Any good 16 inch laptops without the number pad?

As per the title, I’m after a 1440p 16 inch laptop with at least 120 hertz refresh rate mostly for working and some gaming but without a number pad!

I toyed with the Legion Slim 7 many months ago and returned it due to the fan constantly spinning up and down for no reason, even when idle doing nothing, and the typing experience was infuriating! But I absolutely loved the display and the build!

I wouldn’t even mind a normal non-gaming laptop so without a GPU but it has to have a 1440p display with at least 120 hertz refresh rate and NO number pad.

Thank you

Budget gaming laptop

Which gaming laptop do you recommend for around 500 - 800 euros?

What is needed? 60-120 fps/Hz that can run low-medium performance in games. Something I can take on a holiday and edit my drone footage with.

Background info: 3 years ago I built my own gaming pc and have never looked back since. Now I'm looking towards buying a gaming laptop. When my gf is coming over we play video games together. (she's on my pc, I play on my rusty 9y old ps4) But my ps4 feels like it's taking off. It's slow, loud, has input lag, bad visuals so with my eye on portability I was looking into investing in a gaming laptop. A laptop which I can boot in the weekends to play together (with her on my pc) or I can take places to game a little or run/edit my drone footage on. Nothing crazy. Nothing heavy.

If you want more information, feel free to ask! Thanks in advance for your time!

Best display for the eyes?

I have two laptops, one HP envy and one Nitro Acer, both are IPS and my eyes always get red when I use them. I don't know if it's because I got lasik but any recommendations? I use an external LCD monitor and that one I can use it all day no problem.

Anyone else have an issue with their lenovo legion laptop not fully closing? It closes on the other side but has this big gap on the other. I can't seem to find out what might be causing it. Figured I would check here for some info.

Looking for a Tips to clean my Gaming Laptop.

I purchased an HP Victus Gaming laptop last September, and since then, I've been using it for around 4-6 hours a day. I mainly use it for programming and a little bit of gaming (my nephew does most of the gaming). Where I live, there's a lot of construction going on, and every day, I clean my desk twice because of the amount of dust that accumulates. I use a cooling pad with some dust filters underneath, but despite that, dust is still accumulating on the laptop fans. The thermals are fine as they were before (86°C) at peak usage, but the amount of dust on the fans is bothering me. The laptop is under warranty, and I don't know how the warranty works in my country. In all this busy schedule, I finally have some time to clean it. Any advice, tips, or tricks?

Is the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 worth it?

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-legion-slim-5-14-5-oled-gaming-laptop-ryzen-7-7840hs-with-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-8gb-with-1-tb-ssd-storm-grey/6559123.p?skuId=6559123

Saw this on sale. I have an ROG Zephyrus g14 from a few years back which is breaking down. I haven't had a lenovo laptop since college so I don't know if the legion line is good or not but does this laptop seem better than other 14" laptops in terms of gaming performance and some productivity (autodesk revit)?

High Cpu and Gpu temps

Are Cpu and Gpu Temperatures of 86 and 97 degrees Celsius fine while gaming? I have a Legion 5(R7 5800H/RTX 3060. I use just a normal laptop stand and live in a tropical country with temperatures reaching 35 degrees during peak afternoons.

Gaming laptop recommendations.

My friend has been asking me what laptop he should get, he wants a good gaming laptop for no higher than £1000. Any recommendations. I heard the ASUS TUF A15 gaming laptop is good and only £800. I myself have a dell G15 which is stupidly expensive for the performance.

Is it normal that My Cpu is nearing 80C (sometimes go above but not too long) during games even with Medium settings ?

So basically i play games like Genshin impact, Honkai star rail and Elden Ring. My Cpu is i5-13500H, is it fine that my cpu is almost constantly over 70 degrees and sometimes reaches 80 for a little even though i play the games at medium settings ? Would playing like this hurt my PC or should i try to keep it cooler ?

Will a Asus GL552VW keyboard fit in my GL752VW?

For the background GL552VW is 15" version of GL752VW, which is 17" model and which I own. And keyboard in my laptop is damaged (Following keys ain't working: W, 2, F2) and I want to replace it. But I am on tight budget and I found the GL552VW one, that looks exactly the same and is cheaper than GL752VW ones that I've found. And the thing is that will it fit? For comparison I will put photos of both, my keyboard and the GL552VW one.

My keyboard:

The GL552VW one:

Also I wasn't sure what flair to use so pls don't bombard me with "wrong flair" comments

I already bought this laptop, but still have around 10 days til it reaches me. What do you guys think?

