Hey all, hoping that you can help me out.
I’m a Veteran and I am in the midst of starting a Veteran advocacy organization and I need to get a desktop computer for my work. It would be for lawyer-type administrative duties only (Word, Adobe, etc.).
I’m looking for a desktop that has 32GB RAM, at least 1TB SSD, runs Windows 10 or 11, has plenty of USB ports, and has the capability to run 3 monitors. I’d like it to be as future-proof as possible. I don’t have a firm budget, but more affordable is obviously good, if possible.
With the help of a friend, I had narrowed it down to these two until I discovered the ongoing Intel 13th and 14th Gen CPU problems:
The Intel problems freaked me out and made me think I should get something that uses AMD instead.
The only alternative I’ve found so far is this, but not sure if it will run 3 monitors and it doesn’t come with the better Costco warranty:

Any recommendations and help would be appreciated. Open to monitor suggestions as well if you have any. Thank you!
Hello,
I hope you can help me a little. I can't really see the forest for the trees anymore.
I have had my PC for quite a long time and would like something new. I play quite a lot of games, and I also often enjoy watching a movie or series while gaming. The games I generally play are Divinity original sin 2, red dead online, Dead by daylight, baldurs gate 3 and sometimes a slightly chiller game such as Dreamlight valley. And my PC sometimes has some trouble with Divinity Original Sin and especially with Baldur's Gate 3. And doing something in addition sometimes doesn't work ideally.
My PC isn't bad or anything, it just could be better. I looked at computer like the link below. I prefer that website too, otherwise I live in the Netherlands and I have already looked at a few websites, but they are often unknown brands and sometimes I just don't quite know what to think of them. I appreciate all the advice and thanks in advance for your time and effort. My budget is around €2.000.
I need to get a pc through Best Buy for the credit option, and this one has a pretty massive price drop.
Is there a reason it's so discounted?
I really don't have the patience to shop around and compare parts and build my own. But I've recently had a stroke due to a TBI, so I've got a bit of free time
I've got an older gaming pc that's starting to show it's age. And I thought about upgrading it, but I honestly have no idea where to go or how to do it. But i was contemplating getting something off Amazon in the 1200-1400 dollar range.
What I've got right now is a i5-10400 F processor, with a 1660 Super, amd a 350 w power supply. It's an MSI aegis brand. I got a coworker who offered me a few hundred bucks for the whole pc so I just figured I'd look into a complete upgrade instead of just upgrading parts of it.
Need help in identifying if this is a good deal or not? https://www.newegg.ca/p/N82E16883320001
I will be using the pc to play indies/AAA titles(if possible in 1440p) and video editing (not professional).
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. My budget is 1200 cad( Canadian dollars) max.
Edit: I lack the knowledge and want to avoid the hassle of building a pc all by myself.
Hi everyone,
I am getting my first paycheck this month and need a replacement for my broken PC. I am not looking to build one I can't be bothered with the hassle of it and I have bad experience with some stores who built for me. I rather just pick up a premade.
I have picked out the store I want to use. it is Informatique in the Netherlands. They always have given me great service. My budget is around 3000 euros. I'd rather stay around or below that amount as I feel like going higher is a bit overkill for what I use the computer for. I have selected a few models;
HP OMEN GT21-2070nd 40L Gaming | A07TZEA#ABH - Informatique
Lenovo Legion T7 34IRZ8CORE_I9-14900KF_3 | 90V700G0MH - Informatique
Other items on the informatique store could be acceptable as well. But these two interest me so far. Definitely had some questions regarding HP /Lenovo and what you would pick.
I am a console gamer first and foremost. But I want to go back and play the classics. Some games I’d like to tackle: Fallout 1 and 2, Deus Ex, Fallout New Vegas and more as I go deeper into this era of gaming. It needs to be as inexpensive as possible and I don’t want any flashy lights. Any advice is appreciated.

i found this site never heard of it before but the prices are surprisingly good. anyone orderd from europe and got a good product?
any advise will help thanks!
I'm not traditionally a PC gamer but I'm still trying to figure out what PC power is enough for me since I'm going to need a new one soon and would like it to handle certain games.
I'm not going to be using it to play the latest and greatest AAA games. I'm more interested in older games on the level of Halo MCC. On top of that I'd like to make sure it can handle certain indies as well like Nine Sols or upcoming ones like Replaced or Silksong (if it releases, ha).
Bonus if it can play the current version MSFS, but not required.
I've been a Mac user for a while now but grew up gaming on PC, I've been gaming on consoles most recently, so I'm completely out of the loop on Windows/PC's.
I'm looking for a PC that I could game smoothly on (games like DRG Survivor, CS, COD, Diablo, Stardew, Portal, but I don't want to limit myself from playing larger games liked Red Dead, Elden Ring etc.), also a bonus if it has the power for some budget music production.
I'm not sure if i'm expecting too much out of a PC for <$1000 CAD, also considered just getting a Steam Deck and keeping the music production to my Macbook. Although, I really miss the feeling of gaming with a keyboard and mouse.
Feeling a bit over my head here and would love some advice, thanks!
Looking to buy my mom an all-in-one desktop for Christmas. Budget is $600 max (pre-tax) which I know is low but she really doesn’t do much other than generic web surfing (news articles, online shop, use google, check emails). Just don’t want to go with something bottom of the barrel that’ll crap out in 2 years. She’s familiar with (and I think likes?) HP. Lets goooo (and thanks)
I know the PCs are kinda bad or something but this is for my budget and I need some tip and which PC can be ok.
I just need one to choose out of those 3...
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
I want one that isnt crazy for gaming but can stream games from switch and ps5 like 200-400 range i dont want anything crazy just something to make streaming smooth

