@bluecitynews
You guys need to come at peace with that, and they won't sign any big names till at least the stadium is built!
The one thing that frustrates me about the team is how slow we are to sign new players. I see all these other teams bulking up and itâs crickets over here.
UPDATE: Well, we are closing the poll. We got the majority of our votes in the first day, but in the past two days we only received one additional vote. And so, with 84% the people have voted for some sort of ban to posts made on networks owned by Meta. Very little content from those social networks typically get posted here as is, so it should be a relatively small change for the community. By two votes, the plurality had voted in favor of an outright ban instead of allowing screenshots.
The moderators of /r/nycfc would like to thank everyone for their feedback and participation!
Hey everyone,
We're sorry this post has taken so long to come up. While we applaud the quick reactions of other subreddits on this issue, we wanted to ensure all of our moderators had a voice in the discussion before making a permanent action. But after receiving feedback from the mod team and our community on Discord, we have come to the decision that until further notice, all content linking to X, the site formerly known as Twitter, is no longer allowed on /r/NYCFC.
The only dissenting opinion we had on this decision was that X is the primary outlet the team uses to post information. As this subreddit is primarily dedicated to discussing that information, we have decided to allow screenshots of tweets for now. If a direct source containing the same information is linked in similar timing with a Twitter screenshot, the screenshot will be removed in lieu of the better source.
We are aware the club has reserved a handle on Bluesky, but has not yet made use of it. We actively encourage them to do so, as supporting a platform that encourages antisemitism is absolutely unacceptable in our view. Just as the club once removed extremists from match days, they must also be removed from our associated online presence.
While Elon Musk's nazi salute has been the catalyst for this change for many subreddits, we don't want to lose sight of those social networks who have made less public displays of far right movement. And so, we put it to the users of this subreddit, should Meta posts (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) be included in this ban? You can vote on this: here.
We will be updating AutoModerator to enforce these new rules as well as relaxing some others that have been less used.
Thanks everyone. We're all looking forward to successful season ahead. COME ON NEW YORK!
hi, Iâm a representative of AmerykaĹskaPiĹka, a Polish portal dedicated to USMNT and MLS (our site is https://www.facebook.com/amerykanskapilka). Every year, we publish a MLS guide, and this year it will be printed again. We've added a new theme to this yearâs guide because our plan is to interview passionate fans from each team about topics like matchday traditions, away days, tips on how to enjoy a match to the fullest, and include this in the guide. If we gather enough content, it will also be featured on the guide and our website. Here are the questions weâre asking:
My friend who is starting some NYCFC news page on instagram asked me to create a quick graphic for tomorrow. Iâm not the best at designing so just wondering what I should add or if itâs good how it is. Time isnât decided yet so Iâll add it tomorrow. His page is @BlueCityNews on insta
Itâs not like there not there you have 845nycfc, City Boyz, and you can even bring up peruchos. All these groups are pretty big so why doesnât NYCFC make them official? Are they just too lazy to handle that many supporter groups?
He wasnât seen in any photos and hasnât been many team content for a week.
Could be nothing
Or
Could be SOMETHING BIG
The club has started using the new badge on all social media content and communications. I know this is a touchy subject for some,I think maybe itâs time we change the subreddit photo to the new badge.
