It’s been almost 10 weeks since I applied and my benefits have been under fact checking. Should I call the office tomorrow(monday)to see what’s up? Recently I had to quit my job in Kentucky(I really didn’t want to I miss that job) to move back to California due to the health of a family member. I’m worried this will still disqualify me from the benefit and I’m really struggling, I went from working 45 hours a week to 11 hours a week here in cali for a part time job despite being promised more hours. But I really rely on that back pay considering I currently sleep on the floor of the family members house without a bed. I have not received a rejection mail so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.
Im looking to go to a school for Aerospace Engineering, and I cant decide between UK and WKU.
Originally I was going to go to EKU, but was told by the director of aviation that they don’t actually offer Aerospace Engineering (despite being told otherwise by the transfer council and admissions…)
Im trying to go to whichever is cheapest. I can most likely go to either one, just trying to figure out which one is cheaper.
The boat is the Falls City. It ran between Valley View, KY and Louisville on the Kentucky and Ohio Rivers. I'm assuming this drawing is on the Kentucky considering the relatively sharp turn.
I'm wondering about the location and identity of the castle-like building. Prison? School? Castle? Distillery? And is it still there?
Thanks!
I bought a car from my sister, she has an Ohio title with a Kentucky address on it that she received from the dealership when she bought it.
She never transferred the car into Kentucky and the car sat until I bought it, I was unaware her license is suspended and she's since lost it and is very difficult to communicate with.
Does anyone know what the options would be for getting the vehicle into my name? She has no photo id and is difficult to deal with
Hi there,
I'm doing some research on Kentucky and its interests as part of a work campaign, and I found myself on a tangent after vaguely remembering watching a show where a girl from KY said cheerleading was a big thing there. Is cheerleading big in Kentucky? Is it a popular activity, or am I just misremembering it? Are there any other sports or activities you feel like a very popular within Kentucky, specifically?
Or are there other activities that are more preferred?
My local library system has a program called “drop your drawers“
Maybe your library has a program like this.

I want to make a beef wellington to serve serve people. I'd need a center cut beef tenderloin, around 3lbs and 4 inches in diameter, give or take. Problem is, that cut is the filet mignon, and most who process their beef cut it into the filets rather than sell the whole tenderloin.
I've checked with some local farmers, and the ones I've asked say they don't sell the whole tenderloin. I haven't had luck with the big box chains like Meijer, Kroger, or Walmart unless I'm exceptionally blind.
So who in Kentucky would you recommend?
I'd like to change my white plate to a black plate by getting the "friends of coal" license plate. On the KY website you can choose plate types but it requires you to personalize it with customer letters/numbers.
How do I keep my current plate number but just change the plate type?
Hi all, I'm in Louisville for the week. I'm 25 f and have no clue what to do or where to go for fun. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
I'm building a campsite in Butler County for Airbnb and Hipcamp. I called the courthouse to ask about building codes, and was informed that Butler County has no building codes.
That doesn't really make sense to me, so I'm asking you guys.
Hi all. We’re looking at tent camping at Nolin Lake next April and I’m struggling to find good information online. I am on the state park website and I see their map but it really isn’t helpful. I’m hoping someone who has been to the park can recommend two sites side by side in the primitive camp area that would be suitable for five adults, three children and possibly four tents. Also, would this number qualify for the group camp site? If I could just rent one spot instead of two it would be great. Any information, links, etc would be helpful.
Note: I know there are other places and parks but this one is dead center for everyone attending plus it has a shower which was an important selection for part of the group. So, I can’t entertain other park suggestions at this time.
Thanks in advance for any help and guidance.
In the video I have of it, these small lights were moving and not making any noise. My family and I have never seen this before and we don’t know what it could be.
Did anyone hear about this? Apparently it happened nearly 2 years ago..
EDIT: WDRB took down the full video with audio that was originally at this link. If anyone can find it let us know, I'll add to this post.
Taking this in a few days, what should I expect on this test?
Just wondering what Kentucky’s law on this is-
I just did a mobile order for supper, and included a tip in the final payment.
I didn’t notice until I was reviewing my email confirmation that they charged a tax on the tip. There was also the sales tax which I understand.
Up until now, I’ve never noticed that I’ve had to pay a tax for paying a tip. Has it always been like this? Is this allowed under Kentucky law?
Hey y'all, my wife will be an immigrant to our lovely state. I was talking to my papa and he said "get them a book on Kentucky."
My question is what book should I get? I'm thinking of something general about history and geography. Any and all recommendations are appreciated!
Edit: Thank you for all the great responses!!
I've come across this page a few times while searching for helpdesk jobs. The group is called "Kentucky Professional Group" and they claim to be a job agency for small to mid sized companies in Kentucky. Has anyone used their services or have secured a job through them here? The website does seem a little bit shady and the job postings don't ever say which company it's for. I am pulling my hair out trying to find a job in any tech related field and I am currently going to school for Information Technology, so if you also have any recommendations for any jobs, let me know. I come from the Maysville, KY region.
Hey guys might be a dumb question but I'm from out of state and moved up towards cynthiana.. I am looking to find a bank down here to transfer my money from back home. What are some odlf the better banks here?
I came home from work and saw how pretty the skies were. The clouds were pink.
I need input from fellow Kentuckians on the pronunciation of burgoo. My family from the Owensboro area has always pronounced it bur-gue, the ‘ue’ being pronounced the same way eww is pronounced. So like, burr-gew. The way we pronounce it I thought for a long time it was spelled burgue.
I’ve found though that most people seem to pronounce the ‘oo’ the same way you would in goo or two.
Does anyone else use the pronunciation my family does or know anything about the history of the pronunciation?
