When I hover over the audio icon in the taskbar it says “no audio device installed.” I’ve tried a couple things like updating the driver etc. I’m stumped any ideas? It’s a Lenovo Legion 5.
I have been having problems with a 2019 MacBook Pro and I have had it taken to have its battery replaced and they have shows me this photo saying this wire is been added and they can’t fix it does anybody even know what this part is and any possable explanation I have also had the screen replaced a few years ago
I've noticed that some of my games are heavily pixelated on specific stuff, like transparent objects, effects and sometimes hair (as shown in the image). I know part of the problem is the low quality settings and 1366x768 resolution i'm using, but this also happened on Devil May Cry 5, a game i can play on max settings. Here are some example images from Elden Ring and DMC5:
Notice the hair and shoulder decorations
My PC has a Ryzen 5 4600g and i'm using integrated graphics. My monitor is also quite old, 2008-2010s old. Any ideas? Thanks
This litterally just happened and im lowkey freaking out because I can't afford this at all right now. I was playing minecraft and listening to a spotify podcast when I suddenly hear some kind of noisy sound error. I first thought its something with the headphones since the cable has been giving me trouble. However as I check to no avail, the sounds start getting louder to the point where they drown out everything. A noisy crunchy static sound. I tried unplugging the headphones but it still went on, first the same as with the headphones but soon not at all anymore, the audio died and the audio controls became laggy and unresponsive.
My first instinct was doing a hardware scan, I used Lenovo vantage for that so it's probably not that thorough, however the test said everything was fine. I also checked my hardware status but load, clock and temps were all ok.
First I did a restart and nothing changes, still the same noise when plugging the headphones in, trying to record it with audacity didn't work ether, however the speakers ceased functioning completely. Also as I restarted there was a rythmic sound of the same nature, just tik tik tik tik every second or so, but not continuously as with the headphones.
Next I tried updating the nvidia driver since I had an issue with random gpu crashes for about a year now and I currently was testing wether an older driver would work. Still though even with the new driver installed the issue persisted, also the same rythmic sound when booting up, even though I had my speaker sound dialed down at that point.
I'm really freaking out about this right now, I do 90% of my creative work and hobbies on my computer or at least with it, I can't afford a new one at all and this just came completely out of left field. The system is barely four years old and it worked completely fine up till now.
As I have mentioned I am also experiencing random GPU crashes under the error nvlddmkm 153 (I also checked for any errors when this started and nothing was out of the ordinary) I have been troubleshooting that error quite actively for a couple of months now and everything pointed toward it being software related and not hardware so I doubt that the same thing caused this. However I did a fair bit of tinkering in order to try and fix the crashes so maybe something I did there is the culprit? Please if anyone can advise me on what to do next I really need this to not be a terminal diagnosis.
Specs: Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05H RTX 2060 Intel core i5 10300H 32G RAM 64-bit windows 10
My laptop (HP) has started glitching, I tried opening it and turning it on like I do everyday at around the same time.
Two days ago, however, when I tried to turn it on it only flashed every 10 seconds or so.
I turned it off unplugged the charger and waited abit, tried again and it worked.
It did the same thing yesterday, I plugged it in tried turning it on and only getting flashes. Unplugged it and fixed it like they do on the Russian space station/ref and it worked.
Today I went to plug it in and turn it on, but tried without plugging it in first and it worked.
Charging works normally, so I don't think that's the issue.
So what is?
I can still single-click on things by lightly tapping anywhere on the touchpad, but to click-hold and drag (as when you highlight a piece of text on a website) I can only do it by holding down right in the dead center and moving my other finger around it. But this is tricky and inconsistent.
I also notice if I try to click-hold over a Chrome tab using the edge of the pad, it acts as if the cursor is just idling there, and doesn't change tab when I release.
This is a Lenovo laptop if that helps
So my family got a 500 bucks power efficient laptop with a ryzen 5 7520U (kinda feel scammed on that one) and I've realized since the first days that it makes this weird pop sound coming from the left of the laptop. It does this when I open a new tab, when I unpause the preview while editing, when unpausing vids or movies (in a browser), when notifications come up, and even when I hover over tools in Photoshop. Sometimes it even seems like it's just doing it randomly. When I put my earphones, the popping sound kind of stops, and the weirdest thing is that I've heard the popping sound coming from the earphones too (only once). When I mute the laptop, the sound doesn't occur again, and the only time the sound has occured whilst wearing earphones is when I heared it from the earphones themselves.
Also another thing that worries me, is that when a notification comes up, the screens color starts flickering. It looks like it is switching from the original colors to the calibrated ones. It also flickers randomly sometimes and I've had two occasions where the screen has went black for a milisecond.
Form what I see none of these things affect performance.
Basically I am looking through my passwords cuz I'm paranoid and I have three saved passwords/accounts to some furry art site called weasyl
I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH THIS SITE AND ITS MY FIRST TIME HEARING ABOUT IT!!
Two of the saved passwords are under two accounts of mine, one is completely blank. It's unsettling cuz one has a common repeat password I used to use a lot saved so that's freaking me out cuz I never did that 😭
I can't login to these accounts tho so idk if they are even real. This is really unsettling to me and is making my anxiety and paranoia worse!!
I need help I don't understand what's happening!!