The heaviest games I own on Steam are Horizon Zero Dawn/Cyberpunk and I intend to mainly play modded Skyrim/Fallout, as well as FF14 when Dawntrail launches. Any input on what could be better, or did I do good?

Does anyone know of a good cooling pad that provides an INTAKE and OUTTAKE?

I'm looking for a cooling pad for my gaming laptop I recently acquired (MSI Cyborg 15 A13V) and up until now, I've been mostly using it for school and the occasional Minecraft session with my brother and nephew. When I do, I just prop the laptop up with a book to provide some ventilation.

I'm looking at playing some slightly beefier games soon, such as X4 Foundations, Star Citizen and perhaps some Helldivers. For those first two games, my laptop does get quite hot, even when I have the machine propped up, so I'm wondering if any one here would know of a good laptop cooling pad that props up my machine while creating an intake and outtake airflow? (i.e. I don't want fans just blowing on the unit only; I've been told that won't work and that I will need air going out and coming in) So far, I've only been able to find Chinese aftermarket pads that blow air on the unit, with no outtake.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

First gaming PC!

Just bought this Legion 5 pro with ryzen 7 5800h, rtx 3070, 16gb ram, and 512gb ssd. I have 2 16gb ram sticks coming in the mail and an extra 2tb ssd from my PS5 I plan on putting in. I went ahead and bought a gt600 cooler. I kind of know the basics, I used to pc game 10+ years ago. Is there any info I should know getting started? Any programs/apps I have to have. Ect. I paid $700, seemed like a decent deal to me. I am excited to join the PCmasterrace, I can finally use my computer for something other than 720p porn.

Side Vent air noticeable

One of the intentions lenovo had with their "legion coldfront hyper" is that the air is pushed out from the back and air doesnt blow into your hands anymore. Is the side vent air noticeable to you guys?

Gaming pc recommendations?

Hi everyone, apologies if this gets asked way too much but was hoping maybe someone could point me in the right direction!

I’ve gamed on consoles my whole life and have never really cared for buying a gaming PC. Recently though I’ve been considering gaming laptops and I have literally no idea what to look for. I have an older laptop right now but I just use it for YouTube/netflix etc and some stuff for work which is generally just emails, zoom meetings and word/excel documents.

Does anyone have any recommendations (or even a general price range I should look at!) for gaming laptops that could supports playing warzone/apex and probably GTA6 when it finally comes out, as well as being able for general functions for work?

Even just some general tips that I can look out for as well would be greatly appreciated!

Advice on Gaming Laptop for Sims 4 Exclusively

Hi everyone! My name is Ink, and I'm currently in the market for a new gaming laptop! I currently have a Lenovo Ideapad 3 15IIL05 that my parents gifted me many years ago. The problem is, it doesn't seem to have enough storage to handle The Sims 4, all my packs, and all the mods/cc that I use. I recently switched to playing via an external hard drive, but it's giving me issues. In short, everything would be a lot easier if I just had a laptop that could handle all the things I need to play my game.

First, can someone tell me what the problem is with the Ideapad 3 that is making it so difficult to play? Is it the storage? Second, does anyone have any recommendations for a gaming laptop that can handle The Sims 4, most of the packs, and LOTS of mods/cc? My budget is around $600-$700.

If this is the wrong subreddit can someone redirect me to the proper one? Sorry in advance if it is!

Thank you all so much for your help! :)

Gaming computer Suggestion.

Hello. I just wanted to get you guys input for a gaming laptop. I recently damaged my Mac and I was thinking of getting a new one. Since I will be moving out this summer and my dad is keeping the Ps5. I think gaming laptop would be better than a Mac. I usually play FIFA, Fortnite, assaying creeds and few other games. I was searching for the best gaming laptop I can get for about $1500. A RTX 4080 and 32 GB RAM is what I heard I need to mainly look for.

Gaming laptop advice £1,500-£2,500

Hi all, looking for a gaming laptop that will run some pretty intense stuff like Elden Ring well, but I'm terrible at understanding the performance side of things. Any advice for the price points between my min/max would be fantastic.

Which one should I choose?

I'm torn between getting either an Acer Predator Helios 16 w 14900hx and 4080 or a Lenovo legion 7i pro w 13900hx and 4080 for a similar price

Acer pros: Much better display and build quality Better warranty support in my region Newer processor

Lenovo pros: Better cooling system(and hence performance?) Ability to undervolt processor Better software
