Whenever I share the screen on a call the call audio becomes muted, everyone can hear me buy I can hear them. I use an Xbox controller to plug my microphone into because my mic will not work otherwise (the headphone jack on my laptop might be output only) this may have something to do with it.

I've already had someone walk me through a process involving admin Command prompts,

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

Rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 to add ".old"

net start (same services as before)

shutdown /r /f /t 0

This did apparently allow *some* sort of update to take place, but not one that resolved my mic issue or that allowed the updates in the picture to install, putting me back to square one.

Hello everyone, I need some help with some computer issues I have been having since yesterday. It started when I was trying to play pubg yesterday and whenever I either load into a match, or when we load onto the plain before drop, the game crashes without fail, and even resulted in a full computer crash which was when I stopped trying to play the game. Then this morning, I tried to hop on CS2 but it would just crash on launch.

I decided to open Task Manager and watch my cpu and memory usage as I launch CS2 and for whatever reason, the game causes my CPU usage to max out at 100% before the game crashes. My computer also decided to reboot itself during this process which was something that hadn't happened before. I have no idea what is going on or why my CPU is acting up because CS2 should absolutely not be causing issues as I have an i9 13900k and it shouldn't be a GPU issue as I have an RTX 4090 which should handle both games easily.

I have also monitored temps and the parts aren't overheating from what I can tell.

I am at a loss for what is going on here as I am not very tech savy. I don't know if I somehow managed to get a virus or if somehow, my components have suffered damage of some kind. Any help finding the cause of this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a used Gainward GTX 1080 Phoenix from Ebay. The seller said that it had driver problems and only worked with low resolution. After using DDU to install to remove my RTX 3070 Ti drivers and installing the new GPU, I got no video output and just a blackscreen. The GPU fans spin, the rgb lights up and I can log in and hear the windows sounds but there is no display. The Boot and VGA LEDs only light up when i am in BIOS. After removing the CMOS Battery and installing it, the GPU boots without any problems. I stress tested it with furmark and 3dmark and it works completly fine. The temps were really good at just 60° over a long time. Then the next day I tought that the problem was solved and it was just a motherboard problem. I tried to boot but once again the fans were spinning, the rgb lights were on but a blackscreen. After removing the CMOS battery which worked the first time, I still got the blackscreen. Then I removed the battery for about 5 more times until it finally worked. Then I stress tested the GPU again without any problems. I shut the pc down and turned it on again and it worked without any problems. I could even play games for a few hours. So I turned my PC off and after about 3 hours I turned the PC on and I got a blackscreen. Now I installed my old 3070 Ti because I need to find a solution.

Some more things you should know: When I get a blackscreen the GPU fans are spinning faster than usual. Not at 100% but at about 70% I would guess.

The GPU looks brand new from the outside except that the SLI slot has some dirt on it. I think it might be used to mine crypto.

Because of the low temperature, I guess that the thermal paste has been changed. Maybe the person damaged something on the inside, maybe something that has to do with the video output.

I have used hdmi and displayport and both have worked when it showed display.

The rest of my pc is completly fine, it has to 100% be the GPU or atleast some setting on the motherboard.

I also tried to use pcie 3.0 version in the BIOS settings but it didn't work.

I hope that it is just a software and not a hardware problem. From my testing it seems like the GPU is 100% working, when it shows display. The interesting part is that it only works sometimes when I remove and add the CMOS battery again.

I have been having problems with Windows update on my pc, so I tried using Windows 10 update support. I couldn't solve the problem this way so I searched for reinstalling Windows 10 without loosing my programs. I found this could be done using Windows Media Creation Tool. So I backed up my files and used this method but still had problems. My PC seemed to think my hard drive was a USB drive. As I don't have the BIOS password Imthen looked for acway of getting around this. I then found a suggestion that if I removed my CMOS battery for a few minutes that this would reset the BIOS and I wouldn't then need a password. I did this and now my PC will not boot at all. Not even a beep. The fans are working and the RGBs are working, so I know it's not a power issue. My mother board is a H61M-E23 (B3). Have I killed my PC. Any help or suggestions as to where to go from here would be most helpful.

Hello, I'm having an issue with my windows 11 computer My Internet is awful(~800ms link speed) when connected to my wifi, but runs fine on a hotspot.

I have narrowed down the issue to windows update, but windows update will automatically start no matter what. However, now, even when windows update is disabled, my Internet is very slow

i need help i just move in to a new house i used to get 30-40 and now im just hoping to 100-300 i dont know whats wrong my cables are good and everything i need more intell!!!!!!!!!

