What really is this series? Is it a thriller? Is it a slice of life? Is it a comedy?
I'm thinking about checking it out but I do need some convincing.
I've seen this character all over the place and there is certainly a following that hasn't budged. I like his design, I like the concept of a butler... doing... things. I suppose what I'm really asking is, what's the plot like?
It doesn't seem to have battles, from what I know, but is there a grander overarching story that gradually develops? Or is it an episodic story? Are there villains? Is there mystery or danger?
I do like the design of this character and I'm trying to gauge if this is the right series for me. Thanks for the help.
I know it's probably too early to tell, but after waiting so many years I've fallen in love with the series all over again, and Cloverworks is doing such a great job that I'm really wondering if this will be all over in a few weeks already. Do y'all think other arcs are being planned? Just getting to Blue Memory would be cool af, but honestly Public School was a huge win already per se.
WHO'S READY TO REAWAKEN THEIR UNDERTAKER FAN GIRL, DEEP INSIDE THEM?! IN THIS NEW SEASON!!! (OR does this count as an OVA?)
Such a difference in 14 years. So proud 🥹
I’ve some how avoided all discourse about the new season, so I was surprised when a coworker said that sever episodes had been published. I thought the ads said in was supposed to come out some time late this year but maybe I’m actually tripping
Now that we're part way through series 4, what series do people think is their favourite and why?
I've always really loved Book of Circus, I love everything from the OP song, the story and the the character interactions. I think it also has the perfect balance between comedy and drama.
Though saying that I love every series 😅
I'm not sure if these have been discussed before but idk maybe I'm reading too much in to this.
First, this particular panel. Ugh the boys are so cute.
Is there a particular reason why Vincent glances at them (or r!ciel) after he said that? I know what he said here is quite sus but why did Yana decide to draw that particular panel of Vincent side eyeing him? It's as if.. (ok I know this is too wild so Imma stop here) Or am I really reading too much into this lol. Or was he glancing at the window, which I don't really think so.
Another panel:
Why the heck were they discussing about who's the next heir to the current heir of the earldom. Yes I know this is not the only time Vincent talks about taking care of the kids if he's gone but here they're talking about the NEXT heir not the current heir. What do you think about this one?
Oh and also, any theories out there on what our Ciel's name actually is? Since some of yall were right about the twin theory. I have no clue at all
This is a random question, but I remember early on in the manga, Ciel mentioned watching tv, however, TV was not around at the time the manga takes place, so not sure what he meant. Does anyone else remember him talking about it? I have a couple theories: It was a mistranslation, or maybe he meant radio and it was an error. It's been awhile since I read it, but I believe it was before chapter 20, and it was never mentioned again.
I know that midway through season 1 and all of season 2 have nothing to do with the manga and are generally considered non-canon. But I did enjoy the story line of Ciel turning into a demon and would’ve liked to see maybe another arc where they travel the world trying to find a way to restore Ciel’s soul to him and making him human again.
Lol just wanted to get that out cause I have no one to talk about the show with and think a lot of the characters are very compelling characters. And I was rewatching to get refresher before I dive into the new season.
Watching the anime for the first time and loved episode 24's dramatic end only to be extremely confused by everything seemingly being back to normal in episode 25. A bit of research suggests that this Hamlet episode is a bonus episode and not part of the main story which makes me think that the way episodes are listed in things like Crunchyroll are super confusing.
What do you think? What's the best order to actually watch and do you think the viewing platforms could do with a better order?
It doesn't feel like Kuroshitsuji...opening feels more like if James Bond/Spy Flick was an anime, and the end...reminds me of dramatic, slice of life harem anime.
Grell is a woman. She isn’t nonbinary or a man. Why do people keep misgendering her? It’s disgusting and transphobic. Grell identifies herself as a woman and it’s heavily implied she committed suicide because of gender dysmorphia.
Sometimes, I wonder if I'm the only one who has an extremely difficult time understanding why Grell is such a fandom favorite. Personally, I've always found characters like Grell annoying and I have no problem with people liking him, because everyone's allowed to have their favorites, but I legitimately can't even guess the reason why so many people love him so much. If you can, please give me an explanation as to why so many love Grell so much, because I do not understand why!
No but why is the school ark being this unhinged 😭
Please keep ALL discussions about the latest Black Butler: Public School Arc episodes here. Any discussions outside of this thread will be removed, including images.
Episodes come out every Saturday at 9 am PST
Are they released every friday or saturday, just so i can try to keep up!
There is very little fan content/discussion for these characters so I wanted to put this out there! They are my favorite characters (to the point where they're kind of the only reason I keep up with the fandom) and I'd love to have some Soma/Agni enjoyers to talk to here or on AO3.
I'm writing an ongoing Soma and Agni centered fanfic that explores their relationship in the canon era through the framing device of a modern reincarnation AU, but I know self promo/links aren't allowed so anyone feel free to comment or DM me if you wanna talk fic or canon or whatever and I can send it to you. I have still not recovered from what Yana did to my sweet boy Agni so pls commiserate with me :')
Here’s chapter 212. Please make sure to keep all discussions of it on this post, and make sure any posts about it have a spoiler tag :)))
Also, please do not make a separate post uploading chapter 212, I will have to remove it as spam if you do, I don’t want to see it posted 3 times (as I don’t want the server to have any copy right issues). If there are any issues with the link, just let me know! See you next month:)))
Just like the title says. I am just saying that the opening is cool and sounds awesome.
This is a mildly scruffy sketch of two of the Grim Reapers { Shini-Gami } namely Grelle and William, Grelle's design remains unchanged from the last I drew her, and I have drawn William in a full mourning suit, not a modern suit with a stand collar like how he's draw in the manga and anime
