I have checked the ASUS website for this board where the CPU support is listed, and I see that this CPU was validated on BIOS version 0303, I also see CPUs like the Ryzen 5 5500GT which say they were validated since BIOS version 2803. Since I expect version 0303 came out a few years ago, should I expect to receive a bios version newer than this on arrival of the Asus PRIME B550M-A WIFI II in 2024?
How does the gpu in default achieve 2900+ MHz while Asus states 2535Mhz?
My friend and I have same PC specifications and both PC's show up with these clock speeds
Is this normal/bad behavior?
Hi, so basically this will be my first laptop. The specs are i5-1235u 16gb ram , also comes with 120hz screen which is quite nice. The only thing I'm worried is the display because it's 3.2k (3200 x 2000) resolution. Can I downscale to like 1440p or 1080p if so will it look to bad ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi, i own a zenbook. Recently, the laptop has not been booting up though the power button is lit. If it somehow boots up the Asus logo, after a little while it would crash into black screen and afterwards there is no response whatsoever. Please help me fix this issue.
I have restarted it, factory reset it, etc. and this still pops up when I get done with the setup after it's factory reset.

I bought this laptop and it seems the motion blur is a bit excessive, is there any way to reduce it by increasing response time?
I'm not very tech savvy, and the listings on the website are confusing. This laptop will be my first gaming laptop. So I would like to ask y'all about what models I should look at or what you could suggest. I play valorant, modded skyrim, mostly open world games. I also use emulators like CEMU, PPSSPP. Thank you!
Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I have an Asus Vivobook laptop, and last week I purchased an Asus External DVD-RW drive (SDRW-08D2S-U lite). When I plug it in it comes up with an error message however, stating:
A driver cannot load on this device.
When I click on "Learn More" it takes me to a site which recommends making sure the driver is updated to the latest version (which I have, and it is), or turn off the memory integrity setting, and I'd rather not go turning off security settings I don't really understand if another option is available.
If anyone can help shed any light on this and help me be able to use my DVD drive I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Basically i decided to use linux as my operating system. However it is likely that my laptop would be handed down to my sibling and she doesnt understand linux so when its to give it to her will we able to reinstall windows without needing to spend money on licenses and stuff?
Hi guys, recently I got this 1440p 240hz monitor for my PC I have a 4080Super paired with a 7800x3D. I noticed an issue whenever I play a game there is a lot of motion blur. But it only gets blurry when there is movement happening, for example when I move my character it gets blurry when I stay still everything looks crisp. Some games it’s more noticeable and it looks terrible , I use a DP cable & I’ve tried HDMI no difference
I tried all of these below but none have worked • Disabled Overdrive in the monitor setting • Disabled Anti-Aliasing in game settings • Tried Nvidia Image Scaling • Disabled V-Sync & Motion blur Would appreciate any help thanks!
Hi all,
I have a brand new ux8406 that is fully updated with recent drivers. Mouse lag is at extreme level and super annoying to use the laptop. Mouse lag disappears at Fullscreen apps, like Ms paint example at the video.
I tried disabling the power saving from the Intel usb interface, disabling suspended power saving from advanced power saving settings. Same lag applies to laptop's touchpad too ( it is a removable Bluetooth keyboard on ux8406)
Does anyone have any tips?
Hi there!
I Just updated the BIOS for my Motherboard (ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI). And now when posting, the title message is showing up on boot
Checking the BIOS Settings, the only thing that seems to remove that message is setting to "Keep Current" the "Option ROM Messages" settings, but that's not working for me.
Is it some other option?
I have this weird issue where the monitor on my laptop freezes but my secondary monitor through the hdmi cable works perfectly fine, and so does the rest of the laptop. For example when I am watching YouTube on the primary display(laptop monitor) it would randomly freeze but I could still hear audio and whatever was on the secondary monitor would continue to work normally. Any ideas on how to fix it? Asus 2022 strix g15 with 16gb of ram 512 go of storage nvidia 3060 and ryzen 6800h
Anyone know, have experience with which MB is better? besides the extreme being E-ATX form factor which one would be better not considering size constraint?
TLDR: Asus VIVOBOOK S15 won't boot. Weird noises coming from hard drive per video, help fix.
I've had this Asus stored away for quite a while now (~1½ years) with the occasional boot. It's an i5-8th gen with 4GB Ram, a 128GB SSD and a 500GB hard drive.