Very important, Please Help I was screen recording a family discussion on Snapchat, When I was screen recording a family discussion in a Snapchat group, the recording was probably over at least 10 minutes long.

I had to record it for my protection because it was family drama that was happening within the Snapchat group so that's why I was screen recording.

Anyways when I realized that the screen recording had went over 10 minutes and over I noticed I got a error that said screen recording ended.

I wasn't sure what that was all about so I went to my gallery to try to play back the screen recording video,

But it said unsupported media and now I can't play baxk the video that I captured.

I can't go back to re-record the screen recording conversations because members of the group left and I guess when you leave a group in snapchat all of your chats vanish so I'm in this situation that I'm trying to figure out how to fix the unsupported media.

What can I do to fix this Unsupported Media issue? what are my options?

Is it possible to fix and recover a unsupported media video that is over 10 minutes long?

Not sure what head went wrong and I just want to recover this file, it is very important that I recover this information.....

I need to connect my pc to a iMac screen, because my studio has an iMac which I occasionally need to use as a screen for my pc, to avoid clutter I cant have a separate monitor. My PC has hdmi and vga outputs and the iMac only has a male mini displayport cable that is not removable. How do I connect them. I can use the iMac as a screen for a mac studio using a thunderbolt to female displayport adapter.

I have a Dell G5 5587 laptop that got an inflamed battery, so I had to remove it. Dell's information on their website is very unhelpful, as when I try to search the web, the only websites that tell me if a battery is compatible with my laptop are ones selling unofficial ones, and I'd rather buy an official one. I found a battery that matches the one I have on Dell's website, but the issue is that under the laptops it says the battery is compatible for, it doesn't list the G5 5587. I've linked the battery which looked like it best suited the one I had despite the compatible laptops under it not mentioning my one, and a picture of my battery if that helps. Thank You

One specific website that I need for school seemingly doesnt load while connected to my wifi, itll load for around 20 seconds before saying "couldnt be reached; website took too long to respond". I'm on google chrome, and I know its a wifi issue since it works both on my phone data and if I connect my laptop through my phone's hotspot. I found one of the Logitech K270 Wireless keyboards with a Logitech Unifying receiver at my home and it's not pairing even after installing the software for it and downloading the Logitech Unifying Receiver software. This is happening on a windows 10 Lenovo P15s. The troubleshooting I have completed is try the logitech thunderbolt receiver (which did not work.) Also replace the batteries. Turn off and wait 60 seconds until turning back on the keyboard. There is no light and power on the keyboard. Is it trash? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm using a laptop with an Archer T4U external antenna to access Cox wifi somewhere nearby. Some times of the year, reception goes from poor to lousy. Is there a better external antenna I could use?

Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but basically om trying to extend my laptop to 2 different monitors via a usb c port that doesn't support dp alt.

Now here's my question would I be able to plus a hub in somehow to the usb c, usb a, or hdmi port?

I want to plug my keyboard and mouse into the hub so when I switch from my personal laptop to work laptop I only have to unplug 1 cable and plug it into the other laptop??

As the title says,i get resistance while scrolling.i scroll fast and it does scroll fast but in the last lines of scrolling it feels like it finds resistance and the letters override the next line of letters and it stutters.its like there is no vsync.its also weird ,that when i open an app,for a split second,i see the previous frame of what i was looking ,my main screen wallpaper for example.i have donne everything i found on the internet, including factory reset .any ideas how to fix this?i have noticed that any system update,even the smaller one,breaks scrolling for days.like,i got a gallery update today and it broke scrolling again

It’s only on my Mac. My phone works fine. No one else is complaining about the school wifi either.

I restarted my computer and I tried to update it, but it can’t connect. It keeps saying retry, or never loads the 1 update it says it has.

I tried to flush my DNS cache??, but the terminal said some commands weren’t found.

I quit all my tabs. I’m trying to clear storage but I’m not sure what else to do.

I tried to flash a rom on it and I usually wipe the data and everything before flashing and it works but this time after I had done it, I couldn't flash it anymore and it had locked the bootloader. I am left with fastboot only, the bootloader cannot be unlocked because the OEM unlocking option had been turned off and there is no way of turning it on as there was no system in the phone. I tried alot of key combinations but there are no combinations of keys online that get me to the recovery.
