I developed a horrible toothache Thanksgiving. I made an emergency dental appointment for this morning (Monday) with a local dentist. I thought a filling had fallen out and was completely unprepared when the dentist told me the tooth was fractured and had to be removed. I signed the necessary paperwork regarding financial responsibility (I don't have insurance). He gave me the numbing shot. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. After he finished I seriously contemplated leaving and making an appointment with an oral surgeon. I SHOULD HAVE. It was the most horrible experience. At one point the assistant told me not to scream or make noises as it frightened the other patients (WTF??). I have been crying for hours about the whole situation. I have a gaping hole in my mouth that is big enough for multiple teeth to be removed. The assistant never introduced herself or told me what was going on at any given time. The dentist was brusque and unkind. I was alone, helpless, and afraid and I didn't even receive fake comfort. They carried on a conversation about his son who is sick while operating on me. The whole trauma was just that: traumatic. I've never had a tooth pulled before and had no idea what was happening or options or anything. If you need a tooth pulled - please go to an oral surgeon. You are a FREE MAN and can pick someone better than I did. I feel violated. I was still shaking two hours after I left the office. Right now I can't even imagine going to any dentist for even a cleaning.
What business would you like to see in Paducah?
Any competition in any current industry you’d like to see? Or something new to the area that is a regular in more populated cities?
Hello everyone! Me and my boyfriend are looking at a home on Butler Lane. can anyone tell me if the area is decent?
I’m a long term Paducah resident, 20 year old male that’s into fitness, manga, and really just anything nerdy. LGBT and 420 friendly. Would love to have some more friends in the area, hmu.
What business is going in on Lone Oak just south of Hank Bros? It looks like a car wash but I don't know if there's room for the vacuums and such.
Hey, I'm moving to Calvert City area & wondering what carrier has the best cell service around Paducah/LBL?
'If anyone finds a Ford truck key, attached to A Dothraki Keychain at Noble Park'
Hit me up if you run across it. Friend lost it.
Hey all, I’m native to West KY, but my girlfriend is from Florida. We’re visiting family soon and I was wanting to propose to her somewhere secluded. She’s not one for big, fancy, dramatic proposals. I was thinking Shawnee Forest, but I’m not sure if they’d be open in early December. I’m just trying to find a place that is memorable. Thanks in advance!
Spill the beans if you can.
They already failed my first and only delivery (so far) from there.
Does anyone use dating apps in this area? I’m on tinder and bumble but all of my matches are like 50 miles away. What are people using in Paducah to meet people?
I hate Paducah. I really do. I'm trapped here. In the past 10 years, I've lost 5 jobs (lay-offs or contract terminating). I'm highly educated and experienced but almost no one is hiring or they only want fresh out of college so they can pay less. My master's degree was apparently a waste of money.
And why do all the men only want 20 year old, 100 lb, airheads? And why is the duck is ghosting always their exit strategy??? I'm going to stab the next man who tells me he'd never ghost me in the eye with my pencil. Goddammit. Man up and say you're not interested. If men ever say they'd never do something -- that's exactly what they will do.
I bought some hooker heels this past weekend thinking I might actually have to put a red light bulb on the front porch but then I realized no one is interested in an old broad even she has ample cleavage.
No, I'm looking for your 'helpful advice.' I just needed to jettison this anger and frustration. I can only laugh at this point and know that my purpose in life is to make the Goddess laugh. I serve my purpose well. You'll excuse me now, I have a date with my BOB.
Edit: a couple folks have messaged that they checked with no luck. I will call parks and rec again tomorrow and see if it turned up. Thank you for trying!
We drove through your lovely city on a road trip yesterday and I'm pretty sure we left my daughter's pink Yeti water bottle covered in stickers (some with sentimental value to a 7year old) on a park bench near the south side playground at Bob Noble park. I bet its still sitting there but I'm now a 5 hour drive away. Anyone happen to be in the area and could sneak a peek? I'd be happy to paypal/venmo you to mail it back to me. Already called parks and rec and they didnt have it in lost and found.
I know its silly but we moved last year and a lot of those stickers were gathered in our old hometown, and she's pretty upset about it. Thanks for your help with my wild goose chase (hopefully the bottle is not on the goose island!)
Hiii so I'm just a silly little cosplayer here who was wondering if anyone else is showing up to this con?
Why do they delete every unfavorable comment on social media? This year DOES have very few actors and the price IS high for a lackluster experience but every time it’s mentioned, the comment is deleted immediately. I do understand the lack of actors. I’m actually glad teenagers are waking up to the fact that working for free isn’t worth their time and effort, all to make a rich family richer. I just think it’s insane that I’ve been silenced by them after sharing my bad experience. Also, my words were said carefully and politely. I was not rude at all.
Just seeing what people have paid for creating a will and power of attorney documents. I'm trying to determine what I should expect to pay an attorney in Paducah. Thanks!
Is there anywhere in town that still has indoor rock walls? I joined the pac last year and saw them taking down the rock walls and I assumed they were renovating or something, but they're still gone.
Hey! My wife and I are leftist (eco-socialist and anarcho-communist) and relocating to Paducah next month. We would love to know about any opportunities to help serve our community and grow together. We have alot of organizing and community care experience plus an endless amount of love and solidarity.
Heyooo, sorry this sounds lame ash. Im a 20M and Just found out My baby mother cheated on me and my family is destroyed now. My ex was toxic and would never let me go out and hang with friends and over the years, i lost alot of the closest homies ive ever had because of it. Now i have nobody and just want to start getting out there and meeting new people again but i dont even know where to start in Paducah. Ill be 21 soon so bar suggestions are welcomed as well as anywhere you recommend. Thanks in advance
What is the average price in the area for a nice rental house 3bed 2bath? I’m seeing prices range from $1,500-$1,900 a month. Asking because I don’t want to overpay if I don’t have to.
Hi, My wife and I are looking for a lot/land to park our RV and future trailer/tiny house. We would like to be within city limits if possible. We are also open to rent to own houses too!
Looks like they changed all of the staff including the manager.
Must be a story there.
Seriously, there's no need to panic-buy toilet paper. The port strikes aren't going to affect the TP supply. Don't be crazy.
I'm coming back home to visit family for Christmas and I'm looking for things to do while we are there (last week in December). My kids are mostly grown, and my elderly grandmother will be in tow with us wherever we go.
I know we will hit Noble Park for the lights, but that's really all I can think of. The parade is Dec 5th and I couldn't find any events on the Paducah travel site for the few days before Christmas.
I also understand it's 3 months til, so events might not be fully scheduled out yet.
Y'all have any suggestions on things to do around the area? I don't mind going south to Mayfield or even up into southern Illinois. I live in Houston so I'm used to hour drives haha.
