My (son's) car died in bowling green. We are back home in PA. But the car is still there and needs to be sold for scrap....any company recommendations?
I own land in Bowling Green and plan to move to the area and build a home.
I've got plans from an architect already, approximately 3700 square feet, but the first estimate I got from a local builder seems a little on the high end considering I already own the land. He quoted me around $200/sq.ft.
Is this number accurate or high? I'm hoping to land somewhere around $170 or lower. Any recommendations on builders?
Thanks in advance!
Where are the most affordable places to take a broken phone? I have a damaged charging port and some cracks. Looking not to get shaken down too hard. Thanks!
Hey Bowling Green!
I’m so sad I’ll be leaving town by Friday. I’m here on work and have thanksgiving and Friday off. I am from way out west and never really travel, and even just being mainly confined to my hotel— being in this city around thanksgiving has been one of the best experiences of my life! The neighborhoods around basil griffin park felt like I was in a movie. Everything here is so peaceful and people seem to live in the best of both worlds— the old homey southern town life with every creature comfort and city life just a few minutes away. I absolutely love it here.
Anyway, I really want to know what some cool historical sites are! I’ve looked online but everything seems to be tours and such. But I wanted to see some of the more obscure things, such as the Old Union Cemetery where I might be able to see a grave from the 1700s, anything pioneer related, Native American, spots along the river that are not tourist sites. Especially since it’s thanksgiving I don’t think I can go anywhere that needs to be ‘open’ to visit.
Would really appreciate some ideas!! Thanks everyone.
Does anyone remember a place in Greenwood Mall in Bowling Green called "things Remembered " it had some cool gifts. There was a lady there named Judy. Anyone remember?
I feel like I’ve got to be doing something wrong or looking in the wrong places, because I can find absolutely nothing in the way of buses that could take me, there aren’t even any flights from BG to Memphis as far as I can tell. There’s got to be something. This is such a bizarre situation I’ve found myself in.
We have too many now. I liked it better when there were 0 Brews
I’m a 18 year old guy who’s just wanting to make friends. Is there any place where I could at least find some?
I'm trying to get transgender hormones from Graves Gilbert Clinic and I wanted to know if anyone here had some experience with that. I currently have appointments scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of December, but I'm worried the whole process will take a long time with them
Can anyone recommend a good jeweler in BG that resizes rings? It's got a really thin band and might require a little extra expertise.
Hello all! I'm trying to get a book club started to connect with my fellow BG nerds. Below you'll find information about the club. Join the FB group if you're interested. In there is where we'll figure out the meeting time and place.
About the book club:
If you’re anything like me, sometimes you get stuck in a comfort zone with your books. There’s that one author you can’t stop obsessing over, or you have that one genre you just love and never stray from. Maybe you only read American authors or authors with experiences similar to your own. Which is all wonderful! But hear me out: Approximately 500,000 to one million new books get published annually. With so many options, it’s easy for us to miss out on some hidden gems that we’d normally overlook.
Diverse Readers of BG is about:
For 2025, we’ll be selecting books with intention to match the prompts below:
For each prompt, we’ll provide three books to vote for. Members are welcome to nominate books, too. We’ll meet on the first Sunday of each month to discuss the previous month’s book, starting on February 2nd to discuss January’s book.
If you're interested, please join the Facebook group linked below.

We are finalizing the details for the Southern Kentucky Outdoor Adventure Expo May 10th & 11th at the NCM Motorsports Park.
Our goal is to showcase the rich outdoor sports and recreational opportunities in the Southern Kentucky and Northern Tennessee area, and to highlight local vendors and service providers. We're looking for partners in a variety of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, RVing, motorcycles, boating, paintball, ATV's and more. There will be a large vendor area, workshops, demonstrations, kids adventure zone and much more.
Plus, the NCM Motorsports Park will have their go kart track open and if you are really feeling adventurous schedule some lap time on the track in one of their Corvettes.
