopkins for obgyn, I would prefer to be seen at Greenspring but it doesn’t seem they have many doctors there?
Would love to hear people’s experience for both delivery and provider (and specific location - like if you were Hopkins which location). I am wondering whether I should pick where I want to deliver or pick where I want to be seen for obgyn. Some people tell me Hopkins because they have a higher level NICU (and just as a world renowned hospital) but others tell me they had a great experience at GBMC. In my last thread I asked about the “Towson” area so I don’t know if people just didn’t mention JHU because they thought it was out of my area….or if they didn’t mention it because they didn’t recommend it.
Thank you!
Hello I’m a college student and I’m trying to find a affordable driving school or instructor to help me practice driving.
Hi everyone! So I had my first interview with Baltimore County Gov. I wanted to see how long it could take for me to hear something or what your experience was? I don't expect to get the job but l'm still very happy that they gave me the opportunity to even interview and that gives me hope in the future if I don't get this job.
We heard a crazy explosion noise at about 7:30pm tonight in the Ballard Gardens area that nobody seems to be able to find the source of! Everyone on my street popped out onto our porches to look around, but didn't see anything. First responders started cruising through the neighborhood, but didn't find anything so eventually left. A couple comments in the one Facebook group post I saw mentioned hearing it in Perry Hall and Rosedale as well. If anyone knows anything, I'm very curious and concerned!
I’m looking for excellent bread pudding that doesn’t contain raisins. Where should I go?
Hi friends 😊 I need your suggestions for a trustworthy auto repair shop in/around the city, or between here and Annapolis, that won’t rip me off, won’t tack extra stuff on to raise the bill, and one that does reputable work. Please and thank you!
Why does it feel like Owings Mills has more traffic lights than the entire city of Baltimore? And no, I'm not exaggerating - it's a legitimate quest just to get from one end of Reisterstown Road to the other. Someone tell me, is this some sort of cruel "timed challenge" or a traffic light conspiracy? Can we petition for a traffic light-free zone, or is that too much to ask?
Moving to Baltimore soon. Any recommendations for safe apartments? Budget is $1500/month in rents(utilities included ) would be good if it had a gym as well and extra benefit if it has a pool
I’m a single woman in my thirties and I work full time as a floral designer and im really struggling with the cost of living here. I’m from California so I’m not a stranger to it but I’m at the cheapest apartment I can find in the county and I can barely make ends meet with electric and car insurance and groceries. My BGE alone was $236 and I’m barely even in my apartment.
Are there any programs that anyone knows of that just ASSIST with rent. I’m not looking for a free ride or to work less I just desperately need help at this point and I don’t know what to do.
Tonight I tasted the baklava cheesecake from the Nautilus diner on York Road in Timonium and I believe it is the greatest dessert I've ever tasted and absolutely probably the best cheesecake in the world.
I'm not kidding You need to go try that stuff immediately.
Tell them the union guy sent you
Hi all. I live in towson and recently came across a cat outside my apartment that looks like he has a broken leg. His left ear is tipped, so I'm thinking he was trapped and neutered at some point. I'm in the process of trying to find an owner (although I think he may be a stray or feral.) I'm just trying to figure out if I can help get his leg taken care of, even if he has to go back to a colony. Anyone know of any groups/organizations that could help? Maybe it's wishful thinking but I have to try something
I am actively seeking an attorney to represent me in a criminal case. The charges contain a felony and two misdemeanor charges. I was verbally assaulted based upon my sexuality. I ignored the situation until the other party approached me in a threatening physical manner. At that point The situation became a physical altercation. I ended up being the one with felony charges the initiator only received misdemeanors. The incident occurred in A.A county yet I am a Baltimore city resident. Please Help Me!!!
Hey guys. I was talking a customer at work today and he was talking about how he bought a nice, expensive video game system for his kid and the kid (under age 7) got bored with it in 3 weeks. He wanted to try again but without shelling out you know 300-500$ to try it out. Best I could think of is Rent-a-Center but it looks like they only have the newest consoles. He was looking for a generation behind (a PS4). Is video game console rental a thing? I never thought of it before.
As the title says, my dog slipped her leash in CVP and 4hrs of searching have yielded no results. If anyone is out there tomorrow and sees a golden retriever, her name is Ada and we'd be incredibly grateful to have her back.
Update: She's home safe. Thanks everyone for your concern and to all those who helped in the search. The community was incredible!
Back in October after 7 or so years of not having to travel for work, I rescued a standard poodle.
Now, surprise, I suddenly have to do some mandatory work travel.
Can anyone recommend a good boarding facility you have personally used?
I'm okay with something either in Baltimore County (I'm near Towson) or Baltimore City.
Did your Mom or Grandmother recently stop inside at Carroll Island McDonald's to grab food for you on her way home? Saturday Jan.18th around quarter after 6ish? More specifically a Big Mac, French fries and a large Sprite, a mobile order placed by a stranger (me)? And does her name happen to be Catherine? If so, please message me! I'd be more than happy to provide any other information. I sincerely only hope to just make sure she made it home safely tonight.
So my husband and I currently have three dogs and I may have been able to talk him into getting a fourth. However in Baltimore County it seems like there is a rule about only having three dogs. If I would want to get more I would need a fancier/kennel license. The thing is they make it difficult to find out if our zoning is allowed for this purpose (DR 5.5).
All of our dogs are licensed, fully up to date on shots, and see their vet very regularly.
Is this law actually enforced? Is it hard to get a permit? Does anyone have a clue if the zone I put above is even considered as an allowed zone?
