Pep Guardiola vs Xabi Alonso
Hi, so I'm just a football fan. There is a question I wanted to ask people who do support Man City in particular though. Reports were coming in some weeks ago that City are actually the ones leading the race to hire Xabi Alonso next year. But then reports were coming in that Pep Guardiola might be open to extend his contract for at least one more year. Xabi Alonso is likely free next season and if City drops out of the race for him he will likely be gone by 2026. I guess my question is: would you rather have the current undisputed best coach in the world for 1 more year, or let the contract run out and pursue and potentially snap up the next big upcoming coach? Me personally I have no idea what I'd want if I was a fan so would love to hear some opinions.

Ticket Advice for UCL Match
Hello friends. Needing some ticket advice for a first-timer coming from the other side of the world. I have read the FAQ and done a fair bit of research before coming here.
I am hoping to attend the Nov. 26 UCL match vs. Feyenoord. I would prefer to sit in the first tier to be closer to the pitch but it’s not the end of the world if we sit a bit higher (my wife is also joining). Also, money is not a huge factor, but of course, I don’t mind saving where I can.
I’m between two options after deciding that I don’t want to risk any resell options:
Option 1) Purchase the matchday membership (£35) and wait to see what tickets become available
- there are some pretty low prices when looking up resale tickets (£30+) but not sure if this is a good way to predict ticket prices, and not sure if anything will even become available.
- note: I do not qualify for the current stipulations to buy tickets, which are currently limited to season ticket holders and Cityzen Matchday members that have been a member since August and have purchased 3+ home games. I’m also not sure when these tickets will reach general sale, assuming they do.
Option 2) Pay for tickets through a hospitality package (Joe’s Bar package at £85 each ticket directly on mancity.com or 93:20 Lounge through P1 travelers at £99 each ticket).
- These both have seats on the second tier, and I prefer to be seated closer and with the noisier crowd rather than people who aren’t really contributing to the environment. That’s obviously an assumption for who sits in these sections with padded seats.
Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated!
