I am an avid artist who will be going to NKU in the fall. However as I was doing the orientation, they mentioned not being allowed to listen to earphones or be on a cell phone. I want to ask all students if that is really enforced or not. Because I most definitely will be using time in gen Ed’s to draw and grow my twitter account, as that is most necessary for my future.
TLDR; Hungry artist wondering if the professors at this school will be giving me a hard time. It’s not like I won’t use my phone in class. It’s just a question of whether it will be without argument or not
Hello, I'm an upcoming freshman in Northern Kentucky University for fall 2022. I'm looking for a roommates and apartment near NKU (preferred girls) if anyone is interested, can you please dm me. Any leads will be highly appreciated.

Hey guys, as of 10 minutes ago I was a high schooler with a 4.0, but I just took a finals test in a Dual Credit Class through a college that brought me down to a B. I know that that will effect my highschool gpa, but will NKU see it on a student college transcript? If I retake it to get an A will they still see the B? How badly is this B going to effect me whenever I apply to colleges (mainly NKU) next year. (I’m a junior) Please help me out if you know anything
Does anyone have experience with this? I'm thinking about transferring here from BCTC. I'm interested in double majoring in general business and in history I have an associates in arts so all of my gen eds are covered and I'd be coming in with about 5 history classes so 15ish credit hours just in history. Anyone do something similar to this and can tell me how it went?
Hey guys, anyone in here ever take summer classes? I was interested in taking them this summer so I can accelerate my degree progress. What can I expect and where can I find more info about class availability? Thanks! :)
Does any NKU student have a Gameboy Advance or GBA SP with Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green, and GBA Link Cord? I need to evolve a couple of pokemon that can only be evolved through trading.
Hello! I am a humble student from Oakland University that is in need of some assistance. I am participating in scavenger hunt, and one of the items is to "sneak OU merch onto Northern Kentucky University's campus." We use an app to submit our evidence.
I was wondering if any NKU student would be willing to join our team on the app and submit a video of them waving some OU stuff on their campus? This would be very appreciated, and I would love you forever. If so, I can PM you for more details.
I am switching over from the school of informatics to the school of business. Any suggestions as to which advisor I should choose to meet with for the next 4 years?
Hi all! I am new to this sub. I play Pokémon Go around campus a lot, but raiding is hard for me without a group. I was just seeing if anyone in this sub plays and would want to form a raid group with me. :)
So I’ve been waiting for my transfer award to post so that I’d get my student refund (which is a first for me), and I emailed Financial Aid this morning and they said they’d have to forward my information to a Specialist because my award hasn’t posted yet. Anyone else ever have this happen? That’s what I get for being hopeful about this return thing I guess 😂
Free textbook. cutnell and Johnson, Physics. 10e. pick up on campus.
Anyone know if there's a hot water dispenser from a coffee maker or something anywhere on campus? For tea or ramen or anything. I don't think there's one in SU.
If I just dropped a class before the semester starts, when would that change be reflected on my account statement? Would I have to contact someone in Administration about getting that partial tuition dropped from my account balance?
anyone know of an easy FOK Self & Society or Global Viewpoints class?
Son:Dad im hungry Dad:hi hungry im dad Son:are you serious? Dad:no im dad
Didn’t NKU get enough of my money? Must they really pay freshmen to call and beg for donations? Does the administration really not understand that I’m still paying the government back for it after graduating 4 years ago?
Does anyone know when the parking garage gates open for the night? I know they open sometime late and don’t close again until the morning but I was wondering if anyone knew the exact times!
I'm collecting some information about food on campus and simply how much we spend on food. If you would be so kind in filling this out, it'd be great!
hey all, im currently a sophomore at northern kentucky university and im looking to move off campus this summer. unfortunately, most of my friends already have their roommate situations figured out and i am unable to move home this summer anyways. im looking for someone who needs an apartment starting in May 2019. One person is fine, but two friends/previous roommates who would be willing to share a room is super ideal (wishful thinking, i know.) i am super chill as a roommate, and i will totally, 100% respect your privacy and boundaries (I have heard roommate horror stories so this is super important to me.) as far as location goes, im wanting to stay near campus for as cheap as possible, but i have a good steady job and i am always open to other ideas/suggestions. feel free to contact me if this is of any interest to you, or if you know someone who may be interested in this situation. thanks!
I am an intern with the conference this year and I am here to share this opportunity to get academically published in a journal:
The Religious Studies Student Organization of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee cordially invites undergraduates and select Masters students in your program to participate in the Seventh Annual Religious Studies Research Conference. This year the conference will be held on April 13th, 2019 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm, at the Hefter Center, on 3271 North Lake Drive.
Selected papers will be published online, on Digital commons, and the student will be given the opportunity to present their research in an academic setting, to work closely with a mentor, and to improve their prospects for employment and further study.
Submissions from all academic disciplines are welcomed and encouraged, however papers should have an emphasis on religious practice or belief. Presenters should ensure they avoid promoting or belittling any one particular religion. Presenters will also be required to choose a faculty mentor to help direct them in the process of writing the paper and preparing to present it at the Conference. Each paper is allotted 15 minutes for presentation followed by 10 minutes for questions. Participation in the Conference includes complimentary breakfast and lunch for the presenters.
Registration for the Conference can be done by submitting a three-hundred-word abstract to uwm.rsso.conference@gmail.com. by March 8rd, 2019.
Here is the poster for this years event: https://imgur.com/a/t9bNzCW And our academic journal, which is part of the UWM Digital Commons journal library collection, where past years presentations have been published: https://dc.uwm.edu/rsso/
I am also happy to provide any additional verification to the moderators upon request. This is a great opportunity and I hope to see some of you guys in Milwaukee!
I just got my acceptance letter and I’ve filed my fafsa. How long is the typical turnaround before financial aid info gets sent out? I’d like to know if I’m getting any sort of assistance before I start looking at loans.
Anyone looking at their online MSN programs or currently enrolled?
