POST A QUESTION

I have an acer swift core i5. never gave me any trouble and always works really fast. Now suddenly yesterday, as i was watching a movie on disneyplus, it started lagging and the fan was being loud like it does on slow laptops. the slowness has not stopped since. my laptop is now slow to the point that i cant watch a movie on netflix as it lags the whole time. i have to emphasize that this happened OUT OF NOWHERE in a split second literally. there were no warning signs. i was just using it and suddenly it went from super fast to being a 10 year old dell in 2016. its so irritating too even as i am writing this

The title says it all. I was trying to fix my computer from a different problem that was upon startup the screen would flash white and so would the taskbar. after many failed attempts I accepted defeat and tried to reset the computer. Upon trying to reset the computer the error message came up saying “ there was a problem resetting the pc try again later” and now I’m stuck so please help.

Hello! I need a little help. I bought an LG monitor 34wq650-w and unfortunately I can't use the full resolution that it should be able to (2560x1080, image 21:9), currently the monitor only allows a resolution of 1920x1080 and an aspect ratio of 16:9. I'm updated the driver and I'm using HDMI 2.1 cable. I'm using laptop, which is a Dell Vostro 3500 (Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics - Processor 11th generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40 GHz, 2419 Mhz, 4 cores, 8 logical processors ( s)). What can be the solution?

Hey y’all, I having some issues with my laptop and what I’m guessing is causing the issues is the gpu, because when ever I go to play games, the system will freeze or the screen will go black and the system will be unresponsive. Both times result in me having to do a hard shutdown, what’s strange about it is it will happen after random amounts of time. And once in a while it will blue screen. Also everything seems normal, gpu temps are within acceptable ranges 75-80c no oc from what I know, cpu temps are ok 80-85c with no oc, disk heath is great, ram is good.

Only happens on laptop screen not external monitors

Recently my husband and I made the switch to Threads from Twitter. Right away, my husband was getting women in his FYP. Eventually when he started following more of his interests they went away. However, I noticed one day when he typed in the first couple of letters of of a girls name (specifically a porn star he liked), she didn’t pop up but a bunch of other provocative accounts did with that name. I tested it on mine and none of those accounts popped up for me. He swore he never looked them up or didn’t know who they were. That was maybe a month or two ago. Fast forward to last night, he was typing in those letters again to look someone up and I noticed the provocative accounts weren’t popping up anymore. He denied blocking them and didn’t know why they disappeared. They just straight up vanished from his suggestion bar.

Does anyone know why they would just suddenly vanish without blocking? Or why they would even appear to begin with? They appeared like from the start when he first made the account, literally hadn’t liked anything, hadn’t followed anyone, nothing.

Hey guys not sure if anyone has ever ran into this but I just added a 2nd M.2 to my mother board I can see it in bios and I can see it in storage settings through windows but I cannot see it in Disk Management to actually format it for use. Anyone ran into this issue before?

I did command prompts for Fortnite so I’ll have better and stable fps and now it’s stuck in performance mode and for the new Lego mode i want to play it in directx12 and im pretty sure its because of the command prompts I did how do I delete the cmd prompts? I alr deleted and reinstalled the game

I have ran the powershell script:

set-mailbox [mailbox name] -MessageCopyForSendOnBehalfEnabled $True -MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled $True

I have verified that the setting shows correctly in Admin Center but the Outlook client doesn't save the message in the shared mailbox. I find them in the users sent items? From what i have read it is either supposed to show up in the shared mailbox only or in both the shared mailbox and the users primary mailbox. I am not sure what else I can do to get this to work properly. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Experiencing an issue where my computer emits the USB disconnect sound randomly, regardless of whether I'm gaming or working. No matter the activity, the sound persists, accompanied by a slight computer stutter. While my system remains generally stable, I'm puzzled about the cause. I've captured a screenshot of my device list in settings, attempting to identify any missing components, but with no success. Any insights or suggestions to figure out the source of this USB disconnect sound would be very appreciated. Ty.

