Hey I am looking into Data Removal services, and was wondering if it would be beneficial if I signed up for a site like Optery for just one month. I know they do year subscriptions and stuff but if they got all the info off in one month wouldn't I not need it for a year? or are they just hiding it for the duration of the subscription. Looking for recommendations on how to 1) port this music elsewhere and 2) also what service to use so I don't lose any of my music (I've heard that when you uploaded a CD into iTunes, Apple then owns that music and sometimes jacked w it), and so that I can play my playlists and ideally also keep my tags.

I have both my old Mac (hasn't connected to the internet since 2017) and a hard drive backup so I feel like I have only two shots at this w/o fucking it up.

I am looking into getting a dashcam because there is a cop that has been harassing me and giving me completely fabricated tickets despite being parked completely legally. I have to go in like twice a week to dispute this bs and I want a dash cam that will be constantly recording so if he comes up and leaves a ticket I can show the footage and have indisputable evidence that this is harassment and that I'm not doing anything wrong. I don't know anything about tech or cars, I don't want anything complicated to use or install, and I'm 8 months pregnant so I can be like getting down under my van anyway. Most of the dash cams I've looked at on Amazon require separate confusing looking hardware to enable it to record constantly/while parked. Are there any dash cams that are simple to use that can record constantly while parked without needing anything fancy/separate? I just want to be able to see the footage on my phone so if I get a ticket I can find him giving it to me and have the video showing where I was parked and him coming up and writing the citation (and of course while driving, so I'll have footage of me parking in the spot). Are there any dash cams like this or do they all need add ons to work the way I'm describing?

We have a spare phone that we purchased for our daughter for emergency use that just took the pay as you go cards. Is this a good option or is it better to just put his SIM card with its own data plan?

Hello!! As the title suggests, I have set up some string lights but it does not come with a remote control. I was wondering if I would be able to do some fancy tech work (DIY as someone with little to no prior experience with hardware stuff) and set up some kind of control and receiver inside of the battery box. I truly don’t know if it’s possible to achieve what I’m looking for. I really struggle with tracking my activities for billing purposes. I use teams, email, word, excel,sharepoint and salesforce. I have ADHD and I jump from task to task and get distracted when I get a new message and I jump to something new and forget to record my time. I also travel for work so sometimes I’m on my computer and other times I’m in my car and could pull something up on my cellphone. It would be so helpful if at the end of the month I had a list of tasks i did for each client along with the date that I did them. Any tips to get something started would be so appreciated.

i already configured it to not turn off on the control panel lid action configurations and saved changes, but it stills turning off when i close the lid

I encountered a bug with an unread notification bubble on the messages app even though none of the messages we're unread.

Tried deleting all messages and restarting.

What worked was asking Siri to read all unread messages, but since you have to say "no" as a response to Siri asking if you want to respond, I recorded a video saying "No" and used Google photos on another phone to loop that video.

This way I successfully cleared 69 notifications...

Hello people of the internet! I have recently gotten a link cable for my oculus quest 2, and i tried it out yesterday. It worked well, and after i was done using it I disabled the meta link, put the headset to sleep, and let it charge without disconnecting the physical link cable. When i tried to play earlier, i figured out that now my entire headset doesn't have audio, whether im in link mode or not. I looked it up, but there were no problem descriptions that matched my issue close enough to make me feel comfortable, since i have a bad habit of somehow breaking technology by following instructions. I just want to play VR and have fun with friends, does anyone know how to fix this???

I need to buy a new phone and my budget is under 500 euros. I am thinking about Motorola Edge 50 fusion and Google Pixel 8a. I like the Motorola one because it has a large screen and is a 100 euro cheaper than Google Pixel 8a. I like the Pixel because it has a good camera and i like taking photos, but it annoys me that the phone is small, i like large screen phones. Which should i get?