Something for the entire family.

Hi everyone! I'm planning to move from Las Vegas to Bowling Green within the next couple of months with my cat, and am looking for a place to stay for a month or two until I can afford to start a lease elsewhere. I don't have much to move with, so affordable options are definitely preferred.
To give a bit of background on myself, I'm a 19 y/o female college student with my CNA license, and I have one female cat I'm bringing with me, who's very shy and probably won't leave our room for that reason. I love adventures in the outdoors, as well as reading and cross-stitching! :)
If you know of anyone that can help us find a low-cost temporary housing, or have any other advice, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
So here it goes we currently have been trying to find any like 2 bed apartments or anything around the area really!! My credit is in the water sadly "bankrupt" and we're stuck with these roommates and we have zero privacy and literally have had just several things happen that we mentally can't handle they just constantly watch us and always seem to wanna listen in on our business they argue daily about the most stupid crap ever! There side of the house is always a mess and yes they have a child I get kids make messes we're parents too and not to mention they are "transphobic" af and me and my husband are Transgender so... Yeah it's been rough but if anyone has anything available we have cash to put down on a deposit as well too we're just trying to work and live our life without judgement so no hate comments please!!! Thank you
Hello all. We've just moved to bowling green this week and we've heard that trash pickup prices are pretty steep. We'd like to take our trash somewhere ourselves. I've heard kenway may take it but I'm not sure if they'll take residential trash rather than big items. Where's the cheapest place I can take it? Recommendations? Thank y'all.
For a little background, I am from Michigan. I am used to being in the medical and recreational weed industry. In fact, I have worked in a government regulated environment in that industry as well. Being from a legal state, every kind of cannabis is just straight up the same thing. The good stuff if you will. I'm not used to these Delta eight or Delta nine cannabinoid derivatives. I honestly haven't done much research on them, but if they are low risk, I'd like to explore some options around here. Some of that is for medical reasons. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on certain shops, certain products, certain brands, etc. Not looking for flower just looking for edibles, cartridges, maybe things like that.
currently with Varo Bank which is online but they’re having a glitch in their system saying everyone is overdraft/negative balance on their accounts. looking for something either local or just in town and trustworthy and professional
What’s y’all’s opinion on a good laptop repair place in town?
What are the best bars in BG to meet ppl/go out that aren’t all undergrads in Bowling Green?
Hi All! I have plans to visit the episcopal church. Any other churches in Bowling Green not hardcore Trump land? 😅 Too scared to ask this on Spotted in Bowling Green on Facebook. 🫠
Hello, I'm new in town. I am from Las Vegas, NV. I was wondering if there are any hippie groups? Like, sounds baths, reiki, crystal shops. In Vegas on the second Saturday we went out to the dry lake bed and had drums circles! It is a family and no hate or judgment allowed.
If there's anything like that out here ?
I am also looking for a job. It doesn't have to be spiritual related.
I saw someone ask in the Bowling Green KY Girls Facebook page but the post instantly got dog-piled with Trumpers and then I think removed because I couldn't comment. I work 12s at a job that is a serious maga echo chamber/circle jerk. I need a break!
Hello I’m a film maker at WKU and I am helping produce another students short film that takes place in a office space.
I’ve done some searching myself but if anyone could point me in the direction of an office building that would be lovely 😊
I would like to learn more about the faith. Are there any in or around the area?
Traditionally Baptist but have visited some Church of God, are there any churches around here where the pastor gets excited to preach the word of God? Where they get loud and grab your attention? I want you to tell me about a place called Hell and what the wages of sin are. Seems every church I’ve listened to around the area just has very calm and boring services and just teach health, wealth, and prosperity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! I studied abroad in France and Germany a few months back and have some leftover euros that I was hoping to exchange back to USD. So far, I can’t find anything online about banks in BG that do foreign currency exchanges. Does anyone know of somewhere I can get that done? Thanks in advance!!!