Hey y’all I’m having some issues with my laptop and specifically the dgpu. I’ve got a msi raider ge75 10sf 2019-2021 model with a i7 10750H and a 2070, I bought it second hand a few months ago and it’s been working well until a few weeks ago, I was playing a game and all of the sudden the whole system became unresponsive and the disk activity light turned off, so I rebooted it and went back to playing, it kept getting worse until I couldn’t even get past the windows Lock Screen. After that I wiped all the drives and reinstalled windows 10, and it seems to be better but still crashes whenever I use the dgpu for extend periods of time. At this point I have tried all I can do except for repasting the chips, but the temps seem to be ok, 85c for cpu and 75-80c for gpu. Will y’all help me solve this issue?

I recently protected my hard disks with BitLocker, using Windows 11, as "just in case" precaution if a break-in happens and my computer is stolen.

Unfortunately, my regular local account has a stupid bug that blocks it for accessing a Microsoft account (the login appears as a grey popup and nothing happens - no solution for it on the web it seems, as I'm not the only one stuck with that problem).

That said, the local account cannot by accessed by PIN only like the Microsoft one, and I have to keep a "regular" password along a pin on the local account (I can't remove the password option, doing that revokes the pin too): it's still secure enough or the password allows the TPM to be bypassed?

Accidentally left my laptop charging overnight, now it does not turn on unless it's plugged in . As soon as i unplug the laptop its turns off. When its plugged in, it does not charge. It has been stuck at the same battery percentage," it says 56% available(plugged in) ". If i try to run any pc games it crashes the whole laptop when the app opens. Is this confirmed to be a battery issue that needs replacing?

Hi, really not sure what to do here. For a while now I've had an issue where I'll be playing a game in fullscreen exclusive and it will randomly switch to bordered in the middle of play. Specifically, this has been happening the most playing Call Of Duty (using a controller), but it also happened in New World (playing MnK).

A couple weeks ago I tried reinstalling windows 10 and that seemed to do the trick but it started happening again yesterday. I'll be playing and all of a sudden my game goes bordered while my character walks and spins around in circles. I'm not pressing the windows key on accident. I'd much rather fix the issue than just resort to playing in fullscreen borderless, as I'm trying to play with the maximum FPS / minimal input lag possible, but I truly don't even know how else to troubleshoot it. I play on a PS5 Scuf Reflex FPS controller, so it's not an Xbox controller/Xbox accessories issue. I've updated the controller by plugging it into my PS5. Please help me :(

the problem is similar with the one in this post, In that post they suggested using EaseUs so i downloaded it, and it detected a lost partition the same size of my USB, but it doesn't detect a single file, can I still recover some files from there?

I’ve built a few PCs before but this is my first AM5 build. It has a MSI MAG Tomahawk B650 MB, EVGA 650 GT PSU, AMD 7600x, GIGABYTE 4060, Corsair Vengeance C36 6000mhz RAM. Updated to the latest bios, turn off quick boot in BIOS and power settings and still no luck. *also performed another clean install. *tried a good gpu no luck.

It is supposed to be a Christmas gift but it’s running into the issue of not booting with the power button. I have to press the reset button after pressing the power button and watching it just light up and spin. I’ve ordered new RAM to try tomorrow hoping it’s something as easy as that. Thanks everyone!

i was working on my laptop and had an ethernet cable connected , after i was done took out the cable and tried to get on wifi wireless like i usually do since it usually works , but this time it detects no wifi connections for whatever reasons, the wifi is working perfectly fine on my phone and works if i plug in an ethernet cable , i tried literraly everything and nothing works anyone might have an idea ? screenshots below

Hello, just got a new drive and did a fresh install of windows. after the download i turned the pc off and now when i attempt to turn it back on it will not boot or post. an image from the bios is stuck on the screen. How can i fix this?

EDIT: I got it to post into BIOS

I tried everything i could find online from updating drivers to disabling and enabling and everything else related to the control panel as well as network sharing center and comand prompts.

When it comes to Ethernet cable yes it works but when it comes to wifi nothing is working.

Not the main home network not the range extender right next to me not the printer not even phone hotspot.

I even tried 2 different PC wifi devices.