Just turned on my laptop today and saw this on my screen, anyone knows what are the causes of this issue?
came home from work to find my pc won’t turn on and my xbox isn’t receiving an ethernet signal, not sure how these are related in any way shape or form but all I did the night prior to my pc was run an update and chose the shut down after update option, tried all the same cords and connections I use with my xbox on my girlfriends xbox and it didn’t have an issue. Is my whole system just fried? I don’t know what to try from here.
it worked but when i tried to turn pc back on, got an error. ive tried so many tutorials for the past few hours.
Windows auto repair fails every time
USB to repair just keeps bringing me back to the select install or repair page.
CMD all the bootrec/ . sfc/scannow and i don’t even remember if there’s others that ive tried.
pls Heeeeeelp
Moved my (around 500k) files from aging HDD to new Windows11 laptop. No issues.
Bought new Seagate HDD. Excited, moved my files there. Waited until it finished.
Then my dumb ass realized late that I should copy files when doing backups. Also did not reformat the new HDD before using. Now the files are there occupying space but I cannot make them appear.
I have tried restarting, trying different ports, show hidden files, the cmd attrib thingy, CHKDSK, etc. I ran those disk recovery programs for days and they did not even detect my files.
Checked my new HDD format and it is in exFAT. I'm also using one of those files as my desktop background and is somehow still being used and detected by my laptop.
Also noticed that my files were somehow under system & reserved:

I'm not that much of a computer techy person. I have tried all I can think of in my capacity. I need help now
Hi, I posted something similar two weeks ago, but my I just got a new pc and for some reason, my Bluetooth doesn't work. I've tried everything up to opening up the pc to check to see if everything is on correctly. The weird thing is, is that my pc says that Bluetooth is on, so I'm just very confused as to why it isn't working any ideas?
I was cleaning my laptop, meaning to replace the battery too, and I found that the battery connector is chipped off the motherboard, pictures attached. Is it possible to repair?
the laptop is on sleep and i hear this happening repeatedly and the laptop isnt even remotely warm
Context:
I exported files from Drive, Photos, Gmail, Calendar, YouTube, and Chrome. Notably, my Gmail data did not export.
Everything besides Google Photos was insignificant. I exported ~ 100GB of photos that ended up giving me four 50GB .zip Takeout folders for whatever reason. I exported three of them, and as the third was downloading my account was disabled, preventing me from downloading the fourth. Just for the record they never gave me a date or time, just a stupid 30-day warning that should have meant my account would be disabled tomorrow, not 11:00 pm on December 1st.
I'm a freshman in college and this Thanksgiving break is the only time I've had at my home PC to export the files since my Macbook definitely couldn't handle that and I would have needed a usbc-usb adapter anyway.
Is there any way for me to estimate what that last package could have contained? Maybe if I used process of elimination by importing my files somewfere where I can see them instead of having them just stay as heic files my Windows PC won't open? I’m trying to tell myself it was 50GB of duplicate data or metadata since that’s the only reason I could justify why it duplicated the amount I was exporting, but then again I have no way of knowing right now.
My tab key as you can see registers as both one and tab and idk how to fix it, i’ve tried multiple keyboards and restarting, so it is a software issue
BSOD stop code: “HYPERVISOR_ERROR” EAC NOT WORKING!!
This is on a new pc, never had this on old machines
Most other games work but when I try to launch rust it loads then consistently BSODS.
I unselected and re selected hyper vis and virtual machine options by navigating to optional features but still nothing worked
Sometimes instead of BSODing it would tell me I don’t have EAC installed.
That lead me to trying to reinstall EAC which doesn’t work when launching from files. It keeps closing the EAC application when it opens. This doesn’t seem to be related to an anti virus application.
Please I just wanna play rust on my off days, someone please help I’ll be indebted🙏

I have been getting the same BSOD time and again.... I have read that this BSOD require a RAM change...customer support says that i will need to remove my 1 TB ssd and then try working....and after that if i still recieve the same error then i will have to change the hardware but it will require me to format the internal SSD of my laptop (which comes built-in)...
I don't want to go through all the hassle of reinstalling every software and setting up my pc from bottom up once again
Please....any advice will be helpful
Before playing valorant on my computer opening steam is normal, no noise no thing. But as soon as I play valorant, opening steam causes there to be a usb disconnect noise. I checked with a logger but no actual USB's are being disconnected. Is it something with my GPU??
Last night I was using laptop working perfectly fine but today morning I used my laptop it was working good till I noticed my laptop was not being charged. I didnt notice single physical damage. It was working perfectly fine lastnight but today was different suddenly. (Lenevo ideapad 5)
I just want to be able to control my volume with my phone and HomePod, and I’ve tried almost everything to get it to work. Yes Anynet is on. Please offer me suggestions. I’ve even completely reset the TV and Apple TV. I’m convinced it’s an issue with my TV because it won’t connect via CEC on my Roku either.
full story: originally before the retainer clip of the w key broke, i was following a tutorial on how to fix keys not working, as when i took off the w key, the key came off but the retainer clip broke into 2 pieces. 1 being stuck in the inside of the key (where the circular bulb thing is) (i don't know what it is) and that the other just, came off.. stripped off from the other half of the retainer clip. please help
It’s an older 26lg3dch LG tv. The hdmi port is locked and we’re going to be here a few weeks. Any help would be much appreciated by both myself and my bed rested, pregnant wife.
We’ve already unblocked the hdmi port in the system. The inputs takes me to three channel banks and an “inactive tv - call attendant”. Unable to get enough torque to unscrew the coaxial.
