Talk about anything and everything with fellow crew fans!
CBJ does an auction for every home game. Why don’t the Crew? As far as I’m aware they only auction the on our sleeves every year then Fanatics sells one set at the end of the year. This would be popular, no?
Obviously last night sucked. But at the end of the day, we played a great team. It was an extremely competitively match. And if those two teams played 10 times, I don't see either team winning more than 6 of the matches. They're extremely close, last night just happened to be America's night. We've won our share of trophies lately, so last night was someone else's turn. Tip your hat, say "good game", and move on.
But let's talk about the away fans, and how last night and next week will be completely different.
Last night was probably around 30-40% America fans in LDC. While I don't love it, I respect that many of those fans are diehard America supporters. I walked into the stadium with a CA fan who lives in Indianapolis, had grown up in MXC, and showed me pics of him attending games with his grandfather when he was a kid. Last night he was taking his own son to his first CA game. Gotta respect that kind of loyalty to their club, even when moving away. These are live-or-die supporters who follow their team everywhere. Love that.
Next Wednesday will be entirely different. We're going to see way too much pink in the stadium, regrettably. And 98% of those people wearing pink couldn't have named a single person on Miami's roster 18 months ago. Hell, most of them can't name 6 players on the CURRENT Miami roster. They're just bandwagon jumpers and celebrity worshippers. As soon as Messi leaves, they'll throw away that Miami shirt and never watch another Miami game. These are the absolute worst kind of sports fans. Let's not let them forget that next week.
Have we ever won a game when Nancy dresses nicely?
Edit: sorry, I can see how the title of this thread could be misleading. There hasn't been any new chants officially announced yet.
Hey everyone.
If you were at that match last night, then you know that our chants are lacking substance. When Club America fans started louder chants in Columbus, then we need to figure out a way to get more fans involved.
We need to add more substance to our player chants. Something more personal and thought out, rather than song parodies and going "oooooh, oooh, oooooh, oooh, COLUMBUS!"
So, drafted up some potential player chants. I sincerely hope that we may be able to collaborate and create new chants that are not only more personal to the players, but also drive fan connection. If you watch English soccer then you would see that they have a lot more personal songs that they've made for players, and a lot of the times give recognition to where the player is from.
I did not use ChatGPT or any generative AI for these, and I'm not an expert song writer, so if you have any good chant ideas, please share them!
Cucho:
From the mountains to the farms
We welcome with open arms
The fighting Columbian!
He's the Columbian man
He's a Columbian that can
Oh, Cu-cho, will you score again?
From the mountains to the farms
We welcome with open arms
Our fighting Columbian!
HE'S OUR COLUMBIAAAAN! HE'S OUR COLUMBIAAAAAN! GO CUCHO!
Rossi:
Look out! Beware! Of a man called Diego
He's fighting, and fighting, to put it in the goal
Relentless, and cool, make you look like a fool,
He's our man Diegooo, Diegoooo, ROSSI! ROSSI! ROSSI!
Diegooo, Diegoooo, ROSSI! ROSSI! ROSSI!
Christian Ramirez:
From the West to the East
Thought it might be neat
Taller than them all
Want to watch them fall
Always clutch in the end
THE TITLE WE DEFEND!
Christian, save us again!
Christian, save us again!
Patrick Schulte:
He's an American lad
Like many words we've had
SHULTE defends us from the bad!
From Missouri to Ohio
Sure to put on a smile
He's the best keeper we've ever had!
SCHULTE! SCHULTE! SCHULTE!
You sir, are my hero. A real banger of a national TV appearance!
In addition the CA goalie being off the line, pretty sure the hit off the post by Malte COULD have been in based on this angle at least. Why did we not have VAR?
Why wasn't there a foul called on Club America for barreling over Rossi in the penalty box. Could have swung the game.
Malte's shot was not on target by rule, so the kick wasn't retaken
Nothing to see here
-CONCACAF
Is it because Malte would have missed anyway?
That is all.