I took it out today so I could hand it down to my kid brother who needs a more powerful laptop for basic programming at school. However, it's not booting. The one time it booted it went into automatic repair and shut down immediately.
The problem seems to be coming from the hard drive which is making a weird noise like in the video. If anyone can point out what the problem could be and how/if it can be fixed... Thanks.
I realize there is a way to use the ASUS app using the instructions given. But I want to use TailScale. Anyway to make this work?
Ive had nothing but issues with my asus tuf amd 6800xt oc edition, im trying to get asus to honour their warranty but they've made it nearly impossible for this to happen . The website sends you round in circles without any option to book a repair. anyone have any ideas or experience in dealing with asus tuf warranty? UK BASED
I have tried every option to diagnose both bios on gpu do same thing. i have tried multiple new hardware all point to gpu being faulty. i still have 18 months of warranty left, i just want to be able to play games with my friends the constant texture flashing gives me headaches.
Any ideas or suggestions to either get help with the Gpu or how to get asus to communicate with me would be appreciated.
There isn't any issue only while typing or doing stuff other than gaming. But while gaming, irrespective of any game, the key continues to register even after I stopped pressing the key.
For example, consider this scenario, imagine I'm playing a racing game using the built-in keyboard. I'm pressing down the "W" key for acceleration and holding it for 10 seconds. But even after lifting my finger, "W" key continues to register for 3 or 4 seconds. It doesn't happen while I'm typing anything in notepad or word. It is happening only while I'm playing games. I'm using Scar 15 2021 G532LV. Does anyone encounter same bug?
So I bought a 16X and transferred over my SSD from a previous generation Zenbook, after updating all the drivers and generally doing every Windows Update known to man, it now runs like a dog.
If I click the start menu, I can type 2 characters and then wait for 5 secs before I can type again. If I watch a local video file, it stutters every 30 secs for a few moments. This is not normal considering the i7 and 16Gb in the machine.
Anyone have any suggestions for the next diagnostic step, do I clone the SSD and try a new SSD?
Hi! I have recently bought Asus Zenbook 14 X OLED with intel 13700H processor. And I got 90W USB type-C charger included in the box. Battery lasted around 7 hours doing web (movies and social media). But the problem is that charger and the area of battery located in my notebook heats up (only when charger is connected) to a temperature where it's very uncomfortable to touch and it feels like I can fry a egg on it.
This is my first purchase with ASUS and since I'm new,
Thank in advance!
Hi,
Total Reddit newb here. First post ever.
Got a strange one.
My computer uses an Asus TUF Gaming X570-PLUS (WiFi) motherboard with the WiFi/Bluetooth antenna plugged in.
I have a Logitech keyboard and mouse connected to the Logitech Unifying receiver on 1 (both can connect to 3 devices), and to the same desktop via Bluetooth on 3.
In case it matters, I'm using the Logitech Ergo K860 and MX Master 3.
The Logitech Unifying Receiver is plugged into a USB hub on the desktop for good reception.
If I use the Logitech Unifying Receiver, the keyboard and mouse work in both Windows, and in BIOS.
But if I switch to using Bluetooth, then they work in Windows, but not during boot, so I cannot get to the BIOS by pressing F2 or Del. I would kind of like to get rid of the USB hub (and thus, the Logitech Unifying Receiver) to clear space on the desk. If worse comes to worst I can just switch my keyboard and mouse between device 1 & 3 if I need to goof around in BIOS, but I just find this behavior strange. Shouldn't Bluetooth keyboards and mice work just fine during boot?
What am I doing wrong?
I keep looking at planning on upgrading to a better laptop as soon as I can get out of debt. If money wasn’t an issue, would you recommend ASUS or some other brand? I’m going for a nice 17” monitor with the best possible panel, etc. Something that will last me a long time, since high end laptops keep getting more expensive, ideally it would last me at least two years before upgrading.
I haven't found any resource I could download the file manually. Does anyone knows how to fix this problem
The portrait mode is not working when I flip my laptop to portrait mode. The rotation lock is greyed out and restarting the laptop has no effect. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I just bought my computer a month ago and it suddenly stopped working (not completely) it got stuck in the bios without me knowing that actually existed and all I found out is that the driver (SSD) is nos being recognized and also it doesn’t let me do anything such as boot the system. What can I do? I literally didn’t do anything. Yesterday’s night was working completely fine and I didn’t download anything out of normal such as an external software or anything like that. Pls help…
