Hello! There are two specific things I’m concerned about for when I add my previous SSD to my new system:
Easy AntiCheat completely stopped working with my last PC, and the games I tried to play that utilize it were on the SSD. With all brand new hardware, will it carry this issue with it, or no?
My last PC stopped ‘working’ likely due to a damaged graphics card from unsafe travel that caused crashes and inevitably stopped displaying to any monitors/screens. The last thing I did on it was install something onto the SSD that had small potential to give me a virus. I don’t think I did get one, but I also don’t want to bring it to this new PC if there is one. I was thinking about booting up the PC without it first, getting an antivirus installed on it, and then adding the old SSD and scanning everything. Is this recommended?
Thank you in advance!!
Hi guys, i found this strange bug on my keyboard.. the key for accented u does not work.
I'm Italian and everything on the pc is in Italian, keyboard layout and also the base language.
Every other accented key works perfectly, i can make these: àèìò, but the u does not work.
The weird thing is that if i press that key + shift it works perfectly and i can make this §§§§§.
I didnt' manage to find anything online, can someone help me out in this reddit??
THANK U <3
I’m just wondering if I just got really unlucky or it’s common for refurbished computers to be broken, I managed to return it and get my money back, but I just want to know
for my 14900KF, can I use Thermal Grizzly contact frame ? and, can I remove fans and put NZXT rgb fans? and, can rgb be turned off ?
was restarting my Acer C24-1650 AIO PC when this came out, kinda shocked but idk what caused this, it says DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE what should I do to avoid this? or even fix? this is my first time
My internet is working fine I get emails I can stream from apps. But when I pull up new websites I get site can’t be reached. I trouble shoot and it says the site isn’t responding but I’ve tried ten different sites. Any help would be appreciated.
What are some silly phrases, euphemisms, or names for things, that would make good passwords? Something like “465Lord$Nibbles$The$Mighty!”
It's a 12-15 yo LG tv.
Having looked online for a while I've looked through various budget gaming laptops. Need one with 16GB RAM or 8GB but upgradable easily, processor minimum of Ryzen 5 5600H minimum GPU capabilities of a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, preferably 216GB of SSD storage but I can replace that and a minimum of 4.0 GHz of CPU speed, 1080p. 2USB ports is fine as I will only be using a mouse because I dont mind laptop keyboards.
Hi!
I’ve been debating between Professional Workstation GPUs (like the RTX A4000) and Customer GPUs (like the RTX 4070 Ti).
Since Customer GPUs support up to 8 concurrent encoding sessions, I'm fine with that.
https://developer.nvidia.com/video-encode-and-decode-gpu-support-matrix-new
However, I recently saw a discussion saying that customer GPUs don’t have direct access to the framebuffer in VRAM and can’t copy it to NVENC. This feature is called NVFBC (NVIDIA Frame Buffer Capture), and even though you can get it on customer cards with a patch, there’s no software to manage it. This might use more resources and drop performance by about 10-15%.
Is this true? Does anyone have insights on this?
Hi,
I’m mainly an Apple user so have very limited knowledge for pcs my boss is looking for a desktop for £400/500 that can handle light photoshop and Lightroom use from a main seller dell, Lenovo etc
Any advise would be really helpful! 😀
It’s on a Dell Optiplex Nano. Looks like a mini HDMI but it’s too wide.
Does anyone have an estimated price for this (slightly used) build?

My elderly uncle has two pc towers. One is more up to date, the other not so much. The newer one is up and running but he needs to access the older one. Is there a way I can turn the older one into a type of external hard drive so I don't have to get a new keyboard and mouse (the new pc uses wireless mouse and kb)? I'd rather him use the newer pc to access the older one. Sorry, I have no info on the pc specs
Hi guys, i built a PC with a Ryzen 5 7600x and i noticed that my mobo has two CPU PWR connectors (8+8), should i connect both or one it's fine? (in the bios it's all default, with AMD Game Boost and EXPO Enabled with the default MOBO Profile).
Also i noticed that when i turn on the PC, before booting the mobo has the CPU and DRAM led on, and as you can see in the video, the CPU Fan starts spinning after some seconds..in game the temps are good, no heat issues.