Currently have a 1440p moniter but could eventually go with a 4k. I'm a console gamer looking to get into pc gaming. Budget is around 2k-2.5k.
Looking to see what i should save up to upgrade first on my HP Omen pc. Here’s what’s in it already: RTX 3060 GPU 48GB RAM (2 16GB cards and 2 8GB cards) (2) - 1TB NVME SSD’s Intel I5 12th Gen CPU Windows 11 OS
Hi, I'd like to buy a new pc but I'm not into technology. With this budget i dont expect to play warzone but just simulation games like Football Manager or f1 manager. I already have a good monitor so with the budget im considering only the pc
Hello everyone. I need your valuable suggestion for the following PC-Build requirements:
Usage: Embedded Hw/Sw development (Kernel Compilations, Dockers), ML/AI related work for IoT/Automation, Gaming.
Gaming Requirement: It should be able to handle graphically demanding games decently, if not with the highest quality settings.
Budget: The total cost should not break my back. I am ready to spend money for a quality product which will last me for at least 6 years.
Power Consumption: Energy efficient.
CPU Preference: AMD oriented build (because I have read that Intel are mostly power inefficient and having a lot of issues recently).
Aesthetics: I prefer a low profile look with no flashy stuff like RGB.
Buying Time: I am planning to build the PC in the 1st quarter of 2025.
Please give me some options when suggesting the individual parts since I am living in India and will not have access to all the parts that are available elsewhere in the world.
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking to buy a PC that can run Valorant, and Fortnite decently (currently playing with 40-60fps), doesn't have to be anything insane, my budget would be between $600 and $1200 but prefer something more budget friendly. I don't really know much about PCs so any recs would be a huge help. Thanks!
My brother is looking for a laptop that has the following needs:
I have a passing understanding of computers but have a massive gap in my knowledge in comparing GPU's and I'd rather future-proof it for newer games. Beyond the listed games he wouldnt be playing any other kinds of games. Would be nice if we could get this in time for Christmas.
Hi all, I got a great recommendation for myself some months ago, so wanted to ask for my roommate. They had a HP Omen 880z from 2018 that finally is on its last legs. They do a lot of trials in Elder Scrolls Online, and otherwise play a bit of Sims 3 and Sims 4. With a smattering of Minecraft and Hogwarts Legacy, and I hope Baldur's Gate 3 eventually. I mean hopefully with a better system, they might try out some more games (no shooters though, more RPG/action-adventure stuff). But otherwise they need storage as they'll be trying to backup DVDs and have several favorites on there (though majority will be separate storage). Otherwise they have a second monitor, so like to stream movies and play some games at the same time. Budget is roughly $1000-1500, but can be a little more if it had to be for these requirements. Thanks much!
I don’t know anything about building PCs lol. I’d just want a PC where I can play Valorant, Minecraft, Roblox (can u tell I’m a girl), possibly cod and Fortnite as well. I’d prefer prebuilt but if it’s gonna be drastically better building it, lmk pls 🫶🫶
Hi all! My 14yo son is obsessed with the idea of getting a PC for gaming. It’s been 6-7 years since I built a PC and a lot has changed since the last time I was seriously researching this topic, so some advice would be welcome. There are a couple interesting factors at play:
With the above in mind, I’d be grateful for any tips or suggestions for a tiny PC that would be a good starting point for an eager kid!
I’m responsible for purchasing work devices for our office. We are considering switching to mini PCs and are currently selecting from Acemagic AMR5, MSI Cube 5, and Blackview MP60. Which one do you think is better?
Hey! I’m looking for a PC that can double as both a game console and a workspace. My current loud, bulky PC does a good job with this, but it’s aging and has been having several performance issues as of late, which is why I’m starting a new search.
I took this Microsoft quiz which recommended a more advanced processor, higher-quality graphics card, and 16-64 GB RAM; however, I do not know how reliable this quiz is (plus it only promotes Microsoft products).
I don’t know much about computers, so I wouldn’t want one that I’d need to build on my own. I would also like to have two monitors for it, if that is of any help.
Pricewise, I have a cap of $1,800-2,000 USD. I don’t know if this is unreasonable for a PC, but if I do need to spend more for better PCs, or if I'm over guessing how much I need to spend, please let me know.
This one has a i9 12900KF & a 4070
This one has a Ryzen 5 7500F & a 4070 Super
UserBenchmark has the 4070 Super as 18% faster than the 4070, and has the 12900KF as 18% faster than the Ryzen 5, which I know is a gross simplification of the differences but illustrates my conundrum here. Will I "feel" the better CPU more or the upgrade at GPU more? I'm coming from an i5 4690K & a 1070 so it's a monumental upgrade either way so maybe I'm splitting hairs here, but any advice is appreciated.
County: USA
Budget: $2,000
Usage: A friend (who is afraid of reddit and asked me to post on his behalf) wants to invest in a tower to help him run streams on Twitch. Specifically, he needs to be able to run vMix or similar software receiving remote feeds and streaming them. There's a slight preference for Intel over AMD, but biggest priority is that it does the job well out of the box and has a reliable warranty.