What happens is that it connects to the network but its like im conneced to a brick wall and Im all out of ideas.

Running on windows 10.

Last week my old monitor died, and I had to buy a new one, so I bought a 24'' Samsung T35F ( the model number is Lf24t350fhlczb). I couldn't find an hdmi port on my PC, and so I checked, my motherboard (GA-H61M-S1) only has a D-SUB output so I stuck to using a VGA cable (I don't have a graphics card and I don't have the money to buy one right now).

The thing is, video looks fine, I've watched movies and even played high res videos to test it, but when it comes to non-moving objects, like text and some images and colours look blurred, like someone smudged them to the right.

I've done everything I could find: clear type, changing resolutions, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, changed the VGA cable for a new one (a longer one my tech gave me, which I guess didn't help the definition problem). So my tech told me to bring in my PC and the monitor. But last night, I gave it one last shot and plugged the VGA cable again, removing everything else from the back of the pc (bluetooth and mouse toggle, and wifi adapter that I don't need bc I'm using an ethernet cable), and suddenly the blur became much less noticeable. Now it's barely there, and it doesn't annoy me too much.

There's still some of it left, but it's not nearly as bad as what it was, just some small shadows to the side.

My question is: is this amount of shadow/smudge/ghosting common with a VGA connection? Is there anything I can do to get it to go away? Do I need a better VGA cable and if I do, what type should I get? Both VGA cables I've used were given to me by my tech, who hasn't seen the monitor yet wants me to send it back and get a new one- but I have my doubts there's something actually wrong with the monitor and I want to know if anyone has any advice or idea.

My X account got unexpectedly suspended and I don't know what to do. I have filed about 6 appeals stating that I don't even know what I did wrong but the only solution I get is the on in the picture below.

The "Hacked or Compromised" link takes me to the page I file the appeals from. The email address is the correct one. There is no option for "phone number associated with the account"

X doesn't have any live chat or phone number so I don't know what to do.

Hi, I know a fair amount about computers but i’m definitely not an expert so please excuse if i use the wrong terminology or anything like that.

After putting my computer into sleep mode and coming back to it an hour later, I turned on my computer and the fans and lights all turned on but there was nothing on the monitors. It wouldn’t even go into the BIOS screen.

First thing I did was obviously check the GPU, which i plugged into another PC and it worked just fine.

Then I replaced the CMOS battery and it worked just fine.

I also plugged in one of the speaker thingys into the motherboard and it didn’t even beep once.

and finally I took out the ram and it worked just fine.

It can’t be the PSU because all the lights and fans are on. So that leaves the CPU, Hard drives, or motherboard. I’m leaning towards it being the motherboard since the speaker didn’t even make noise. Usually when something is wrong it beeps like crazy. But between the 3 I really have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I have a samsung s22 ultra, and well i removed the app and all the media that was on my gallery also got removed? Anyway to recover? I didn't have back ups either. And how can I avoid this in the future? I also have one last question. Does this happen to IOS users? My dad has removed the app and switched and that didn't happen.

Since a couple of hours ago I had this weird problem. Internet is working, and I can normally use YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp etc, but most other websites won't load (Reddit itself for example, I'm writing this from my phone using mobile data). This persists with different devices, different browsers, and I tried to reboot both my devices and the router but nothing changed. Also the problem appeared out of nowhere, I did not turn off my laptop, nor I downloaded or installed anything on it today (and this morning everything was working fine).

Any idea what could cause this weird behaviour?

Yesterday it was completely fine but today I tried to connect to download some stuff and nothing. I ran the troubleshooter and it says "remote device won't accept the connection". My PC is definitely the problem because I tried connecting other stuff to it and it works. I've tried a couple of solutions I saw on Google like disabling the firewall, changing IP address via cmd, changing proxy stuff in the settings (weirdly I've changed the use setup proxy script a few times now and IMMEDIATELY changes back to what it was, meaning it turns on without me doing that), uninstalled the network adapter from device manager and reinstalled it again. Maybe I'm leaving out something else I tried but I think that's about it. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears.

EDIT: did a system restore and it worked
