I’m an LA Galaxy fan coming in peace, I always wondered (and it may sound dumb, but) do you also consider LAFC a rivalry as well, it’s usually never made a big deal compared to El Trafico and California Classico, and I wanted to hear what you think.
Nice to see a former player captaining his national team in their first Euros ever. Saw him on the broadcast today and didn’t realize he was still doing the dang thing for Georgia 🇬🇪
Hi everyone,
Austin FC fan in town for the summer. Tried to convince my wife and kid to go a game but they’re not interested.
Would love to attend the game with a local supporter - maybe from a supporters group? If you have an extra seat or can’t make the game yourself in your group, I’d love to go and wouldn’t mind a die hard telling me about the team, history, chants, fan mindset, and take part in pre game rituals!
Longshot but I’ve got no friends here and would love to see some soccer (in great weather at that!)!
First things first, the Earthquakes suck. The blame goes to the owner, then the coaching, and then to some players who shouldn't be playing professional soccer at all.
Yesterday at the match thread, I saw a lot of posts asking why people still go to PayPal Park. Here is my take on why PayPal will never be empty on match day:
Many of the people in attendance were Mexicans and we know soccer runs deep in Mexico. To them, this is a family night with the kids, and probably not concerned about Fisher or Luchi. They just wanna watch soccer.
There's also a lot of kids in attendance. Soccer is not exactly the most popular sport in the US so the fact the kids are still showing up is big and hoping it leads to more of them playing once they outgrew AYSO. Since the Ultras were not around to make noise, I heard a bunch of kids passionately chanting and pushing the players.
And there's me. I'm a military brat who grew up in Germany and I have more memories watching FC Kaiserslautern at Fritz-Walter-Stadion than anything else. I supported them when they got relegated to the third division and the stadium is always packed regardless. European football wired me to support my club despite having a dumbass like Fisher running it to the ground. Probably makes me a dumbass too but football is life I guess. I'm sorry if you feel like I'm contributing to Fisher's bullcrap.
Lastly, I wish we could force Fisher out but American sports is not built that way. It sucks. Fisher owns two historic teams that are currently the laughingstock of their respective leagues.
I asked him what he thought, and he just kind of looked at me, sadly, and shook his head a bit...
I recently attended a game and afterwards I got an email from PayPal Park asking me to complete an event questionnaire for 2 free tickets to a Quakes home game of my choice. I just filled it out and redeemed my tickets. Has anyone ever gotten these before? Not gonna complain, just wondering why I got this lol
Anybody know what are the new rates for next season?
Looking at about 21 points if we keep this up. And a league record 85 conceded.
You’ve never seen San Jose like this.
What a goal. Saw it live
Season Ticket Holders,
Please contact your ticket rep this week and turn off your auto renew on your subscription. Make the front office sweat that they are not going to get automatic revenue.
It was way past time. Hopefully change gives a spark!
Uhh yeah that is true but I don’t think that’s the message you’re trying to get across when you blast that all over the video board. I couldn’t take a picture because of driving by, but talk about being tone deaf. I’m a little sad now.
Hi! I lost my purse at the sj vs Cincinnati game on Saturday, it has all my cards and driver’s license. I have to catch a flight tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any info 🥲
Does anyone know if he’s hurt or what going on? I can’t find it anywhere
What’s everyone doing? How did Beason not just boot this out? He proceeds to throw his hands in the air and stop playing for being worried about a PK call. Play hard man. You don’t give up like that.
And I got nothing left to say to our “captain” your limp efforts are now widely understood.
Also I’d like to submit my resume for coach. I’ve been playing FIFA for over 10 years. I think I’d do a better job
For those who haven't seen, their statement from last night is at https://sanjoseultras.com/2024-statement/
We have sought resolution to an outstanding issue regarding relations between our group and the FO. Our patience has now run out. We believe the furtive handling of this situation demonstrates a lack of good faith and possible ulterior motives. This is unacceptable and we have decided to meet your silence with silence to urge a more timely resolution of this situation. We don’t expect preferential treament, but we do expect fairness. We believe we deserve at least a fraction of the respect we have shown to this organization for over two decades. We wish the best to our players, and we believe they have what it takes to turn this season around.
Over the years there have been several times when they've sat silent for some portion of a game as a protest, but I don't remember it ever getting so bad that they skipped a game entirely. Does anyone know what the FO did this time?
Pelligrino was the Golden Boot winner last season and helped his former club win the Eliteserien title which qualifies them for the Champions League. Lopez’s helped his former club qualify for this year’s Copa Libertadores.
Now they're both playing for a bottom-dwelling team with Luchi and Fisher running the team.
