Hii... what are the ways i can reach dulles airport from JHU
(economical)
I learned from meeting with one of my faculty advisors that you don't get two degrees when you double major, rather it'd be your primary major degree with some kind of addendum like a "concentration in <second major> (not in those exact terms but you get the point). Are there any alums here who have graduated with a double major who can tell me more about what it looks like in more detail? This came up in our meeting because I was asking about choosing between CS B.A. and B.S., to which my advisor said the final degree doesn't make that distinction as it'd be counted as my second major.
as a BME student, I have to take this class called Cellular and Molecular Foundations, and I can't find anything online about what this class is exactly about, is it bio foundation, and what it is taught as in general if I wanted to start it now on YouTube or an online course. I kinda want to prep for it if it will be hard because I have other classes that I need to focus on!
thank you

I'm not sure where to ask this, but I thought if I can ask a questions related to Johns Hopkins, please help me here.
I know Sibley Memorial Hospital in NW Washington DC is a member of Johns Hopkins. Sibley Memorial Hospital has a surgery center in its building. The hospital employees and Hopkins medicine online my chart calls their surgery center as "Sibley Surgery Center" at 5215 Loughboro Road NW Basement Washington DC 20016-2618.
If I Google "Sibley Surgery Center", Google says "Johns Hopkins Surgery at Sibley" 5215 Loughboro Road NW Suite 150 Washington DC 20016.
Is "Sibley Surgery Center" in NW Washington DC a member of Johns Hopkins? Many thanks for any info you can share.
I took a political science course this semester with a professor known to be a tough grader, and I might end up with a B-. Since this class isn’t a major requirement or related to my molecular and cellular biology major, I’m considering taking it as S/U. Would that affect my chances for grad school admissions?
i am a freshman mol cell bio major currently taking intro to psych with chaz firestone and I am debating on whether I should take the class as pass fail. I am premed and i am not going to get an A in the class for sure. the highest i can get is an A- and B+ is highly likely, B is probable too. should i pass/fail in the class to maintain my gpa or should i take the A- or B+ in this class.
Does JHU have an Info Sci or Info System undergrad major?
If yes, what is it like? Is it coding heavy? Business heavy? Design heavy? I’d like to get into UI/UX so I’m wondering if this would be a good major.
How is the research there and also my goal is to go the graduate school there, is it truly the best and also is it worth the huge cost, my dad recently lost his job so that’s why
Can anyone in this program tell me more about this? How competitive is admissions and what’s it currently like? Thank you
Does johns hopkins offer early decision 1 and 2 for graduate programs namely MSE in Data Science?
Hey guys I just got admitted into Jhu and have been wondering would the mechanical engineering graduate school would be worth it? Would I need to take loans and pay for the college is it that good? I am just worried cause I am international student and I did not expect to get in and did get in soo have been confused if going there and paying for college would be good.
And does anyone know when can I switch to phd? Can I do it after one semester, change the program?
Thank you for the help!
Engineering freshman currently taking calc 2. My advisor kind of suggested I take LADE first and then calc 3 next fall (or take it over the summer) but calc 3 is more of the standard route. Calc 3 would be with Murilo Corato Zanarella and LADE would be with Mario Micheli or Aseel Titi. Any recommendations appreciated, thank you!
Does anybody got admit for JHU spring 2025
Title, im willing to buy it.
Basically what the title says. Ik you can get rejected from the program but into the main school but as an early decision applicant am I still required to attend.
are there amtrak discounts in general or from baltimore to va?
Are any current jhu students able to help me with a question I have about the application? Let me know and I’ll pm you. Thank you
I was planning on taking Bok's upper level (bioethics?) seminar on Philosophy and Disability, and I was wondering how hard of a grader she is, and generally how hard her upper levels are. I had her for Intro to Bioethics so I'm familiar with how she teaches, but assignments were graded by the TAs, and there's no TAs for this upper level.
I'm a sophomore, and I was wondering how hard it would be to get into Developmental Genetics Lab my sophomore spring during course registration.
I'm looking into taking some of the online masters mechanical engineering courses. I'm not actually planning to sign up for an actual program at this point, I just thought I might take one or two classes (if I can get work to pay for it). Has anyone done anything similar? If you've taken any of the classes, would you say you got alot out of them?
I'm debating going for a PHD in the future, so part of this would just to be to keep my brain working in school mode.
jsut asking if jhu wants a regular resume or an expanded one and how many pages it should be
I already made a post about this but here goes another one 🤦♂️😂. Anyone still waiting for their Spring 2025 decision? What’s taking forever?
It’s probably a long shot here but thinking about paying 350 usd for lost keys… let me just try my luck here.
If anyone have seen keys from 9East apartment around campus please hmu. It has keys + fob tied to a black hand band.
Lost on 24th Oct :(
Can anyone who have taken Computing the Transcriptome (taught by Dr. Pertea) share how the course goes? How does the workload look like compare with other upper CS courses (like Computational Genomics)? Thank you so much
I’m looking for a good driving school around Homewood. Any suggestions?
Any recommendations for the upper level cs courses this spring that are a good balance between rewarding and not too much stress? Considering explainable AI and human centered interactions. I've heard AI is easy but not rewarding. Also thinking about medical device cybersecurity and randomized data algorithms. The problem is all of those sound hard. But they sound cool. Has anyone taken these and knows if they're worth it?Thanks!
