I recently dropped my phone in the top right corner. I can send iMessages, but I can't call anyone. Why is this?

If I download and install 18.1 RC and let’s say I then factory reset it through itunes, does iTunes pull the download for 18.1 RC?

When I turn on MacBook Pro, it shows File flashing with question mark, so I Go to “MAC OS Utility” To Reinstall Mac OS (Mac OS X Lion)

But it shows this error “Additions required to install Mac OS X Unable to download components.”

So for no reason whatsoever, siri just vanished from my phone even though mere minutes ago it was fully working. No siri and search settings, saying “hey siri” doesnt work, holding the power button doesnt work, nothing at all. its almost as if siri was just fully deleted out of nowhere. not even restarting my device worked

I have an early 2015 macbook bro 13 inch, and I was trying to factory reset it. For that, I went into the recovery menu and I erased my drive and cleared it. And image of the erased drive is shown below. There is 121gb of space on it.

I then went to the recovery menu and hit the install MacOS button and followed the instructions on the screen, along with following the instructions on apple's website. Then, it gave me this error, shown below. I tries running the application again multiple times, and erased the drive mulktiple times, but it still did not work.

I am unsure how to fix this. I followed apple's instructions. Can someone please help me? Is it because of how I named the drive Untitled instead of Macintosh HD? How do I fix this?

Would there be any compatibility issues with a 2017 iMac running macOS Ventura 13.7 (Photos app version 8.0) and an iPhone running iOS 17.7 or iOS 18?

The 2017 iMac is not eligible to update to a more recent macOS, which limits the Mac Photos app to version 8.0. So, I am concerned about updating iPhone to iOS 17.7 or newer.

I recently had my iPhone stolen. Unfortunately for some reasons that were my fault, they were able to gain access to the phone, my apple wallet and other bank and credit card unfortunately.

During this time they changed my password on my Apple ID account.

I have since then been able to close my bank account and report all my cards as stolen, taken control back of my email addresses. I’ve changed all my passwords and gotten a new phone with the same phone number. Signed out of chrome on other devices and deleted all passwords and username information stored in chrome.

Unfortunately I cannot find my 28 digit apple verification code and cannot get back that account according to apple support.

Since I can’t get this account back I’ve also closed my Apple Pay card.

My questions are

Does anybody have any idea if there’s anything anyone can do to delete the account if I don’t have the Apple 28 digit code? Or anything I can do at all to get it back

Did I cover all my bases? Anything else I’m forgetting in order to ensure they do no more damage if they do get to keep the account?

Suddenly my MacBook Air won’t connect to my WiFi. It shows that I am connected in my WiFi network settings but when I open chrome and safari both show no internet.

I have ensured the date and time settings are correct, have updated my DNS server to 8.8.8.8, confirmed that my TCP/IP is using DHCP and have checked my computer for any VPN apps/browser extensions which I don’t see any. When I went into the Apple Store today they were able to get my computer to connect to their network but it’s still not working on my home WiFi. What else can I try or might I be missing?

For some reason, iMessage notifications from my partner (existing contact) are now being sent as Maybe:Partners Name

The notification also states the iMessage is being sent to myself and my Partner, like Messages is creating a group chat.

I’m on iOS18, they are on iOS17. I’ve tried playing with phone numbers (adding +1), deleting the chat, deleting old/turned off travel esims, Siri/Apple AI message setting, etc.

Any insights on how to fix are appreciated.

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this or if there even is a solution. But I have an Iphone 7 on ios 15.8.3, and I want to download an app but it requires ios 17. But I can’t download ios 17 because it isn’t available for iphone 7. Can I just not download the app or is there maybe some way to work around this?

I was installing audio software and the installation froze midway. After a restart, my system seems to have lost audio.

Pressing the volume up and down buttons on the keyboard shows the speaker icon with a cross through it. When trying to access the ‘Sound’ option in system preferences, I get the rainbow spinning wheel and it will not go away until I force quit the application. Opening audio applications such as VLC and Spotify is now extremely sluggish and once they get going, no audio plays.

Can anyone provide some help please on how to regain my audio?

Hi, this is a weird post so I hope I phrase it right. Sorry, I don’t know a lot of details, currently using a iPhone 11 while my dad is iPhone 13.

A while ago my dad came up to me and asked if I changed his phone contact names/picture. I said no as I’ve never accessed his phone like- ever except for taking a photo or two through the lockscreen. (I’ve never known his passwords.)

However, when he showed me the contact name/picture I immediately recognized it as the photo I set for my mom cuz I was a nerdy stupid kid, (Name was some stupid character and a cute picture of a dog.)

Then I saw other contacts being switched. I switched my apple ID email a while ago so my mom should be the only one with access to it, and even then I don’t want my contacts altered on hers. I also changed my email but it should be same apple Id.

Does anyone know why this happened? And will other things be connected-? Will my old saved pictures be synced to his phone?? Can this happen with my new apple plan since I’m connected to my mom’s account? I am over 18 so it doesn’t seem like a parental control thing since why would it only be activating now?

So my friend has two different phones one is an android the other is an apple. Up until now my phone had been working perfectly fine but I have it set to where both the numbers are in one contact. You can switch between them at ease on which phone I need to text. Well the last time I tried to switch back to the android number from the iphone number it just kept on trying to send the imessage to the iphone? I eventually got it to text the android number but not my phone is being very buggy. I have him pinned and whenever he sends me a text it sends me it through the pinned contact and from the same number on my regular message area. Also when I get a text instead of saying my contact name it says his number. I have tried deleting he contact and re making it. I even made the iphone number its own contact and it still does not work. I even tried blocking the Iphone number but if I swipe down on the text when it pops up on the top it bring our phones iphone messages and not the android messages. I am still having these problems and I’m honestly getting so mad and it’s annoying. I don’t know how to fix it. Please Help!

Many years ago I had my playlists set up how I liked on itunes, then I had issues opening itunes on my macbook (wasnt too bothered as I could use my phone), then I had to do a factory re-set on my previous iphone and the itunes library failed on the back up so I lost all my playlists

I've mainly been using spotify since but I have recently had an old Microsoft Surface tablet and found my old itunes from 2018 with the old playlists still there

I currently have a 13 mini iphone, any chance I can sync from the old itunes or am I safer manually recreating my playlists? (although I lost a large chunk of the library stock as well)

i’m receiving some messages through my number and others through email even though i have it checked to send and receive to my number only, it’s annoying because the messages that are being sent to my email i can’t see well i’m out unless i have wifi. if anyone knows how to help it would be much appreciated

This morning my MacBook worked but showed it had low battery even though it had been charging all night. When plugged in it showed 50% battery. Eventually I unplugged it and it turned off. Booted it back up and got to the password screen a couple of times, but now all I get is a large low battery icon then it turns off. I’ve tried all of the reset options (hard reset, SMC, PRAM), booting up in safe and recovery mode, and tried different charges. Nothing has worked. Anyone know how to fix this??

I accidentally started a walking workout while I was at the gym doing traditional training. I tried to manually add the workout in, but I put a.m. and now it thinks I worked out for 13 hours. It’s a new exercise record! Is there a way to delete the workout

I do not want to transfer the files off the Mac. I just want to make a backup copy. Also, if copying the library involves the “picture folder”, how do I find the “picture folder” on my computer? Thanks for any help!