Also when i turn on the PC, all the Fans are at the default speed, but i changed it in the bios, always after some seconds, they go at the speed i set.
thank you in advance and sorry for bad grammar.
As mentioned in title, my adapter settings are constantly returning from 1000/1000mbps to 100/100mbps. My network card supports 1Gbps and i have option in Speed and duplex to put 1GBps. But no matter what i do, everytime when i restart a pc or turn it off it will go back to 100/100mbps. Pulling out cable from modem or pc will reset connection and it will stay 1Gbps until i turn off pc or restart it. Any solution?
Im looking for a very good gaming laptop to replace my old one of 7 years and it must be a laptop since im on the move a lot so a PC will be a pain. My budget is £1300 and £1500 at a stretch, it needs to be able to handle high graphics, have good connectivity, last long (years it will still be good), and whatever else is important for a gaming laptop to perform well i don’t really mind things like weight and it preferably has to have a large screen nothing small, sorry for any mistakes my english is rusty
“Table 'smf_sessions' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
Is this an issue on my end or with the website?
I got this little Dell OptiPlex 3080 out of a storage unit I bought. (I did an earlier post about washing it as it was filled with critter poop. Only failure so far was the RAM chip). Anyway, I am back to trying to get it to run. Seems to start up to the enter password screen. Obviously I don't know it and just wish to do a fresh install (downloading Win11 at the moment). I don't know anything about bitlocker or Win11. Is there anything that would prevent me from getting this up and running? Or will it brick itself.
So, first off, out the gate, specs.
I am running an MSI machine from Costco, which has;
13th gen i7-13700F 12 core 2.10Ghz processor
32gb DDR4 RAM 2400
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB
1TB MSI m.2 SSD
6TB Seagate HDD
2TB Western Digital HDD
My monitors are, frankly, several TVs I've been using since 2016 and 20120, respectively. My two side monitors are 40" 1080P 60hz Samsung TVs, not smart just your basic "this is TV" screens set up in portrait orientation, both bought in 2016. They're hooked up via Displayport>HDMI. My main monitor is a 42" 4k TCL Roku TV, 60hz, run via 4k HDMI cable, HDMI>HDMI, set up in landscape. I purchased it in 2020, just before Covid hit.
Most of the time, it's totally fine, no problems. Not a high end setup, no super low latency, but I play RTS games and Minecraft, I write, I do 3D furniture design for woodworking, it's mostly a workstation with some moderate gaming use. It works just fine for my needs, and I don't need an expensive gaming monitor. However, occasionally, when I'm web browsing, the middle screen will go black for one, maybe two seconds, then blink back on, but ONLY when I'm web browsing. I was going to swap the cable, thinking maybe the cable I got was cheap or damaged or something, and couldn't handle the bandwidth, but the cable I got for it had a 90 degree end that turned in the wrong direction and wouldn't fit. When I inspected the old cable, it seemed just fine, no damage at all, and it worked just fine on my PS5 to my 75" Sony Bravia, no problems after a few hours of gaming, so I don't think it's a damage or bandwidth issue with the cable.
Any guesses? Would it possibly be a settings issue? Is it the cheap TVs for monitors? Any other things I can try? It's not necessarily a deal breaker, but it does get sort of irritating if I'm researching a part for a novel and it blinks off in the middle of reading something.
Specifically this one is failing. When I connect my pc to a different one it's fine. It's worth noting that the part of the building that failing port is located is newer than the rest of the house and the wiring is different. Any clues?
Well as you see the window comes like this sometimes on other apps as well and I don't know why or how to stop it can someone help me?
Hello everyone,
I'm seeking some advice on how to manage high CPU temperatures on my Intel i9-14900K, which is currently cooled with a Lian Li Galahad II 360mm AIO. Despite my efforts to optimize the cooling setup, I'm still experiencing high temperatures, especially during stress tests like Cinebench, where temps can spike up to 100°C.
Here's what I've done so far:
System Specs:
Despite these efforts, the CPU occasionally hits 100°C during peak loads, which is concerning.
